Radioactive Iodine (131I) is the safest, best and ultimately least costly lifetime treatment for almost all hyperthyroid cats. There are no radiation side effects for treated cats, owing to the selective uptake of radioactive iodine by "abnormal" thyroid cells.

Proceed about 100 yards on Gateway Loop and look for the brown office Building (Raymar Building) on the left hand side of the street.
Thank you for fixing me up in April. Now I'm running around, catching mice and birds, eating a lot, demanding and getting attention and sleeping whenever and wherever I please. It's a good life. Spook is doing SO WELL! She has gained weight (I can no longer feel her spine) and her fur is soft, smooth and healthy. She has a lot more energy and runs around the house like a kitten. Thanks again for helping Spook.

Dr. Evans has one of two feline hyperthyroid treatment clinics in OR. He was responsive, very nice to deal with and explained the procedure very well. The radioisotope therapy for my cat worked beautifully and she is nearly back to her former sweet self. I recommend this clinic to anyone who has a hyperthryoid cat; the radioisotope treatment is much kinder than lifelong methimazole medication.

Don't let your cat die from hyperthyroidism when you live near such a reasonably priced feline thyroid clinic! Dr. Evans saved my Charlie in 2011. If it weren't for his clinic - one of the least expensive feline thyroid clings in the U.S., and the nonprofit that was able to pay for the treatment because of that fact, Charlie wouldn't have gone on to live 5 more happy years and pass away from something totally unrelated. Highly recommended!
