Since 1960 established as Poultry Health Laboratories, PHL produced many number of vaccines for farm animals and even domestics pets and exotic birds. While chickens and turkeys occupied the majority of the early efforts of the company, our autogenous products were also a key component in making the company successful.

Founders Report

In the early 1960's, Dr. Robert Wichmann obtained his D.V.M. and Ph. D. from the University at California Davis. Instead of going into the small animal field, his interests were geared more towards microbiology and finding new ways to develop and produce vaccines for farm or feed animals.
