The people here are amazing and they all clearly have big hearts. My family has been taking our pets to Alpine for years and have never had a bad interaction or experience. I am a big crier when my cat is hurt or afraid, and I can always see sympathy on the staff's faces when I'm crying. It's comforting that they feel sympathy for a crying owner rather than looking annoyed.
They have always been super gentle and caring with my cats, even when one of my cats was not being pleasant. I called them the other day after my cat got into a fight to get their opinion on how to care for him, they offered advice and the receptionist was so kind and patient with me while I was crying on the phone. The facility has always looked immaculately clean, and we order our cat's food through them and the food has been so good for my cats and their bladders! If I could give them a million star review I would! Highly recommend!

My dog was nervous. The vet didn't even try to help my dog feel comfortable, but immediately grabbed him by the collar, which scared him. So she pinned him on the ground while he cried and then she muzzled him. He is a very sweet mini golden doodle who has never had any problems before. The vet was very aggressive with my dog leaving us with a traumatic experience and she wasn't even friendly or helpful with me. Worst vet visit I have ever had! The only reason I give them 2 stars is because the nurse was nice and sweet with my dog and he was just great for him. The vet deserves one star at best!

Good staff and very nice building & equipment, but quite expensive. It's a shame that we can't keep taking our cat here solely based on the cost. Ive spent over $700 on the last 3 appointments for an ear infection that just doesn't seem to go away. Our cat's ears have costed us more than when our daughter broke her leg.that's a problem. I do get the feeling they care more about making a buck than they do about caring for the animals, especially with all their hidden/unexpected cost.
We dropped our cat off for 45 minutes and got charged $20 for a stay, even though they offered to take him after I told them I would wait until the following week when I had time off. Nobody bothered mentioning it would cost more money. I had time to stop for coffe and pull into my drive way when they called to tell me he was ready to be picked up. Id rather walk into a more "run down" building and actually be able to afford getting our pets help, than to come here and end up paying an arm and a leg for treatment that so far hasn't even been solving the problem.

Negative stars if that was an option! Alpine completely botched my bunnies spay, who was perfectly healthy before it, and now she is dead! After taking her to Alameda, where they actually know about animals, I was told she had a 4 inch mass of something that shouldn't be there, but was told by the vet at Alpine that is was just her liver, well it wasn't because she bled out to death!
Before that I was misquoted on the price of spaying and also told to fast my poor baby bunny which you're not supposed to do! They are the most unknowledgeable and unprofessional and unhelpful employees I've ever encountered! Brought her in for a checkup, and was misquoted for a second time on the price of the visit! Plus, clearly since my bunny is dead, once again they don't know what they're doing!
The employees seem to know nothing about anything, and are so uncompassionate it's sickening! Do not take your bunny there because they know nothing about them! I will never step foot in that vet office again for anything! Trust me it's worth your time to wait to get into a good vet like Crystal at Alameda! #bewareofalpine #deadbunny

First visit with my two furry friends since moving to Idaho. My 5 year old Maltese whimpers every time you touch her where they gave her boasters. She also just wants to lay around and not even go outside which she always is happy to. Never had this happen with my other vet or other shots. I'm very sad over this. Prices seemed high. When getting quotes for their teeth cleaning. The attendant seemed very nice. Other than that not sure if I want to return. These shots should not effect them like this.

I had a horse that I thought was colicking today. I called and Seth said to bring him in. Seth was amazing, showed me how to give antibiotics and when to give them. He offered to keep my horse overnight since we live out of town and he would update me. I wasn't home two hours when he called to let me know my horse had pooped and his fever was down. Thanks Dr. Lundquist you've gained a new family.

Several months ago we had gone into a vets office and were treated poorly and left with no answers and our cat was still puking. We called alpine puking. Immediately were able to get us in.the staff are very friendly and understanding.the dr.treated us like human beings and our pet like a pet instead of a number.he listened and ran the necessary tests to figure out the problem.we highly recommended alpine to any and all looking for good place to take their pets!

We took our two cats here for the first time this week and for sure, this is their new vet going forward. The older one, Yoda, is a rather difficult cat and I was worried because other vets haven't wanted to touch him because he can be aggressive when strangers try to handle him. The people at Alpine were super patient with my grumpy baby, though. Ultimately, Yoda did have to be sedated, as expected, and they were gentle about it and he was able to get all of his immunizations. It was an overall success and I highly recommend Alpine, especially to pet parents who hope to minimize the stress to fearful pets.

This happened a year ago but I feel I should post. I went on a cruise. My diabetic dog did not eat at first and his sitter contacted the on call vet at Alpine for advice. She was told to feed him Caro syrup. As a result he was hospitalized for several days. I came home to a 1200 dollar bill and a dog that was blind and so frail I had to put him down within the month. I will not be using their services again.

Murdered my dog, I took him in because other vets where suggesting amputation and they also agreed that was the best course of action. Quoted me 600. charged me 900. When I took my dog in for surgery on my birthday. theh murdered him didnt level out his biology to ensure his body could handle the surgery, no they just doctor kevorkian my dog. Then not only did they kill my animal they increased the price of the botched/Failed surgery.
I was distraught I couldn't work or function for months after they killed my animal. then when I went in for his remains they wouldn't release his ashes. you are a disgrace to humans every where. Such horrible evil people. Now here we are about a year after they killed my poor dog I am being sued for 1500 dollars now from these murderers.
Do not take your animal or anything you love here. This is a despicable diabolical evil place. These people do not care about anything but a quick buck. You will pay for your sins.

Make sure to ask prices when they tell you how they wanna treat your animal. My cat came in with bites and I told them where the bad one was located and they completely missed it so it's still swollen. But the antibiotics are hopefully helping him at the moment and I'm treating the actual wound myself. During the physical, they called me and let me know he had a fever that indicated infection (duh, he has bites from the stray cat that always lead to abscesses, I just got to the vet before they got that bad) and they wanted to do a blood test "To see what's going on" (HE HAS AN INFECTION FROM A BITE DUH) but didn't bother telling me it was gonna be $170 freaking dollars!
I had called the day before to ask if I could just come pick up some antibiotics because he gets bit aaaallll the time so I know the drill, and they told me he HAS to have an appointment in order to get them. (Which is fine, I understand.) But they turned it into a $300 bill that I had to pay that I was NOT anticipating AT ALL. I am a broke college student and when they called to get my payment over the phone, I was bawling by the time they brought my cat out to me because I couldn't just NOT pay the bill.
They missed the wound, didn't bother to tell me the cost of a blood count, and all I wanted was some $37 antibiotics. So now I'm pissed and missing other bills because I make my own money on a part time job and I can't GET any FAFSA. And I had to have surgery yesterday so now I can't work for a few weeks so I'm $300 out anyway and now I won't even receive a paycheck for a month.

Our Yorkie Bentley got sick while traveling between Missoula MT and Peoria AZ on a Friday night in Pocatello ID. I called Alpine Animal Hospital on Saturday morning to see if we could possibly get an appointment and get him looked at. Dr Hemingway said bring him in and they would work him in the schedule. We showed up at 8 in the morning, and they got him right in, and the service was exceptional!
Our little one made it home with no other issues the rest of our trip and is now back to his original self. The hospital and staff were exceptional and I highly recommend them for any of your veterinary needs.

I had written a long complaint but decided to make it short and sweet. I always see one of the vets at Walmart and will speak to him then. Bottom line Jennifer in the front is not a welcoming person. Seems to have a huge chip on her shoulders. Spoke to other people that have said the same. Steer clear of this negative person!
