We recently had an emergency with our older Dachshund who was choking and sneezing and couldn't stop. It was after 10pm and we went to Calusa and saw Dr. McLeod who was attentive, helpful and informed. It honestly was a pleasant surprise. The only concern was that it wasn't very busy but checking out took longer then it should of. I won't take away a star though.

Dr. Turkell and his team are the Gold Standard! There is no other vet I have met in over 40 years as knowledgeable and caring about our fur babies. He wants only whats best for them while always considering our feelings and wallets. There is no one better than him! Thank you Dr Turkell for you have done for Buster and Tippy! And now Sinatra! You are the BEST!

We took our 13yr old golden retriever Macy to Calusa late at night on Memorial Day when she suddenly collapsed. The staff and care at Calusa was very caring and supported us late into the night trying to diagnose what was happening. Macy unfortunately is no longer with us but the team did their best to make our angel Macy as comfortable as could be.

I also want to especially thank Amanda at Calusa for helping us a few days afterwards when we changed our minds as to how we wanted Macy to be handled. We are thankful beyond words for Amanda's help.

I brought my kitten Finnegan in yesterday after he had a vaccine reaction (at a different vet) and was really ill. I live too far from my normal vet so I brought him there and they took him immediately. I've been at other emergency vets before and it wasn't that way. They acted promptly, let me fill in paperwork after they already took him back, and told me everything that was going on. Dr. McDonald came and spoke with me at length to make sure I understood everything.

The doctor called me to update me at exactly the time she told me she would. I took him home later that night and the nurse provided me with a detailed report of everything and even followed up with me today to see how he was doing. I couldn't ask for anything more. I'm so grateful for them!

Just had the most horrifying yet comforting experience at this vet. We came in freaking out about our dog getting into a Bufo Toad. Without hesitation they took action, calmed us down, acted professionally, provided top tier service to our pet, and treated him successfully. All parties left smiling and I would definitely recommend this vet to others! THANK YOU SO MUCH!

Calusa Veterinary staff are the best of the best. Our dog Bern started going to Calusa when he joined our family at 9 weeks old. Calusa staff are so kind, caring and pampering that at 9 months old, a trip to Calusa is Berns favorite outing. When Bern developed pneumonia he stayed at Calusa for 5 days.we knew he was in great hands with their 24/7 medical staff and they sent pictures daily of Bern. During the peak of Covid, they made arrangements for us to visit our sick pup. We highly recommend Calusa Veterinary Center!

Calusa staff has been wonderful with my animals and also keeping me up to date with all of them. About a year ago I got another puppy to add to my pack. So I have had many appointments for the little guy over the last year. The curb side service they started due to covid has been great! So easy and organized, just park and hang out and they come to you a vet calls you during appointment to keep you informed.

I have been working remotely and I am able to work from my car while I wait. And if I want to join him for the visit I can too! The 24 hour emergency is great so I never have to worry about anything ever happening at night or weekends. Dr. Crain is just the best with all my animals they all love her so much, and most of them now enjoy the vet.

I ran to Calusa tonight with my little Yorkie because he was throwing up blood. The door was locked which is odd for an emergency hospital but due to covid it's understandable. However when the girl came to the door she was cold, annoyed, and made us feel very unwelcome. We were obviously distressed and she was so horrible we turned around and rushed to Coral Springs Animal Hospital where they were very professional and empathetic.

Do NOT waste your time and money here! And a message to the hospital: whoever that girl was, thin, with shoulder length light color hair and glasses should not be working with the public
