Very unhelpful, judgemental, and rude. I brought my dog in for shots and he's a very nervous boy. I warned them about it more than once. When he freaked out they started calling vicious and mean dog. When I was leaving the receptionist was talking about how my dog needs to be put down. I don't recommend coming here.

We brought our dog here on the recommendation of some family, but we haven't had the best experience. We've had two occasions where we arrived before our appointments, but had to wait past appointment times with no apologies from the staff. At one appointment, my husband asked to cancel as he had already waited for close to an hour and when he said he didn't want to reschedule and have to wait again, all he got was an "ok." More recently, we brought our dog in for excessive vomiting, not eating/drinking and not using the restroom.
They did some x-rays, but said they found nothing and sent us home with nausea medicine and instructions to come back if she kept throwing up. I called the next morning because she still was not eating the things we had tried to give her off the list they gave and they told me I shouldn't try those things and instead try overcooked rice. I went home on my lunch break and found that she would not eat that either, she had thrown up again and could barely walk.
The lady on the phone suggested I bring her in that evening, but as we had just paid them $270 the previous day (to tell us nothing) I told her we didn't think we'd have the money. She changed her tone and just said we could bring her in the following afternoon. She had no sense of urgency and did not care to explain our payment options, like the CareCredit.
The next morning, we woke up to our dog not moving and just laying on the floor. Dissatisfied with their clinic, I called El Paso in Derby. The girl on the phone was so nice and asked if I could bring my dog immediately. I took my dog down there, was in a room within 15 minutes and the vet came in immediately. I explained to them the same things Caring Hearts had heard and the vet told me they would do some x-rays just to make sure, but she said they were going to do blood work as well because she was 99% positive there was a blockage and my dog would need surgery.
They took her back and within half an hour had called me to say they located the blockage and would get her into surgery. Thanks to El Paso, our dog is eating again and on her way to recovery and it didn't send us into debt because they were glad to suggest the CareCredit and explain how it works. I suggest taking your pets there, people. I had such a better experience, it doesn't even compare.

Caring Hearts has taken care of all of my fur babies for over 15 years! 2 dogs & 3+ cats. They have provided all of my puppy-death care for my wonderful dogs and have assisted me in keeping my 15+ year old cat healthy & happy. The staff is VERY busy, but my pets care has ALWAYS been their first priority. Dr. Geri puts my pets at ease and takes time to find out my concerns. Always considering my input when deciding on care.

Arrived before apt time. Waited in a room for 45 min. I took our dog back outside and my spouse waited to talk to the desk person. She was not spoken to and ignored completely. I dont care if they are cheaper than some vets the rudeness is inexcusable. We took our dog to another vet. I dont know why the attitude but we will never take an animal here again.

Ive been going to this vet many years. They are very caring and its even in there name! They took great care of my cat when she needed a check up. When I bring my dog to get her nails clipped they always do a great job! I recommend making an appointment though because being a walk in can cause wait time and you'll have to be patient. you wont be disappointed!

Easily the best Vet I have seen in Wichita. You do need to be aware that they are VERY busy as many Vet clinics in town have closed. You need to be patient timeframes, trust me it is worth it! This is a place to establish long term, primary care. This is a family doctor office. Dr Gerri and her staff made my dog ( who has super anxiety from abuse ) feel more comfortable then she has ever been anywhere.they did the same for me to now that I think about.
They actually scheduled a call to check on us after a routine visit In addition to that all my meds are given to me in house. They do offer the option for order online and send to home as well. Also they have their forms on the website so you can fill them out and bring with or email over to them.

As a new customer, as my original vet closed, new patient for my dogs called, a month and a half before the actiual appoitment date, which puts us at a week before they needed boarded. They are UTD on shots, needed an additional one to board them. They said not a problem, bring in all your additional paperwork of their records, and we can get you in.
Less than a week before they need to be boarded, I get a call, we can't give you that shot without a thorough doctor visit. Alright, let's make that appointment, sorry were 2 months out. You need to find another vet. Very rude on the phone, made it into my problem because of their policy they don't even follow. I under stand accidents happen, but they had no sympathy for the situation they put me in.

Dr. Gerri is very knowledgeable and she really cares about the animals. Pricing is really fair compared to a lot of other places. Another vet had us pretty convinced that we were going to have to let our cat go. She was able to zero in on what was making him sick and had different options for us. We appreciate this clinic so much.
