At The Healing Place, we believe there are two aspects to caring for your pet, Pet Wellness and Veterinary Services. We provide Annual Wellness Exams, workshops, supplements and the highest quality pet foods to help keep your pet healthy. Check our calendar for upcoming workshops. We provide a large range of Veterinary Services that include Comprehensive Holistic Evaluations, Veterinary Orthopedic Manipulation, Frequency Specific Low Level Laser, Ozone Medical Therapy, Cryo Therapy, Routine Diagnostic Testing, as well as Vaccines and Titer Testing.
Services
Dr. Kallenbach earned her Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Agriculture (with special interest in nutrition) and a Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from the University of Florida. She has practiced veterinary medicine for almost 20 years in Citrus County. After graduation, she worked for several years in a conventional veterinary practice before opening her own holistic veterinary practice in 2002.
Your first visit with us takes approximately 45 minutes where we sit together and discuss your pet's health concerns, medical history, nutritional plan, exercise and activity level as well as any current "problems". Dr Kallenbach will do a variety of exams from a conventional head to toes examination but with extra emphasis on orthopedic and muscular balance as well as gait. She will review any past diagnostics such as radiographs and blood work and discuss any additional that might be beneficial.
This article addresses Cancer in pets, although cancer can be found in both pets and people. What is Cancer in pets? Cancer is the uncontrolled growth of cells creating masses or "tumors". Any type of cell in the body can become cancerous or a "tumor". Once these cells grow out of control, they take over.

This is a great veterinary practice blending the best of Western and holistic medicine to care for your beloved pets. Dr Trish is incredibly informative and all of our staff are professional, helpful, personable and a pleasure to work with. Unlike some practices, there's no hard sell of products though there are excellent products available to supplement your animals' health.
They've also partnered to offer anesthesia free dental cleaning for dogs and cats. This is a game changer. We've been delighted with the results and especially delighted not to have to put our fur babies under anesthesia. Highly recommended

You know I was a bit skeptical about chiropractic techniques for my dog but I am totally sold. My poor old shihtzu has been struggling so. Fumbling and tripping when he walked. He looked in pain when he would want to sit down. After one treatment I could see great improvement. Second treatment he seems happy again. Ready to engage, jumping around, just generally good. For 14 years old it is money well spent. Thank you Dr. Trish and Lisa I did not imagine he could feel so much better so quickly.

I have been dealing with vets for many years now and had become accustomed to receiving vague explanations and hypothetical scenarios when questioning my dogs symptoms and current condition. My dogs health is incredibly important and I like to stay informed so I can provide her the best care. Dr. Trish was the answer to my prayers.
