Our goal is to practice the highest quality veterinary medicine and surgery with compassion and an emphasis on client education. Cobb Veterinary Clinic was founded by Dr. Robert L Cobb, who grew up in rural Texas in the small town of Haskell, where his dream of becoming a veterinarian began. When he graduated from Texas A&M University in 1979, he knew he wanted to provide quality veterinary care to those in rural areas and those in the ranch and rodeo world in which he was raised.Upon graduation, an opportunity to work with Dr. Mike Close of Midland was available, and he was eager to get started.
Our entire healthcare team is committed to providing personal attention to the unique concerns of each individual owner. Our veterinarians are excited to be at Cobb Veterinary Clinic where they are part of an amazing family. They are committed to your animals whether it be a family pet, performance animal, or livestock.

We LOVE Cobb vet clinic! Between all our horses, dogs and cats they've been amazing with everything we've needed. They handle our small animal needs well, all vaccines, illnesses, surgeries, etc. Our equine needs (repro, injuries, teeth, vaccines, etc) have all been met at Cobb. They're honest when they feel like a situation needs to be taken elsewhere, and super helpful in communicating with us. They were so kind when we had to put one of our dogs down. They treat us like family. Highly recommend this vet to everyone!

Very professional people who work there. We took our horse here and they got us in and out, straight forward. Very nice set up for a vet clinic. If I'd have to choose a vet clinic from now on, I'd definitely choose Cobb Vet clinic over any others that I've been to in West Texas. Definitely recommend this amazing vet clinic! 10 out of 10!

One of my concerns is how overbooked they are- several times I had to wait almost an hour to be seen by a vet coming to my reservation on time. Second and MAIN concern -manager lady Jen (I might spell it wrong). She kicked me out after an hour of waiting because I said "what more kind of bullshit there is" (because in past 2 months we can't get our dogs to Hawaii) and she got offended by me using that word.
There is always something pops out that needs to be done to be able to fly to Hawaii, it's so frustrating. She yelled that I am fired (was I hired though?) and literally put all my effort to get my dogs with me to Hawaii down to drain. I do not appreciate the attitude she gave me. She can yell on her children or her relatives all she wants, but as a customer service rep she does a terrible job of keeping her anger in check.
It was the worst experience I have ever had. She just left us in the back of clinic and was loudly telling it to her co-workers behind the door while I was trying to find my way out.

I took my puppy when she was 14 weeks and they told me she'd die of distemper anyways after I purchased medicine to treat an upper respiratory infection. I later could not get them to schedule an appointment for her so I took her to a different vet. My new vet informed me that the medication prescribed was not meant for puppies that had puppy teeth because it can cause severe plaque buildup and gum damage. So my now 2 year old dog has the worst stains on her teeth oh and she didn't die like Cobb told me she would.
