I constantly see dogs with the presenting complaint, "He was shaking his head so I used some ear mite drops that I bought at [insert retail outlet], and it isn't any better." Of course there's a reason for that. In about 80% of my patients, it isn't ear mites at all. The biggest demographic in my practice with mites is kittens and puppy mill bred puppies (Yorkies, ShihTzus and other small or toy breeds).
One of the most common conditions that I am called upon to treat in practice is dermatitis. While some cases of dermatitis can easily be chalked up to fleas or even poor hygiene, many are caused by underlying allergies. Let's face it, we live in what is called "The Allergy Belt." In fact, right now it is February and the television weather and newscasters have been talking about the pollen count for two weeks.

During a recent emergency situation where we had to take in our 14 yr old girl Zoe, we were gotten in as soon as we got there and checked and she was treated very well, altho we didn't get the diagnosis we wanted we have peace knowing they have our sweet Zoe's best interest at heart. Dr Culbertson and Amanda as well as Mrs Debbie we're amazing during a very scary time for us. Thank you for what y'all do!

Very hard to rate. The well respected vet and assume owner goes above and beyond. She makes the business. Any other vet now seems like they do as little as possible and takes risks In my humble opinion. This could be a 5 star animal hospital if Compassion followed the path of dr holmes and all followed her lead I believe we would feel more Informed of our family pet s status.

Holmes Veterinary Hospital really cares about animals! Actions speak louder than words. I cannot express the gratitude I feel towards this hospital and Dr. She was there when no one else was willing to help feral cats. This was the second time she was there for me. Please support her and this veterinarian office by bringing your furbabies family here.
You can trust that she will do her best to help. I also was willing to pay more and she wouldn't accept. She only does what needs to be done and will not overcharge you! (again.actions speak louder than words! )

A+ Establishment! I have a relative who owns a pet boarding business, but I would rather take my dog here and pay for him to stay! : The staff is amazing with my mean little chihuahua and treats him like family. They are gentle when doing medical exams and treatments, even though he is muzzled. Now that we've moved nearly an hour away, I still take my dog to Holmes. He is happier there than any of the other 5-10 places we've tried, and he is well taken care of and loved by the staff.
