Dr. Ahalt is the best. He understands the special needs of frenchies and I feel confident taking my French Bulldog to him for l her veterinary needs.

Groomers were beyond amazing! I have never needed a pet groomed before and they were so kind and informative. I will 100% go there from now on exclusively for all my pet grooming needs!

Hands down the absolute best vet in a 2 hour drive from where I live in the eastern panhandle. All other vets are understaffed and are pushing you in and out the door. This vet is kind, understanding, tolerant, informative and fairly priced.

They are the only place I feel comfortable taking our dog to. She's not easily comforted by anyone, the staff seems to always makes her feel relaxed as possible.

Knowledgeable, sympathetic, and very understanding. The Jefferson Veterinary Hospital, is close to my home, and took my sweet angel baby Jenna, in as an emergency. She had been misdiagnosed by her regular vet, but Dr Smith did all that she could to save her. I lost my precious kitty, but Dr Smith and the staff were very supportive and sympathetic. I recently adopted a new kitty, and Dr Smith at the Jefferson Veterinary Hospital, will definitely be her new vet.

My dog has been going to them for several years. I now live in Washington County, Maryland but was still willing to take her to Jefferson, Maryland. Unfortunately I will be finding a new vet closer to me due to their outrageously high prices! It cost me approximately $150 for her to get an "exam" and a rabies shot! I had asked them an approximate cost when I made the appointment. They told me around $100. NEVER AGAIN!

Extremely emotionally manipulative to trick you into paying higher prices for unnecessary testing while never letting you know the price until you're at checkout and feel pressured to pay. If you question the amount, they shame you by saying "well, people who can't afford things usually let us know beforehand." My bill was literally $999.07 and not once even a warning it would be that much.

Next time I call for an appointment and ask how much, I was told they couldn't say, but once I arrived for the appointment they could. (Still don't understand that logic, likely another trick to encourage paying since you're already there). Do not trust this practice, they will try and scam you. Went to a different vet who wouldn't trick and manipulate me just down the road.

Same state, same county. Heart worm test with Jefferson $96. Heart worm test $44 at my new vet office. And that's pretty telling right there how money oriented Jefferson is. Especially Dr. Kalf who has on more than one occasion tried to get me to pay expensive testing for Cushings disease that turned out to be hypothyroidism. Then this last time tried to convince me it was Cushings again, despite no symptoms for that, and turned out my dog had a skin yeast infection.

Terrible practice. Save money and sanity by going elsewhere. This vet doesn't care about you and your pet. They only want to profit off the love we have for our furry babies. Utterly disgusting service and, honestly, shame on them.

Very friendly and great location. I was on a delivery driver trip to them. Their cheerfulness was especially appreciated by me and they gave me an additional tip above the standard in app tip which really made my day, in that rainy and windy day!

We have taken our pets here for years and have always been happy with the service, unfortunately that has changed. We saw a different vet today than normal, and she did not seem to have any experience or common sense when it comes to working with dogs, nor did she seem interested in even doing such work. We should have known it was going to be a bad experience when they still couldn't "find" the doctor 30 minutes into our appointment. I don't know if the previous doctor we typically see is still there, but either way we wont be returning.

My dog was recently diagnosed with cancer. Due to the pandemic, most vets were booked. When I called on Monday afternoon, they made a spot available for me Wednesday morning and started chemo right away. Everyone there is so nice and friendly. The dr calls back if you have questions or concerns and they let you come in and usher you to a private room so you can discuss your pet with the dr.

They maintain social distancing and greet you in the parking lot, but it is so wonderful that they take the extra time to clean and sanitize the rooms so that you can come in for a consultation as well. I could not be more impressed with this facility. We live over an hour away, but it is worth the drive. We feel confident in their abilities and are grateful for the compassion and kindness shown. Highly recommend!
