Wonderful care and communication. Staff from the moment I arrived in the parking lot were very helpful. Really helped to explain the process of international travel with my cat and get the paperwork started for that.

I have used four other vet clinics in town, and Dr Alicia Finger at Harbor has given my cat Molly the consistently best and most conscientious treatment of any of them. She is responsive to emailed questions, which is an invaluable service, and obviously really cares about my cat's outcome. Working with Dr Alicia, I have been able to control Molly's IBD and maintain her good health into her ~17th year. A trusted doc for a beloved pet is priceless. I have also found the front desk staff to be friendly and helpful.

Good place to bring your dog/cat/gerbil. We have been going to Harbor HospitaL for many years. Good veterinary service and great techs and staff. They are still following Covid rules i.e call when you arrive and wait in your car until they come to pick up your dog. Kind service. very important.

Grateful for this vet! We take both our cat and rabbit here and the office/vets are great. They don't push services that are not needed and they squeeze you in as best they can if urgent needs come up!

Everyone at Harbor Animal Hospital has been attentive to the needs of my fur-baby and my concerns about him.

I am so very disappointed in the lack of care at Harbor Animal Hospital. In the beginning, we were very pleased with the level of service and care provided by Dr. Beth Owens. Unfortunately, she retired and that's when it all went downhill. We were assigned to a young vet who attempted to provide unnecessary service. We stated we were unsatisfied with her and asked to be assigned to one of the other vets working there.

They denied the request. One night in December, our cat went into distress and started panting. Harbor turned us away and refused to see her. She died that night and I will never forgive Harbor for being so lacking in care. I will never visit this business again and I will never recommend them to pet owners.

Harbor Animal Hospital is a great place to take your pet. I have been seeing the same Doctor since she opened the place and she was our doctor well before that. Staff is friendly and always goes well and beyond for you and your special loves.

Always really helpful. Been great at managing things since COVID hit. We started bringing our dog to this hospital when we found out that our usual vet got a job here. Alicia is the greatest and anywhere she chooses to go I have faith in.

I followed my veterinarian to Harbor Companion, knowing nothing about the practice. I am so happy to have found them! I haven't been inside due to Covid, but the service has been excellent. Great staff, very responsive, good care for my elderly dog. My regular vet, Dr. Alicia Finger, is attentive, intelligent, and obviously loves what she does, and on the one occasion when she was not there, Dr. Valenti gave my pup absolutely first rate care. It's a bit of a drive from my home, but it's worth it! I'm very happy with this practice!

Well run and caring staff! Dr. Wempe is the best vet we've ever had. Dr. Carl Rasmussen is also outstanding! Very caring, extremely knowledgeable and respectful of our decisions as the pet's owner. Rare combination in a vet these days. Wish I could give them 10 stars.

This practice is fantastic. They truly care about your pet and their care. We have seen two of the veterinarians there and both have been extremely knowledgeable and helpful. I feel that they never rush you and take time to explore all possible options for your pet's medical needs.

We continue to be disappointed in Harbor animal hospital. The front office staff just isn't very friendly or happy. We seem to be a bother to them. The phone rings forever and it never seems like a good visit. They charged us $20 for a poor nail clipping when Petco charges $15 for a nice clip and buff.

We are new to the area and are very disappointed. We brought our puppy here for shots last month and will not return. It is nice that they are trying to work within COVID guidelines but, they are not at time and took ten minutes for someone to answer the phone to check us in. Then when the employee came to the car she didn't seem to enjoy her job.

She was extra crabby and short with us. We didn't feel good about leaving our dog there. We recommend you find another place for your pets, we are. Hopefully they will hire people in the future that like pets and people!

Really great staff, and facility. They have admirably adapted their practices to suit the covid 19 situation and Dr Owen, who was reccomended by the local rabbit rescue, was able to give me practical, and care-laden advice for my rabbit. His illness is unfortunately not treatable but they were able to provide medications to make him comfortable and put my mind at ease knowing that I tried my best and that he isn't suffering through his illness. I would reccomend this clinic based on my experience.

I am giving this clinic two stars because Dr Wempe is amazing BUT he is retiring and less available. The front office staff seems often overwhelmed and generally bothered when we check in or call. Their follow up is sporadic and the veterinarians unavailable so there isn't any continuation of care with a doctor or tech. We have stayed for over 2 years hoping things would improve but now that one of our animals has a more serious health issue, we are moving to another clinic in GH. Veterinary appointments can be stressful and we don't need the staff to make things worse.

Dr. Whimpe is the best a pet parent could ask for! He is so knowledgeable and great at explaining medical care. Most importantly, he is kind. His heart is pure gold. He has been so caring to my cats and dogs and to my husband and I. He has always helped us make the best decisions for our pets. He has been the best vet I have ever experienced. I will never take my fur babies anywhere else. Thank you dr. Whimpe!

In my opinion, there is no better in Gig Harbor. Carla and her staff are so caring and compassionate I will never go elsewhere. They are also very understanding when it comes to finances, always offering self-vaccination where feasible if you need to save money. We've been loyal customers for YEARS.

I've been taking my pets here for over 10 years. The doctors and staff are compassionate and take the time to diagnose and treat effectively. I highly recommend.

Extremely gracious. Lovely compassion. Very professional. It's everything you could ask for in a veterinarian. We feel confident in Harbor Animal Hospital as we have had four pets here, one of them euthanized. We love this place.

If you live near this Veterinary Hospital I highly recommend going there! The staff is super courteous, knowledgeable and attentive! To top it off their prices are very very reasonable and fixing my dog's broken toe was done the same day. Not only do they have excellent knowledge of physically treating the animals but I also believe that they have a great psychological understanding of animals and their behaviors.

The Dr. I visit at Harbor Animal Hospital is Dr. Wempe. He is such a sincere Dr. From our first visit he always spends a lot of time with us and made sure we asked all questions we had before we left. Dr. Wempe referred me to a great Oncologist for my fur baby and after each visit to the Oncologist, I always received a call from Dr. Wempe asking how it went which I really appreciated.

After we had to put our baby down, we received a very sweet, sincere card from Dr. Wempe which I thought was very thoughtful and brought some comfort. I highly recommend Harbor Animal Hospital and Dr. Wempe.

I've been going to this place the last 3 months. Not only is this place close to home and extremely nice, but they worked with me when they were extremely full by still getting my puppy exactly what he needed when he was sick. I will always come back to this vet! :

Have only been twice since moving to this area. Once for a travel certificate and once when vaccinations were due but they seem to be very fairly priced and are kind to the animals. A great location here in Gig and we'll definitely be going back.

Visiting the Gig Harbor area our pup started vomiting. I called the office at 8am, they had a cancelation same day at 10a. We were seen by Doctor Owen at 10a and home by 10:45. She spent lots of time asking questions, examining the dog, explaining things to us. She played with the dog, gave him treats, prescribed meds and told us what to expect. The staff were friendly and helpful. We feel very fortunate to have found Harbor Animal Hospital and would highly recommend.

This has got to be the best Vet in Pierce County. Every staff member is friendly and extremely knowledgeable and compassionate towards all animals. My animals love this place

I took my cat to Harbor Animal Hospital for years before he passed away, and was not pleased with my experiences with Dr. Pat Dorsey whatsoever. She was completely unprofessional, made me cry on several occasions by accusing me of mistreating my kitty, and never offered to let me go back to the exam room with him for his check-ups. The office as a whole is satisfactory, the front office staff was always very friendly towards me, but I will never return because of the poor care recieved by Dr. D.

Trust these people, they care and it shows - quality care with heart. Just what your pet needs. They are also great with understanding owners!
