Ridgefield Equine doctors and staff are amazing. They are caring and compassionate as well as extremely knowledgeable and professional. I, absolutely, trust my equine care to both of the Practitioners at REC. These two ladies, Dr. Meg and Dr. Ann, have extensive experience in the fields of Equine Reproduction, Sports Medicine, Metabolic System Issues, Dental maintenance and specialty needs, and they are amazing with all the latest needs for preventative care. Dr. Ann is, also, a certified and licensed Equine Chiropractor with AVCA.

From their front desk representative to the Dr.'s assistant staff, you and your four-legged friends are treated with respect, kindness, and true concern for both human and animal welfare. 5 stars for Ridgefield Equine Clinic.

Absolutely wonderful experience! Showed up an hour early and even though we were totally fine waiting they got us right in. The veterinarian and vet tech were very friendly and knowledgeable. Explained everything and made the entire visit with several horses an absolute breeze. Can't recommend this place enough!

Edit: After personally speaking with the team at Ridgefield and both of us hearing eachother out I feel we have come to a place of mutual agreement. I was very heated AKA sick horse and they didnt take the best approach AKA asking for payment prior to letting me know nobody was available. I'm happy to say at this time we are once again bringing our horses back to Ridgefield and I'm happy with the staff addressing my concerns.

I loved Ridgefield Equine for several years of owning my horses. Even when others would disagree I defended my choice of vets. However I have been unhappy with my past few experiences and will be moving my horses care to another vet. Sad to say goodbye however my horses mean the world to me and my 14 year old son. We all deserve the quality and attention to detail we pay for. I no longer feel that it is an even exchange of service.

I have been bringing my horses here for quite some time. They are very friendly and knowledgeable, and I always leave with a good experience knowing that my horses have been well taken care of. Highly recommend them!

Dr. Ray is amazing! She took such great and gentle care of my horse during her float. She carefully monitored my horse as the anesthesia wore off to make sure it was safe to trailer her home. We also discussed worming care and diet. I could not ask for a more caring vet. The vet tech was also super amazing and helpful. Highly recommend their practice!

Ridgefield Equine Clinic was recommended to me by my boss who employs owner Meg's husband as a horse trainer and who has used clinic services before with satisfaction. We had a colicky horse who wasn't eating and also appeared dehydrated. My wife called in the morning before the clinic opened and spoke with Dr. Ray after leaving a returned message.

The doctor explained the seriousness of the situation but explained that nobody could get to us quickly enough and recommended we bring the horse to the clinic. So we arranged a trailer, took time off work and painstakingly got our sick horse loaded on the trailer. We called the clinic as we were pulling up, only to be turned away as there were "no doctors available." Nobody from the clinic followed up.

Thus our first experience with Ridgefield Equine Clinic will be our last. Their lack of communication, unprofessional operations and callous unwillingness to take responsibility for mistakes is a bridge too far.

My mare was misdiagnosed as being pregnant 8 months into the pregnancy with a palpation and ultrasound. Then when I had to call the vet out for a possible colic check or she was giving birth the same vet came out and did a palpation again and said "well she's not pregnant" no apologies no discounts no nothing! I was left feeling as though the vet didn't want to own up to her mistake.

She could have at least given me an explanation for why my mare had been "pregnant" according to her then magically the foal wasn't there?!? If I had gotten a simple "I'm sorry she's not pregnant" I would have felt 100x's better about the situation.
