Services
For over three decades, it has been our goal to provide your pet with the finest veterinary care possible and to afford our clients prompt, courteous service. Prosser Animal Hospital is a full service veterinary hospital and we look forward to helping you enjoy the happiness that a healthy pet can provide.
Dr. Mary Thomas graduated from the Washington State University College of Veterinary Medicine with honors in 1984. Growing up in Prosser she took her own pets to the Prosser Animal Hospital and began her career working there for Dr. Douglas Jackson. Originally this was a mixed practice which included veterinary care for horses and cattle.
There are many types of blood tests that can be used to assess your pet's health. Some of the most common blood tests we perform are serum biochemistry and complete blood count. The serum biochemistry evaluates the liver enzymes, proteins, bilirubin, pancreatic enzymes, glucose, calcium, phosphorus, muscle enzymes, cholesterol, electrolytes and kidney values. The complete blood count (CBC) evaluates three types of cellular elements found in the blood; red blood cells, white blood cells and platelets.

Always courteous and friendly, usually on top of all things regarding my critters. Docs are top notch and offer lots of useful information and options if available. During the Gov's lockdown, they practiced all the proper sanitary precautions and stayed on the job even as other vets shut down, thus adding to PAH's burden. I would not hesitate to recommend PAH for your personal pets.

My six month old puppy was shot today and instead of looking at her you guys told me to go to urgent care. You guys wouldn't even look at her. It was a through and through and all she needed was some stitches. I am a local here in prosser and I like to stay local but if all I am gonna be told is to go to urgent care then I might as well start taking my animals somewhere elses.

I love the Dr's at Prosser animal hospital, However the office manager Amanda Garza is VERY unprofessional. I had a bill sent to collections, I called and asked which agency it was sent to. She declined to tell me any information, let alone speak with me about it. The receptionist stated " she did not want to give out that information" Yet offered to take my money and report it to the collection agency.
I have already had something set up with the agency and just needed the name to call them and pay it off. Why would I one, give them money to pay it off and "hope" they would call the agency to make them aware of it if the manager would give me the name of the actual company.

We just picked our dog up from getting fixed, and her backside is covered with feces. They couldn’t find her micro chip so just gave her a new one, and now she has two! No instructions on the medications and the sheet of paper for “what to expect” seems very generic and says nothing about medications. We had to call to find out why we were not given any antibiotics and when was the last time she had her pain meds and when she would need more.
We had to call yesterday to find out how much time she should have with no food/water before surgery. There was no Confirmation phone call for the appointment ahead of time. Thank goodness we’ve done this before. If it was our first pet going through surgery we would have been traumatized by the experience. They were overwhelmed answering phones, but if they would inform people of these basic things they probably wouldn’t get as many phone calls with questions

Doctors and staff are absolutely amazing! My mom’s little dog got run over and no other vet was available to treat her. The staff told me to get her to the office and Dr. Mary saw her and treated her within minutes of arriving. The competence and professionalism of the clinic is absolutely without parallel.
