Your pet needs yearly health checks and preventative medicine to keep illness at arm's length. Therefore, we recommend pet vaccinations as part of their wellness program. With a stronger immune system, your pet is better equipped to resist illness and live a longer life. Our veterinarians at Monongahela Animal Hospital can guide you in choosing the best vaccine schedule and keeping your pet protected for as long as possible. Here in Monongahela, our doctors see many cases of Lyme disease, which spreads through the bite of black-legged ticks.

Despite being very busy, they were able to see my sick cat immediately and saved his life. I can't say enough good things about the kindness of Dr. Lisa and her staff. They call to check up on your animals as well after a sick appointment to see how they are doing and if they can do anything. Dr. Lisa has been a blessing to us and our animals for many years and we will continue to use them for years to come.

They have cared for all of my animals past and present. That includes 5 cats and 3 dogs over the past 20 yrs. I will not take my fur babies anywhere else. Dr. Lisa and staff are caring, compassionate, and treat your animals as if they were their own. Prices are reasonable, and no treatment is recommended unless Dr Lisa feels it will improve your animals life. I can not say enough great things about them all.

We started here just because it is local, but have been so happy with them. After we had to rush our cat to an emergency vet this weekend due to a urinary blockage (which he passed on his own, yay!) Mon Hospital followed up with us on Monday without us even calling them (the ER vet must have done so), gave us a ton of samples of food (at no charge) so we could try before having to buy. and agreed that running a bunch of expensive tests wouldn't be needed as we would do the same game plan of urinary support food no matter what the tests showed. I like how they don't try to push extra costs on us, yet give very sensible and compassionate care and give us lots of options that they explain very clearly.

This business should not have the word "Hospital" in their title. They are terrible at serving the pet community of this area. When my cat was in need of attention, he was a former patient of theirs but under a different owner who was 98 years old and put into a care home when I assumed as the cat's new owner. The receptionist told me they weren't taking new patients since the cat has a different owner.
I'm a resident of Monongahela and they completely disregarded my cat's health as a former patient of theirs. They gave me a number to see a vet in Morgantown, HONESTLY! Their business is not a "Hospital"!

Not sure what's going on but had to wait almost 3 months for an appointment for annual check up. A week later, one of my dogs had an allergy issue and chewed the fur off of the base of her tail. Called to try to get her in and was told it would be 10 days before they could get her in. Then the following week they put a post on Facebook that they had no vets and limited techs so be patient. I suspect they are trying to expand their patient base without getting more staff. Take care of your existing patients!
