I just want to say the staff here is super friendly and amazing. They have cared for my beagle buddy for 15 years no issues. The boarding is great too and my buddy was well taken care of. While it was sad to say goodbye to my fur baby, the staff was super respectful and reassuring. I appreciate them explaining the process to me and allowing time to say goodbye.

This place is garbage! They over charge for EVERYTHING. My dogs tail got stuck in the door and has a gash in it. I brought him in, just for them to wrap it in gauze, the same way I had been doing and they charged me $300! And I had to take him in a week later for them to see the healing process and wrap it again. ANOTHER $300! They are rude and disrespectful.
We finally switched to a different vet and I realized just how much they are robbing people. For the same thing the new vet only charged $70! Our dog has since passed and guilderland has continued to send vaccine updates for him, knowing he's passed away. I called to ask them to stop and they said they'd stop if I paid the money I owe them. They don't deserve a single penny from anyone. The whole place should be shut down.

Recently, our beloved Emma passed away in the comfort of her own home, surrounded by her friends and family. Today, I received a condolence card from GAH, not the usual generic card, but instead, personal notes from each of the Staff who cared for her over the years as an outpatient, and as a "vacationer". It's a heart warming reminder that GAH is part of our family and we are part of theirs.

My dog was hit by a car and I ran down there because it was the closest place. They said they had no doctor on a Tuesday around 11am and turned me away. Can't believe people who are committed to the health of animals would be so callous telling me to drive to Latham when I don't know if I even have time. Turned out she had a bruise on her lung so there were internal injuries. I wouldn't give them a penny.

Where do I start? Several issues at hand. ANOTHER VET is leaving and they wanted me to pay AGAIN- 3rd time - to have my 12 year old Chihuahua worked up by a 3rd doctor for dental extractions! UNBELIEVABLE! It took so long after the 1st appointment that I had to repay for services. He's very old and has heart disease. Paying hundreds of dollars each time and waiting for call backs each month?
And each time I go and give them my phone number they always call my boyfriend's number. I'm literally sitting (each time I've brought him there )in the parking lot and they don't call me. I worked in healthcare for the last 15 years and this is unacceptable service! I will not spend another dime at this facility. Lastly, 2 years ago, they misdiagnosed our 15 year old Maltese who fell down some stairs. We brought him in for scans and were told he's fine. He died next to me the following evening! Shame on this "business" because that's all it is there.

We have been going to Guilderland Animal Hospital for over 35 years. We've always been very happy with their service and care. However, they have been getting very expensive. They charge $90 for a Lyme vaccine. Other vets I have checked in the area charge $40-$45. On the internet it is stated that the Lyme vaccinate is generally $40. My dog's yearly exam visit consisted of three shots, six months of heartworm medicine and an office visit - charged $250+. GAH would not do all the shots required at once for my dog.
They indicated it was too many shots and had me come back. My dog needed a canine flu shot to be able to board him at a doggie daycare. The next visit consisted of a rabies shot and part 1 of the flu shot - charged $160+. Came back three weeks later for part 2 of the flu shot and charged another $80. Really.$240 for two shots? Very expensive and we have to look for another vet that does not have the exorbitant prices as GAH has. We would like to continue with them but cannot afford their prices anymore.

Great if all you want to do is pay the $300 to $500 dollars for well check ups and maintenence. If your pet has an emergency you may just be told that they can't fit you in (too many important well visits) and to go pay for the emergency vet. Once you go to the emergency vet and get your routine stuff done there at the same time you may call Guilderland back the following year to schedule shots and a visit. At this time you may just be told that you have been removed from the system, are a new patient and that the practice is no longer accepting new patients.

Very unhappy to find out they seem to over charge on just about everything. The insanity I was told about the cost of fixing a 35 pound male. and forbid he exceed that 35 pounds. Not to mention service dog in training. and one of the employees has the nerve to say he needs to be trained better. My dog just hit a year old the other day. He is trained to listen to my husband and I, your a stranger, yes it's gonna take a moment for him to warm up. Got cut off on the phone. Not at all thrilled with the services. Will be finding a new vet.

Dr. Jennifer Haber provides great information regarding my cat, Dusty’s diagnosis. After x-rays, it was determined that Dusty has asthma. In addition, Dr. Haber showed me a video of a cat experiencing asthmatic symptoms, which helped us determine that it was asthma. I was super impressed with the spraying solution they used on a towel and blanket to reduce Dusty’s anxiety. Overall, I would give Guilderland Animal Hospital and especially Dr. Haber an A+ for their means of communicating with me regarding the medical and health of Dusty as well as the prices ahead of time for me to make decisions and have an understanding of their procedures. Thank you Guilderland Animal Hospital for rescuing Dusty from another poor facility up the road that is just for cats.

We have been bringing our dogs here for years! The staff is always kind, knowledgeable, and caring. We had 2 dogs years ago (16+ years ago)... 1 saddly passed due to kidney failure the other passed at age 16 of lymphoma. The staff did everything they could to make both our pups comfortable in their final days; their compassion was greatly appreciated during that time.... Most recently our 2 newer dogs were sprayed by a skunk... They took them in right away the next day they were open and now we have happy fresh smelling dogs! Thank you to the staff for dealing with our stinky pups! You're all lifesavers! Thank You!

I can't say enough about Dr. Casler and his staff. I brought my cat in for a second opinion on dental work and due to some extreme circumstances, they took her right back and performed surgery that day. The vet techs were amazing and were so kind to me when I was very emotional given the events of the appointment. I highly recommend them!!!
