I use Groton City Animal Hospital services for my horse. Staff is professional and courteous. They show up on time or let me know ahead of time if there will be a delay. They know how I approach my horse's care and make recommendations based on his specific needs. Very reasonable prices for the service. Highly recommend!

I had to find a new vet when I got my puppy, our old vet was just too far away after the move. We figured we'd try Groton city vet out and if we didn't like them we'd keep looking. Well we never kept looking. Groton city vet has been amazing! Taking great care of my dog, very professional and personable. It's been a while since I had a vet that didn't upcharge everything and make it a struggle to care for my dog. I love this place.

I absolutely LOVE Groton City Animal Hospital! When another vet in the area did a very poor job on my dogs surgery, Groton City literally saved my dog! We have been coming to Groton City for 4 years and we always leave happy. They are always very timely and can get us in quickly, and they are extremely affordable! I never feel like I got ripped off.
I normally am surprised with how low my bill is compared to my last vet. They take such good care of my chocolate lab and my dog LOVES it here too! He's always doing a happy dance when we pull in. I HIGHLY recommend Groton City Animal Hospital to everyone!

Their large animal vets are amazing. They always take great care of my horse when I have them out! The only complaint I do have is trying to get a hold of them. You can't call the vets directly (which I understand) so you have to call the office itself. When you do that, you have to leave a message with secretary with your reason for calling and wait by your phone for the rest of the day to hear from the vet when they get back from their rounds.
If you miss the call, you basically have to do the process over again until you catch each other. As this has happened many times, the secretary has become rude at times because you've called the office too much at this point. At least that's how it's felt every time. They do wonderful things but the communication process has become very frustrating.

A great, warm place to take your animals. All 3 Vets and all the techs are amazing. They take amazing care of my animals, and I. When we had to put our Cat SunSun down not only did Dr. Braxtendell sit with us. She also hugged me, to try and calm me down!. They are always there in an emergency and they all know how to keep this fur mama calm, and are more then knowledgeable. Definently recommend them to anyone and everyone.

Groton City Animal Hospital has provided vet care for my horses, sheep, and goats since 2013. If their office was closer to me I'd use them for my dog and cats as well. Dr. Baxendell, Dr. Dart, and their vet tech partners are knowledgeable, efficient, and have excellent people skills. They can translate complicated medical conditions into language the average person can understand (and options we can afford), and do so sympathetically.
I've always been able to reach them quickly in an emergency. I used to use Cornell's ambulatory service, which is certainly cheaper than any of the local veterinary practices, but I never knew which vet I was going to get, and they rotate out every two years anyway. Having a consistent relationship with one vet who knows my animals and their medical histories and genuinely cares about them as individuals, supported by a competent vet tech, has unquestionably been worth the price.
A vet who continues to check in about an animal's stubborn chronic health problem and brainstorm alternative treatments, instead of just scribbling a prescription and assuming that "no news is good news." Last Christmas (2016), my 35-year-old horse colicked while I was visiting an ailing grandparent overseas. It was a nightmare not to be there with him at the end, but I can't put into words what a relief it was to know that Dr. Baxendell was with him. I had complete trust in her and her judgment. And even over Skype her bedside manner was flawless. Good people. Good vets.

My pets have been patients here for about 15 years. They've been with us through a lot (we've had many pets over the years). They have never disappointed. The vets, techs, and office staff always provide excellent care and service. They're understanding, flexible, and compassionate. As an added bonus, they keep their fees reasonable, which I appreciate immensely.
