Dr. Suzanne Gambella is the owner and operator of the Cat Hospital of Vero Beach. She is a 1997 University of Florida, College of Veterinary Medicine graduate and former owner of Nine Lives Cat Hospital in Sunrise, Florida. She moved to Vero Beach and opened the Cat Hospital of Vero Beach in 2008. Dr. Gambella has spent the majority of her career practicing exclusively on cats and is very sensitive to their unique health requirments. She has two teenage children and a loving husband, Micheal, who is also our practice manager.
Cats must have had an examination with one of our doctors prior to boarding. Cats are required to have an examination annually. If your cat is due for their annual exam during their boarding stay it will be completed at that time. Cats over the age of 15 are required to have an examiniation bi-annually.
The following loving felines are available for adoption. The Cat Hospital of Vero Beach often has in house pets for adoption that need loving homes. Raining Cats Rescue, a wonderful non profit organization, also has many cats that are for adoption. Many of the cats that we are featuring are from Raining Cats Rescue.

Noodle and Willow love all the ladies here! Everyone is so kind and friendly. They really made us feel welcomed. Dr. Gambella always takes her time with our babies and answers all our questions. Our cats love watching the birds while they wait in the exam room. It's really nice having that to distract them. They had surgery and recovery went exceedingly well. So happy with our overall experience and grateful for Dr. Gambella and all her staff!

I am new to the area - I took my cat to the Cat Hospital of Vero Beach because we've had better luck with specialized cat care. My cat was senior cat who was recently diagnosed with cancer and had other long term health issues. My visit to the vet didn't give us good news, but the doctor was honest and compassionate in laying out the opitions. The doctor called and checked up on him, which I apprecitated.
When my cat passed away, I recieved a really thoughful card. They were passionate and professional every step of the way - that's something I apperciated in a difficult time.

My cats and I LOVE the cat hospital. Dr Gambella and her cat-loving staff are always there for you. We are a multi-cat household and appreciate her specialized knowledge and expertise for keeping our kittles healthy and happy. I can always count on her for preventive care and emergencies - she has never turned away any of my cats, even with their last minute-ailments and emergencies.
She is the most skilled and competent cat vet in Vero Beach and is always up-to-the -minute on the latest in feline medicine. And, oh yes, she really, really LOVES cats and selects staff that do, too.

Dr. G and all of her staff are super friendly and make me feel at home. They are also very compassionate and understand that my cats are my family, not just animals. I have been going to the Cat Hospital for five years and take all four of my cats there for treatments. I will continue to do so as I cannot think of anyplace else I would want to handle my cats.
