Colonial Park Veterinary Hospital was began in 1976 in a trailer adjacent to the building we currently occupy. In a short time, we grew to the clinic that everyone now knows and calls home. We have developed many new friends and patients along the way.

They saved my little doggie's life from heart failure. For some reason our little dachshund was born with a prolapsed heart valve and 2 other heart problems that reared it's horrible ugly head after 10 yrs of too much love and too many hugs. He's ok for now, Doctor gave him a year or two. He'll be taking some of the same heart meds as I do. They have a very up to date facility, Kirby spent 24 hrs in the 100 % Oxygen room, hope that gives sense of what they can do. Awesome and very intelligent people that understand how attached we become to our little fuzzy friends. There is more parking at the rear of the building.

My family has trusted CPVH for all of our dogs' medical needs my entire life. The new building is 1st class, front desk staff are very friendly, and the vet techs are kind and helpful. Drs. Bomer, Sultemeier and Wurster are professional, compassionate, skilled, and excellent communicators. I highly recommend Colonial Park Veterinary Hospital for your pets' medical care.

Brought my sick kitten in, and the female doctor 'did' some tests and decided he was okay and sent us home with zero meds/special food, anything. I live in Colorado. I brought my kitten home the next day, and took him to the animal hospital in my town and the doctor immediately told me that he was LITERALLY INTERNALLY DYING, they couldn't even get an IV in.
My doctor lived in Texas and said he sees this all the time out there. The doctor at Colonial Park Veterinary Hospital sent my baby home to die. Please do yourself a favor and drive an hour to another animal hospital. Your animals life means everything to you, but little to nothing to these doctors.

Colonial has and continues to be an amazing facility. I love the amount of care and love they put into my pets. I will always continue to recommend them. They go above and beyond, constantly. Updated review: despite having cheaper options, I will always come to Colonial. They are kind and loving, and work so hard to make sure my pets are taken care of. I love them so much

I have been waiting MONTHS to write this review until we were finally free and clear from this place. If you are needing to be established with a vet in town HIGHLY RECOMMEND Simmons & Harlan. Avoid Colonial Park at all costs if you can. We were sent to Colonial Park for Dr. Tangner because he uses their facility every Thursday for surgeries. This saved us a trip to OKC and back.
The cost was SLIGHTLY cheaper, but in all honesty I would have gladly paid the difference to have avoided this vet in the first place. This facility is walk in only and first come first serve. EVEN IF YOU ARE SCHEDULED FOR A SURGERY. Prepare to wait in your car for about two hours just to drop off your pet. When you pick up your pet make sure that you check that their IV has been removed or you will have to haul your pet back into their facility freshly post-op and they will have to remove it.
This has not only happened once, but TWICE within a two month time span. The cost of this vet is absolutely outrageous. Need a "wound culture"? That'll cost you $200. It's sad that once a vet goes VCA all they seem to care about is the financial aspect and not about the community they are serving.

I took my Dottie there 8 times. NO help.then did surgery noise, soft palette. Dr Tangier made the wrong decision to do the soft palate.because I was told it wasn't to long.but he did it anyway.need the money.for the remodel. I asked them if they would please keep her over night. NO.they don't have overnight stay.so took her home so scared.so the morning she throw up.so I called them told them she not doing well.so they said to bring her back.got there.called them lm here.45 minutes called back in there.oh come in.then 45 minutes later I got to a room.then 30 minutes late Dr Holly Hoffman came in.did x-rays.told me she Aspirated.told I could take her to Oklahoma or to Dallas.but she need oxygen.so they could keep her and give he iv and oxygen.never told me what kind of chance she had.so they kept her in the oxygen.by her self NO one watching her.so she died.received a bill for 822.43.so for the surgery, office visits and for her to die alone.it was over $4,000.00. I could tell you more stuff but I'm not sure if there is enough room.my heart is broken.she was only 4 1/2 months old.

Never received a diagnosis, only tune-ups to run up the bill. I had to take my dog elsewhere to get to the bottom of his sickness. Great they to well for existing patients, not looking for new ones. Expensive and poor quality vet and lacks the knowledge to diagnosis any animal. Money, money money and No results. If you love your fur baby do not go here.

They took such good care of our 23 year old kitty Boomer, when the time came where we had to make the decision to take her out of her misery and suffering the Doctor and the Vet Tech made sure she was comfortable and didn't feel any additional pain or anxiety, the Doctor gave her a seditive 10 minutes before giving her the final medication, he explained the seditive is so she doesn't feel the pain of the shot given that will stop her heart and put her to sleep. Boomer had always been a inside only cat that had only been to a Veternarian once in the 23 years we had her and that was to get her fixed and vaccinated when she was 6 months old. Watching our always healthy Boomer go from acting like she was the Boss of the house for the last 23 years to not eating (which was her favorite past time) and hardly moving from her spot on the couch in just a few short weeks was awful, you could see in her eyes that last week she was home that she was so tired of feeling so bad, I talked to her and cried all the way to Colonial not knowing what to expect, the Vet was very compassionate and came in and explained the complete process to us then gave us 10 minutes to say our goodbye's, .
He was very gentle with her during the whole process, I was so grateful he gave her a seditive before the final shot as that was the first time in week's she looked like her normal self, happy, spoiled and at peace and is the last imagine of her I have. The whole office staff showed such compassion to us and Boomer and treated her with the dignity she deserved.
I would recommend them to anyone who has to face this decision. Because Boomer was a part of our family for 23 year's we didn't think twice, we wanted her cremated we would always have a piece of her with us, not only was the cost reasonable they put her ashes in a wooden box urn with her name inscribed on it along with a beautiful poem, they also took her paw prints on a clay stone and had her name inscribed in it, painted and fired. I couldn't thank the staff at Colonial more, they are the best!
