Some vets go into their profession for the right reasons. This is NOT one of those vets! I went in because I could not make it into my normal vet at Bartow Animal hospital because it is 45 min away from my home. BIG mistake! She was so far off and gave very little thought when I told her that it was not a stomach bug but more of a choking. My dog was sick for two days choking and throwing up.
She barely examined her. I never even saw her touch my dog. She just gave her a shot, soft food and some stomach pills. I told her that she was choking and that was what was causing her to throw up and she seemed disinterested in what I was telling her. She charged us $300 and gave us a list of other tests that we could do if we wanted to come back and pay her another $650.
We left and my golden proceeded to choke and throw up all night. We took her up first thing in the am to our regular vet who is amazing and he said she had a severe problem with her esophagus. I called for her to refund my bill partially and she said she was sorry but could not do that and gave me some bs about declining another test that was to test her thyroid. Not even close! If you love your pets, DO NOT bring them to this vet!
