Services
Thank you for visiting Kona Veterinary Service. We hope to provide information, answer questions, and over all provide you with a bit of our office at your fingertips 24 hours a day. If there is something you would like to see here, don't hesitate to let us know! At Kona Veterinary Service, we believe each patient and their owner deserve personalized pet care.
We strive to keep our focus on the health and wellbeing of your pets, as well as the needs of their families. Because of this, we do not bill and are unable to set up payment plans. Life has unexpected occurrences everyday, some of which can be illness in a beloved pet. When that happens, we sometimes need help with the cost of that illness, injury, or even just a simple routine visit that we hadn't planned on.
As with any new and exciting addition to your life, pets require some extra attention and love in their first few months with you. Here at Kona Veterinary Service, we hope to be able to provide you with a brief, but helpful, starting guide to your newest family member. If you have any questions, feel free to contact us at 325-6637.
If you are planning to move your pets to Hawaii it is important to plan ahead. The islands of Hawaii are currently rabies-free. To prevent introduction of the virus to the islands there are strict requirements for incoming animals. If you and your veterinarian review the regulations and all the requirements are fulfilled prior to your pets' arrival it is possible to avoid quarantine and obtain a direct release of your pet at the airport.

Called to try and set up an appointment for a check up for my cat. They said they weren't accepting new patients. When I asked the receptionist if she knew of another vet in the area she said "you can look it up for yourself". Nice service. Can't imagine how poorly they would have treated my cat if that's how they handle people.

Wonderful staff, both the doctors and the assistants. They took very good care of our fat cat, Charlie.

My last 2 experiences were not good, I do not feel like they cared about the well being of my dog nor do any of the current staff have much experience or knowledge about dogs. I will sadly be changing vets!

This place is a great place to take your pet to for anything. I take my guinea pigs in to get their nails trimmed every 3 weeks and they are very reasonable with their prices. Friendly staff and knowledgeable vets. Highly recommend this place for all of your pets needs.

They have been taking care of my pets for 6+ years. They are very convenient, friendly, answer my questions and I trust them.

The best vet service on the West side. We wouldn't trust our Frenchies to anyone else. Super knowledgeable and friendly.

I enjoy bringing my pets here. The vet is super Kool and nice. Call to make your appt. Let them know what you're looking to get done and what is needed. When you get there you park and wait in the car. Call the posted number to check in. If you have a cat you have to have a pet carrier. After the appt you pay at the window. If you need heartguard or flea medicine, make sure you ask the vet.

I have an anxious dog and we were able to get anxiety meds for him. Short term and long term types. The heart guard and the long term anxiety med was available at my local pharmacy.
