Dropped in to buy a bag of cat food. They asked for, and I showed them my cat's prescription, from my vet. At that point, even though I had a valid prescription, the vet said they would have to examine my cat before they would sell me the cat food. Needless to say, I wasn't going home, putting my cat in a carrier, bringing it in, and pay them a fee when my vet had seen my cat 2 months ago, just to buy a bag of food.

I called my vet, and she said that vets have a choice to fill another vet's prescription or not. So at HRAH, they choose not to help "drop-ins" for something as simple as a bag of cat food. Hope your experience is better! Just read your response. To clarify, it is not your staff at the front desk that was the problem. It was someone in the back, who she consulted, who refused to fill the prescription. Your staff at the desk was courteous, professional, and apologetic in our interaction. I would give HER 5 stars.

We are not regulars at HRAH, but we couldn't have been treated with more kindness or comparison. We evacuated Ida and boarded our cat with them. They provided us with peace of mind knowing she was being well cared for and safe, we even got to visit with her at our convenience. When power was restored to our home we were ready to go home and HRAH made special arrangements for us to pick up our cat outside of regular business hours. Thank you HRAH, thank you!

Amazing staff and extremely helpful veterinarians that are very polite and so their best to help you as soon as they possibly can.

The clinic and veterinarians are nice, but the prices are extremely high. In my experience you can expect to pay nearly double what other vets charge. This includes prescriptions. I don't think the additional cost is linked to improved animal care, but in their quite impressive facility and waiting room. If that's valuable to you, you'll be very satisfied. The veterinarian skill and care appears equivalent to other vets in the area.

Everyone, from the vet techs to the veterinarians, is empathetic, intelligent, and caring. This team has saved my cat's life. They tirelessly take care of my babies when I bring them in, and they have amazing attitudes.

Highland Road Animal Hospital cared for Skippy, our Chihuahua for the last 6 years of his life. They provided great vet service especially as old-age began to impact his health. Boarding was easy and they're great about any special food requests. Finally, they were compassionate when it was time for Skippy to pass away.

Amazing veterinary hospital with incredible fear-free practices! High quality medicine and empathetic, professional staff members. Blessed to have been able to be a client there while I lived in BR with my cat Koozie! Thank you for everything you do for your patients, you compassion and care is impeccable!

This place was HANDS DOWN. The best vet place I've ever been to. Not only were they able to give me a same day appointment, the entire staff was amazing and so accommodating. My 3 year old dog usually HATES going to the vet. 2-3 people have to hold him down and muzzle him because he's so anxious. But they really knew what they were doing! 1 tech was able to muzzle him quickly and no one even held him down. Dr. O'Neal took the time to make sure my dog was not afraid and comfortable.

She took the time to explain his diagnosis and even included all medications in the visit. Best of all, my visit was less than $150! SHOCKED. 10/10 would recommend this place. Absolutely loved it! Wouldn't go anywhere else again.

Great people and great care. This is our regular vet but one time I sent my dog for play care and for a checkup during the day. The vet himself called me after her checkup and shots to give me a run down of everything that happened and how she's doing really well. You can really tell they care about their patients, both human and not. I also find them to be the most reasonably prices. No strange fees or expensive procedures. They are very upfront about the cost of everything.
