A great choice for a Vet if you're in the area. They have always take care of our Pup, Brisket. Brisket always finds a way to get herself hurt and no matter the issue, her vet has her leaving happy. Staff is always friendly and informative. The doctor is always happy to come out and explain things in detail and make sure that you're at ease as well.

I took my cat Marley here today for an overall wellness checkup and for an ingrown dewclaw. My experience was perfect from start to finish! The staff was so friendly and welcoming. They were incredibly sweet and gentle with Marley, petting and talking to him the whole time, especially when clipping out the ingrown claw (he barely flinched), which is the part I was dreading! I am so happy to have found such an amazing vet and highly recommend them!

Our dog was in pain and we couldn't visibly see what the cause could be. We called Park Hills animal hospital and they graciously saw him within a few hours. Dr. Collette quickly diagnosed that he slipped a disc and gave us medication and instructions for the injury. Although the dog had bitten the tech, they continued to treat his condition. We are beyond pleased with the caring services we receive there.

So incredibly happy to have found Park Hills Animal Hospital. The last vet I took my cat (flo) to insisted she be sedated every time just to get her temperature. They would tease that she is definitely a calico with a bad temperament. When she is sweet just not fond of the vet. Dr. Collett and the rest of the staff are absolutely so loving to her.
When she starts to hiss or become afraid they speak sweetly, calmly, give her pets and treats. Never once have they suggested she needs sedation. Today I brought my new Saint Bernard puppy for his first appointment. With covid-19 I am unable to go in (understandably) but as soon as Mudd was in Dr. Collett's arms he was getting lots of pets and love. I feel at ease knowing both of my beloved animals are in the best hands.

Since we live in downtown, my first instinct was to call a vet that's located in downtown, but their next appointment was not until a week later. I am not in the veterinary business, but I wonder, what happens if my dog has an emergency and needs to be seen by his PCP? I do not want a PCP that is impossible to schedule, so I chalked that Vet off even though he was the closest.
Anyway, I called Park Hills Animal Hospital and they were able to fit me in in the same morning.
My appointment was with Dr. Buckley. We arrived at PHAH at 11:20 (10 mins before our appointment), we were promptly checked-in by the reception staff and were seated in the room right at 11:30. We were not seen until 12:15 because there was an emergency that came in. Although we had to wait a little bit to be seen, I totally understand the urgency of an emergency and was pleased to see that Dr. Buckley and staff cared about their animals and treat emergency patients right away.
Dr. Buckley did a very throughout exam and was very patient when it comes to listening to my dog's history and providing a diagnosis.
She was also very clear in telling me her "game plan". Dr. Buckley was very attentive and I can tell that she cares about animals a lot and love all pets. I would totally recommend her to any of my fellow pet parents.

Dr. Buckley, Dr. Collett and the whole staff genuinely care about our dogs as if they're their own. We have a 14-year-old dachshund mix who's had a couple surgeries there, and is perky as ever. Also, we adopted a 3-year-old Ridgeback last year who's very nervous, and had a lot of stomach trouble for a few months. Dr. Collett recommended a special diet for her and she's been great with eating ever since then. I can't recommend Park Hills strongly enough-- wonderful place!

As someone still fairly new to Kentucky, but entirely new to pet ownership, I found myself in need of a vet soon after acquiring my new puppy. I brought him home at 8 weeks, so just 2 weeks later, he was due for his next series of vaccinations. After a bit of research, I learned that I live less than a mile from Park Hills Animal Hospital. After reading a number of enthusiastic reviews on Yelp & elsewhere, I was confident enough to make an appointment on their web site & received an e-mail confirmation letting me know what I'd need in advance of my appointment.
There were some forms to fill out, a stool sample, etc. This was followed up by a phone call & another e-mail reminder as our appointment neared. There's a good amount of parking at the hospital, though turning off of Dixie Highway can be tricky, & plenty of seats in the waiting room. Staff is friendly & welcoming. My puppy Darby O'Gill & I were shown into the examining room, where he was weighed by an attendant & then carefully examined by Dr. Buckley.
Everyone there got a kick out of how cute my little guy is, & if you don't think he's adorable, your heart is made of stone, but more important to me, they seemed to genuinely care. They were careful & kind to him & understood my concerns as a new pet owner. After his exam, I also took a look at their kennel, where Darby will likely have to spend a few nights when I'm away in a few months.
Turns out I was also able to get my puppy licensed & get him some prescriptions while there as well. Can't recommend this place enough for you & your pet!

My wife and I are senior citizens and have extensive experience with vets, as we've owned many pets. Dr. Collett and his staff are nothing short of incredible! Our 15 year-old cat fell ill and, even though heavily booked, the doctor worked her into his schedule the same morning we phoned. The level of professionalism and genuine concern displayed during every phase of our appointment was absolutely mind-boggling.
Our "daughter" received a thorough examination and diagnostic evaluation, proper treatment, and understandable explanations were provided. We never felt rushed and always felt that we were in great hands. Scooter has recovered and is thriving again.

I am so happy to have found Park Hills Animal Hospital! I am new to Northern KY and it is so hard to find a vet, especially when you have a silly pup with mild fear aggression. My dog Alma came down with a fever on Friday. I called the Animal Hospital at around 5:20 -- 40 minutes before they close for the night -- and was told if I could get there quickly they'd be able to see Alma right away.
The girl at the front desk was very friendly. I was shown into an exam room almost immediately.
Dr. Collett has very calm energy, which is perfect for my pup, who tends to get growly with strangers. I was in and out within a half hour. I expected the bill to be pretty hefty, considering Alma had bloodwork done, was hydrated intravenously, and given a shot for nausea, but when I saw my total I was surprised.
Very fair. Someone called me first thing the next morning to check in on Alma, who was thankfully doing much better. I came back in four days later to get a prescription for a yeast infection in one of Alma's ears and Dr. Collett examined her again and cleaned her ears without charging me for a second office visit.
Seriously. I will sleep better knowing that this place is down the street.
