Services
CARE-Free was created by the founder of California Animal Rehabilitation, Dr. Jessica Waldman, to enable pets in need of physical rehabilitation to receive much needed medical care. These pets, often homeless, might not otherwise have a chance to live a happy, healthy, pain-free life. CARE-FREE pets are treated at California Animal Rehabilitation.
CARE'S manual therapy treatments are conducted and supervised by licensed Doctors of Physical Therapy certified to practice on canines. Our physical therapists apply to pets techniques used for people, with unbelievable success.
Healing technologies are used to mitigate pain, improve comfort, and stimulate circulation. CARE's doctors will select the best therapies for your pet's condition. Magnetic therapy for arthritis and bone pain reduction. This patented, exclusive technology has been proven to relieve bone pain, osteoporosis, and arthritis in people around the world.
Therapeutic exercises are used for active range of motion, flexibility, coordination, muscular balance, and strengthening; the focus is on stabilizing exercises and core strength. These exercises serve both to aid your pet in recovery from injury and to reduce the risk of future injuries.

The valuable information Dr Kent shares is better than what ACCESS told me to do. Its pricey but my bed ridden dog is living better thanks to their knowledge.

The staff here are very dedicated to your pets' well-being. The parking is a little tricky, so plan to be there a few minutes early.

Let's just say, covid made this place look shady. At first sight, did not think this place was legit. Since I cannot go in, do not know if my dog got all that was on receipt, but my dog looked happy with the person coming out to put my dog back in my car, so I trust they treated her well. However, the fact that they ran my card for another client, an amount over $1,400, just proved my first instincs that admin in that office was not good. Not really wanting to go back, lost trust on the admin there. They don't really check what they are doing with paperwork.

Wanted to love this place, but sadly all they care about is your money. You can't even talk to the doctors on the phone. If you want to talk to the doctors, you have to make and appoint for it which will last 30 mins and cost you $100 JUST to talk to them. Also, you are not allowed in the room during your pet's visit, so you can't see if they are actually doing what they are supposed to be doing.

Every time I have taken my dog here, they just try to add on a bunch of things that will cost you so much money and results do not seem to add up. Also, just the evaluation is $275.

I had a great experience with initial eval. They're so caring and gentle with the animals. I was able to accompany him for the initial appt and the doctor and PT were very knowledgeable, thorough, explained everything, and they were gentle with him. I noticed all the other dogs there for appointments were calm, so I think it's safe to assume they don't have stressful experiences here.

My sweet dog has been going here for therapy for about 5 months. She is in great shape and walking. CARE is the best.

Called to see if this place had any availability for physical therapy after looking up and calling numerous places. The others couldn't see my puppy for months. A few of those places recommended this place. The woman on the phone was absolutely rude and shortly after said there was no availability until the end of next month. When I asked if she had any recommendations since I was running out of places to call she scoffed and responded "do your own research" and hung up on me. Needless to say glad I'm not doing business with these people if this is the type of customer service you get right off the bat. All for asking about the place you'd be sending your animal to and asking where they would recommend since they don't have the space for you

I took my boxer to CARE several months ago (its taken me this long to write this review). 2 hours $500.00 later! my dog was having trouble walking and I knew it wouldn't get better however, I waited for 2 months to get an appt. Mostly it was talking and then acupuncture and then the next day my dog couldn't walk. To this day she cannot walk and mostly is carried.

I cannot begin to say how sick and heartbroken I am. I did call the following day to let the Dr. know, and she did call me the next day to see how my dog was doing. Long story short. I would NEVER recommend CARE to anyone ever! I was totally underwhelmed and it is a rip off and my dog that I love more than anything can't walk!

A great place if your pet needs rehab. Our doc is the BEST and our pup gets great relief from accupuncture! Thank you CARE.

My poor little guy, Henry, has been limping on his right front leg for about 6 weeks now. We are unsure if an injury occurred or if the limp is a result of a congenital problem. We were finally able to see a veterinarian boarded in rehabilitation and conditioning today and I am so, SO pleased with his treatment plan. We saw Dr. Wagner at CARE (California Animal Rehabilitation) in Los Angeles, CA and I can’t say enough about their team πŸ’š
Henry, unfortunately, has a few problems to address, but, thanks to CARE, we have a thorough treatment plan moving forward including Adequan injections, Glucosamine supplements, Gabapentin, massage, and several low-impact exercises.
Henry also got a great report card from the veterinarian, which I was a bit worried about since he is only 8 months old and still quite the wiggly puppy πŸ’š
Although they are performing curb-side service because of COVID, I felt very comfortable with every step of the treatment plan. I even got a short video from his rehab session! I will definitely be recommending CARE to my fellow sport dog handlers and also to my fellow veterinary professionals!

Where do I begin with the accolades for CARE? We brought our beloved cat Baby in for treatment and she was paralyzed from the neck down. She had been developing a neurological condition and the emergency vet gave her a human dose of gabapentin (I talked to a nurse at the Fire Department about the dosage). We brought her in the day they let her out of the hospital and we saw improvements every week.

They are dedicated, loving, caring and talented. Baby loved her acupuncture and massage and loved everyone there. Unfortunately, we lost her after about 2 months of treatment, but we firmly believe that without the treatment she received, she would have left us much sooner, and would have experienced a lot more pain and discomfort. Thank you for giving us that priceless gift! We would bring any of our babies in to be treated by you all!

Can't recommend CARE enough! The staff is top notch and truly care about the dogs they work with. Dr Polkowski and every single staff member have been amazing with my American Bulldog. They are thorough and take the time to work with your pup, whatever the injury or condition may be.

CARE has been exceptional in helping to rehab my dogs with sports injuries as well as in keeping my elderly dog comfy and moving! I love the way they treat the whole dog with a custom designed program that is easy to continue at home. It has been a while since I've needed them but would not hesitate to call again when the need arises. Love this team!
