Lunenburg Veterinary Hospital is a small animal and exotic practice, which means Dr. Flinkstrom, with the aid of his team, sees dogs, cats, birds, rabbits, caged mammals, lizards, snakes, turtles, and other exotic species. We have High Definition Volumetric Imaging available in our new surgery, dentistry, and HD 3D Imaging building next door.

The team at Lunenburg Veterinary Hospital is comprised of highly trained and experienced animal health professionals who have a genuine love for working with pets. Our staff treats every patient with the highest quality of medical care as well as a gentle touch. In 1983, Dr. Flinkstrom settled in Lunenburg with wife Teresa and sons AJ and Sean, and opened Lunenburg Veterinary Mobile Facility, making house calls for "All Creatures Great and Small."In 1988 the practice was moved from the pickup truck and the kitchen table to the current facility.
Pet insurance pays, partly or in total, for veterinary treatment of the insured person's ill or injured pet. Some policies will pay out when the pet dies, or if it is lost or stolen. As veterinary medicine is increasingly employing expensive medical techniques and drugs, and owners have higher expectations for their pets' health care and standard of living than previously, the market for pet insurance has increased.

The whole team at lunenburg Veterinary hospital are amazing, loving people. They go above and beyond for us and are so good with our big baby Bow. I have been going to lunenburg vet hospital for two years so far. Got my bun solo (rabbit) during COVID and the only vet that was taking new clients was lunenburg. I have to say this place is amazing along with the people inside. Dr. Lofton is the best "rabbit savvy" vet! She's is so sweet and I can truly see she cares so much for animals! Every vet assistant I've had the pleasure of meeting have always been so bright and happy, and I love getting texts from Iris confirming appointments! So lucky I found such an awesome vet for my bun

I only wish I had known that the appointments were via videochat in advance. In spite of these pandemic precautions, I felt included and fully informed. I could tell my cats were in caring hands and that was a great comfort. I am full of gratitude for the veterinary techs and Dr. Lofton for their expertise and kindness.

Randomly prescribing my pet medications with incredibly stressful application procedures for 2 months with no positive results and snowballing conditions at the end of two month instead of taking a culture test and accurately taking care of the infection present. TOP NOTCH ya greedy careless idiots. If you care enough to take your animal to the vet -do yourself a favor and don't go to this vet

LVH staff, and Carl & Dr. Val have been taking care of our critters for 15 years, and we have complete faith and trust in LVH to provide the care, wellness, advice, and support for our beloved critters. They also show an amazing amount of compassion for the humans during tough times. I have found a vet that I can rely on, for my animals and for my self.

I have been taking my animals here for years. They have always had excellent care. However, since the pandemic, I think they have bitten off more they can chew, leaving longterm, loyal customers somewhat lost in the dust, at least that is my experience. I think the prices have always been bit high, but for better care, I thought it was worth the price. I am now reconsidering that.

If you are looking for a place to take your cat Lunenburg Veterianary Hospital is the perfect place! The staff is not only friendly but extremely helpful too. My cat has been seen by them twice now and I absolutely love them. They are great answering questions pertaining to bills, recovery, and general inquiry. Vet techs are amazing as well, they are great with my Sammy.

I wouldn’t take my rabbits anywhere else! Everyone is so personable and doesn’t mind answering your questions, they are great when the animals even when they are timid. One of our rabbits isn’t a fan of human contact and Dr. Flinkstrom and the techs were very patient with him. Also it is so convenient to be able to get the animals’ medication immediately after surgery and not have to go deal with a pharmacy. Thank you everyone!

Referrals we have been given for outside facilities for additional care have always been good referrals and spot on with care. The office staff, scheduling and communication are timely, clear and concise. Billing for all services is reasonable, and the Pet Care Club option that LVH offers makes routine and specialty care even more affordable. It is also very comforting to know that house calls can be made if needed. Just an added service that we value.

This was my first experience with them and we went there because they were the only place in the area experienced in bunnies. I unfortunately had to put my bunny Puffles down, but they made the process easier and they were caring! I also received a voicemail the following day with their condolences and a hand written card in the mail from the female doctor we saw.

Doctor Val, her genuine love of animals is apparent. Everyone is attentive and thorough with my pets. I am confident they are getting the best care. I have owned dogs most of my adult life and I loved everyone of them. They were family and as such their veterinary care was/is very important. I have received excellent vet care in Minnesota, Florida, Georgia, and Washington State, but of all the vets, technicians and staff I have known, Lunenburg Veterinarian Hospital tops them all.

This is one of the only vets around that does small animal and reptile care. I brought my Jacksons chameleon here because she had some sores on the inside of her mouth and wouldn’t eat. They took her right in and did surgery, she’s back to her normal self and I couldn’t be happier! The staff was wonderful and very welcoming and really knew what they were doing. I will absolutely be bringing my reptiles and other pets here in the future.
