Cat Clinic

This place is paws-down the best vet I have ever had. As a cat-owner for 20 years, I have been to quite a few different vets and no one cares for the cat experience as much as the staff at the Cat Clinic. My cat is a notorious vet-hater and usually hisses and growls and causes a scene but she loves this place.

I feel that the staff truly cares about Cinder and her well-being. I trust and depend on The Cat Clinic to make the right decisions to keep her in great health!

We just started taking our two cats to the Cat Clinic and couldn't be happier with the experience we've had thus far. Everyone is so attentive and friendly - including the two resident cats we met. Highly recommend these folks to anyone with cats!

I can't say enough good things about Cat Clinic. My cats have been seen by both Dr. Burner and Dr. Evans. Both are great at listening to concerns and finding a solution and answer all questions. The clinic is very efficient but you never feel rushed. I've only had positive interactions with the office staff and vet tech's and assistants. Shana, who I've talked to the most, is SO awesome about following up and finding a new solution. Such a great team, I'm bummed I'm moving away soon!

If you are wondering about where and who will give you the best service, care, and compassion, please know The Cat Clinic should be your choice. My mother and I still speak about the unsurpassed kindness and consideration we received when handling our difficult and heart wrenching realization of Frank's demise. She had 18 years of the BEST life, and we were devastated thinking of our lives without her. The treatment we received at the Cat Clinic could not have been more appropriate.

This place is all about cat care. They were very good with ours when he had a sinus infection and pointed out some needed dental work. Prices came out less than expected, though pet care is never really cheap. They have several doctors there and we'll definitely be taking our other cats there to get checked up.

We take all 4 of our cats here and couldn't be happier with the staff or with Dr. Burner. Recently took my cat Princess for a follow up from a cancer tumor removal from last year. Based off some symptoms I mentioned, Dr. Burner suggested a few test. Not only is a cost treatment plan prepared prior to moving forward, they never suggest more tests than are necessary.

Which has not always been true at other places I had gone to previously. Dr. Burner spent time reviewing her xray results very thoroughly with me and the next day followed up with her bloodwork results. He also asked if there were any additional things I had thought of since her office visit. He is so thorough and makes sure you have all your questions answered. If I could give this place 10 stars, I would. My fur babies are my children, so it's extremely they have the best. Cat Clinic is that place!

My 6 month old kitten went in for neutering and a check up. The staff was very good. Never had any wait. The doctor called right after his surgery so I didn't have to worry while he was recovering. They also had a follow up call the next day. They always answer their phones right away and made me feel very comfortable.

We appreciated your kindness, expertise, and time. Dr. Evans read Weezie's 67 pages of medical records before our visit and she took time with us explaining treatment, symptoms, and possibilities. We were pleased with all the staff and the quality of treatment.

I wish I could give the Cat Clinic 100/5 stars. They are absolutely amazing in every aspect. Every single person who works there has been so overly friendly, welcoming and helpful. And Dr. Burner is the best! He is always so thorough and goes over every single one of my concerns and always explains in depth why we're seeing symptoms and what the best course of action would be. I wish I had found them much much earlier because I will never be going anywhere else. The Cat Clinic is my forever home for my baby. I could not recommend them more highly!

I am so grateful for this place! I board my cat here every time I go on vacation. The girls who work here are super sweet and I am so appreciative to Dawn for sending me pictures of my kitty and updates when she is being boarded. They are very responsible and take such good care of my cat. I would recommend this place for boarding.

All the staff is super nice and really kind! I love walking in, it's friendly and warm. There are 2 resident cats who are so sweet! It's very clean! I love that this is only for cats, because there is no loud noises or barking from dogs to add to cats anxiety of being at a vet. They have boarding, which I love! Now I feel like I can travel without worrying about my cat.

There is great Information of pamphlet here for taking care of kittens to different insurances. They also have pet food, toys and treats there. My cats always goes crazy for the food, treats, and toys. When I have concerns or questions the vet and technician took their time to help me understand. I've been going here with family for over 10 years. And I keep going because of the quality of care provided to my kitty.

You deserve 0 stars. no word can describe how unethical and unprofessional you are. you don't even have a basic knowledge about cats and call yourself a cat specialist?! i spent thousands of dollars in your office and you did not even care about my cat and his health a little. you could not diagnose very common eye diseases after doing tons of blood work. you took pcr test twice, every time the result was different. you left me with saying my cat has a deadly disease (mistakenly) and not even called me to follow up about how he's doing. it is surprising how you guys stayed on business for 10 years! poor baby and their parents for trusting you and spending (wasting) money there! if you care about money rather than someone's pet, would be better to choose business school over the vet school. you swore, you are suppose to care about animals health first, not money! my furry baby is suffering from pain now and i bring him to the real cat specialist. i hope other parents check reviews before coming to your office.

Travelled to the Cat Clinic from LA a few times and they were absolutely amazing! Both the front desk staff and the doctors are so kind and helpful. You can tell that they really care about your pet and make sure to explain and answer any questions in depth. I found the pricing to be reasonable for the area and they seemed to be more open than other places regarding scheduling. I highly recommend taking your cats to the Cat Clinic.

We absolutely LOVE Cat Clinic! The ease of scheduling an appointment, the time they put into obtaining previous records, and the incredibly friendly front and back-office staff were an excellent start to our encounter at Cat Clinic. Gina and Tracy were very helpful! They have two live-in residents, Pierre and Spotty who are super adorable fur babes, and keep you company while waiting for your appointment.

You can take home all kinds of educational pamphlets and there is a wall with pictures displaying the amazing volunteer work they take part in which was so neat to see. We were shown to a room within 5-10 minutes of arriving, basically when we finished checking in, and were assisted by a lovely vet technician named April who was friendly, gentle, and caring. Dr. Burner was the most patient, kind, and thorough vet we have ever met!

He covered all of our concerns, allowed us to ask our million and one questions, and double-checked that he had addressed all of our concerns before leaving the room. He walked us through everything and educated us regarding topics we had never even known about, I genuinely walked away from our appointment feeling equipped with both the knowledge and tools to be a great pet parent.

He definitely took his time and ensured we felt heard. The checkout process was fast and easy, they have plenty of supplies of toys, treats, food, litter, and more so we bought a toy for our fur babe. We care about our animals so dearly and I could have cried tears of joy from how attentive, gentle, and caring everyone was for Leia. They are SO thorough, check every little body part, and provide a detailed report, unlike anything I have ever seen. I am SO grateful to have found Cat Clinic, these amazing humans definitely care about animals, dedicate their efforts, and it truly shows!

Best Cat Vet in the area. Great and affordable boarding if you need it. Only place I send my cats too and I recommend them to everyone I know. Been a loyal customer for 17 years. Now starting a new generation for hopefully another 17 plus years.

My son rescued a Kitty that needed TLC after the first visit, we had more questions that were answered right away by the office answering and also the vet calling us back. Shadow is doing well and we are well educated how to take care of our sweet kitten.

I have seen both dr Steinberg and Dr Evans, with my two cats over the years. Recently I had an appointment with dr Evans. Even though we currently cant meet in person, we felt VERY well taken care of as she went out of her way multiple times to call me back about any concerns and questions that I may have had. I feel very confident taking my cats to both doctors in their very caring clinic.

Also Id like to mention Ashley, as she has helped me navigate scheduling and answering all my questions, while being SO patient and helpful. Also the technician that came to bring my cat out has the same kind and helpful demeanor. Really a great place! ~Nina, Nounouille &Meisje

We recently had a very distressing situation with our three year old kitty. What we thought was constipation turned out to be kidney cancer. Dr. Steinberg took care of our Princess after her diagnosis. She was wonderful to us. Explained everything that was going on with Princess. The decision was made by Princess' family after three days to let Princess go to kitty heaven. Dr. Steinberg was very supportive of our decision and helped Princess and her family through a terrible time. A horrible time for all of us. Thank you Dr. Steinberg for all of your support and your respect for our Princess. VH

I'm so happy l found The Cat Clinic last year. My cat was suffering for a long time and we could never figure out what was wrong. This was the 3rd vet I ended up taking him too. The staff/doctor are always so friendly and knowledgeable. Sadly, I had to put my cat down last May, but they were eventually able to find out what was truly wrong, but it was unfortunately too late. Thanks for all you guys do.

I have already spoken to the staff at the Cat Clinic but felt the need to share my concerns with other pet guardians. Initially I didn't mind spending a little extra money and time commuting to allow my girl to see a feline specialist. My cat was prescribed an anti- thyroid medication with instructions. However when I spoke to the vet, and other faculty members at no point was I told to cut the pill in half.

As a result my cat had to be rushed to the ER two weeks later due to an overdose. Not only do I think this information regarding dosage should have been relayed- i believe it should have been emphatically stated. While I accept my part in the error ( I should have read the fine print) I left at least three voicemails when my cat was in significant distress at the ER ( yowling/ screaming in pain) during after-hours.

At no point the next day did the vet check in to see how she was doing. I expected a little more attention to detail, and while I hope they learn from their errors my kitty will likely not be coming back.

This is the best cat clinic ever! I would not take my cats anywhere else. Dr. Steinberg & Dr. Evans are compassionate, knowledgeable, and professional. They are extremely patient and take their time with you. We had a cat that was diagnosed with cancer and the Dr.s and staff were extremely patient, supportive, and helpful navigating his final months with us. If you are looking for a vet that specializes in felines, look not further. So happy our new babies will be receiving care from them.

Dr Evans saw Maggie Mae for a pronounced limp. The Doc wasn't able to see her limp, as Maggie only slinked (slunk?) across the floor. She asked me to send videos of Maggie walking, which I did. I learned that Maggie is older than our former vet's assessment. I also learned that she has a heart murmur and serious dental disease. I'm grateful to Dr Evans and the Cat Clinic for doing a thorough examination. Maggie Mae deserves the best of care - as do all cats.

We found the place that could give them that care. I don't fault the Cat Clinic in the least for their pricing policies. I find them to be fair. It's only my circumstances that require me to save for a Senior Screen, a thorough set of blood tests. That'll be required if NSAIDs help her pain to subside and we decide to keep her on them. Finally, the Cat Clinic has a stringent Covid policy in place. Clients aren't allowed in with their pets.

I was perturbed at first; once I got over that, I was merely dismayed. Policy notwithstanding, I was upset that I couldn't go in to be a comfort to Maggie. I wasn't afraid the doc and staff wouldn't be gentle. I knew they would be. And truth be told I am grateful for this policy, for all of their clients who will be protected. I recommend the Cat Clinic in Costa Mesa to everyone, wholeheartedly. My sincere thanks to all the staff and doctors.

Dr. Steinberg and the staff are just amazing. During the pandemic, I adopted an eight week old kitty from the shelter. A few days later, the kitty developed fevers and chills. I called the Cat Clinic and even though they were fully booked, they told me to come in and will somehow squeeze us in. And it's a good thing we got in because the kitty was diagnosed with bacterial pneumonia. Had it not been for Dr. Steinberg's treatment plan and Ashley getting us in on such short notice, I'm certain he would not have made it through. So, from the bottom of my heart, thank you Dr. Steinberg!

Thank you Ashley! And everyone else at the Cat Clinic! I highly recommend this clinic. Dr. Steinberg and the staff are gentle, kind, and oh so patient! And most importantly, they know their stuff. Your kitty will be very well taken care of.

Knowledgeable, kind and friendly- that's how I would describe the Cat Clinic. I'm an anxious pet parent and Dr. Steinberg and her staff did everything they could to ease me and my cats anxiety. The Cat clinic is such an amazing place. I discovered them about 3 years ago and couldn't be happier with them. Everyone is so nice when you walk in, and they really take the time to get to know you and your cats. I have never felt rushed when I am there. The doctors are prompt and don't keep you waiting either which is a huge plus. I've taken all my cats here and I won't be going anywhere else.

I trust them with my cats and I know that they are in the best hands. I have also boarded my cats here for a weekend and it was great! Even my rough tough cat had a good time and they were great with him. I can't recommend the Cat Clinic enough!

We just moved away from Orange County, and one of the things I was sad about was having to find a new vet! This place is wonderful, helped me through one cat’s terminal illness, and took care of the two new kittens we got. They are warm, welcoming, and Dr. Steinberg really knows her stuff. They’re also a great boarding facility, and when my prior cat was getting older, I knew he was in good hands whenever I had to leave town. I will miss coming here! Thank you for everything!!

You never really know your veterinarian until your pet takes his final breath. Dr Diane and her staff were here for us during the healthy times and the not so healthy times. But it was their compassion at the end that sets her above the best. What a great veterinarian she is. Thank you for everything Dr Diane.
