This was our first visit. We chose TPD because there are separate entrances for cats and dogs, reducing the anxiety experienced by Lily (our 16yo Siamese) when going to the vet. We were cheerfully greeted by a technician when we arrived for the appointment. Dr Hammerly was very knowledgeable and after examining Lily she explained what she thought the problem might be. Lily had no outward symptoms; our concerns were based on her age and that her behavior and eating were not normal.
We agreed to try Dr H's simple solution before spending much more on elaborate testing that at that point didn't seem necessary. Dr Hammerly was right because a day or two later Lily was back to normal and we were relieved. We were very satisfied with our experience and will continue to use TPD because we feel confident in the care that Lily will receive there.

Everyone here is wonderful! From the time I called to the time I left my appointment, I was kept informed every step of the way. I took my 18 year old kitty, who had been losing a lot of weight and was very weak, in. I thought I was losing my long time friend very soon. The compassion I was shown, and the expert care were so appreciated. They treated my fur baby with love, and took great care of her.
Her bloodwork results were explained in detail. I was shown how to give her her medication. By the time we got home she was feeling much better, and was eating and drinking! They saved my fur baby's life! I can't say enough good things about these wonderful, caring professionals! I am forever grateful!

This was such a wonderful experience for such a stressful time. Special thanks to Jessie and Dr. Callaway for seeing our dog Lola on such short notice. We were able to be seen and diagnosed within a brief period of time. I absolutely recommend coming here and being AAHA certified is definitely a plus for me. They truly care for everyone who walks through the door. Thank you!

Giving 1 star rating is too generous. The owner, Dr Marcy Hammerle, has a reputation for being rude to customers and I just experienced it. Her front desk staff are not professional as well. Her morals and ethics as a vet are not there - when I asked for a referral for a dog chiropractor because my dog is in pain and needs an adjustment she refused to give it to me.
I want a vet who truly loves animals and has their best interest at heart. Dr Hammerle lets her personal feelings get in the way. This is not a vet you want to treat your animal.

I lost my 14 year old American Bulldog, Boss, two weeks ago. He was my world. I’m not sure if I can put into words how Dr. Callaway and her staff made saying goodbye to him such a kind and loving experience. Every appointment we had with them, including his final moments were ones filled with love, patience, and thoughtfulness. I am forever grateful to this phenomenal group.

Dr. Hammerle has saved our household. Seven years ago, I adopted a rescue-declawed cat who was always shy and on the insecure side. This summer, I had the good fortune of a friend taking my Rigbe to The Pet Doctor to have her paws checked and, subsequently, repaired via operation. Cut to less than 60 days later and the toes healed beautifully, and Rigbe is basically living a whole new life.
A cat that spent 23 hours a day hiding from the world suddenly became confident and present. Where she used to get upset about foster kittens, now she tolerates and sometimes even plays with them. It breaks my heart that I didn’t take her to The Pet Doctor sooner. Dr. Hammerle also took extreme care to ensure Rigbe was healthy the day of surgery, which is what you always want to know about anyone putting your pet under.

Dr Marcy has been caring for my critters since she opened her doors for business. I have never received anything but honest options to provide the best health care that I can personally afford for my pets. I am forever grateful to be "heard" by Dr Marcy when ever I'm worried about one of my fur-kids, it doesn't matter how silly my worries may sound either, she's still listening:. Having been a client this long, I can say that I am continuously impressed by Dr Marcy's never ending desire to stay with the current times and push ever forward by continuing education that enables our pets to receive the latest treatments available to them. I'm grateful and my "kids" are too!

The Pet Doctor's staff is knowledgeable and Dr. Marcy is one of the most qualified and credentialed veterinarians in the state of Missouri. They care more about giving the highest standard of care than they do about seeing as many patients as possible in a work day. So many vets only allow 15 minutes per client and never really get to know their clients or their pets.
The Pet Doctor is different! They never man-handle pets or traumatize them just to "get it done". They take their time and use gentle, low-stress handling to make sure that your pet has the best possible experience. I recommend them to everyone!

I am cross-posting this review with FB I must say I am completely discouraged when I placed a call yesterday to your facility to try to get a copy of my pups Rabies shot records, only to find out, you have absolutely no record of ever giving my pup his shot. Yet I have his tags and Petco holds the records for the shot. I unfortunately will not recommend anyone to your facility. I will say this much, the staff was great with my Pup and extremely friendly, but bad record keeping is not the way to go.

The Pet Doctor has been our veterinarian since we moved to Missouri in 2004. The staff is friendly and capable with all of our pets over the years, including dogs, cats, and a rabbit! Dr. Marcy’s early cancer diagnosis in one of our cats helped save her life! The Pet Doctor supports area rescues as well, giving their time and energy to animals in need.

Current words in the English Dictionary can't describe the talent and compassion of the entire staff at The Pet Doctor. From the moment you walk in the door, you'll notice the difference in the way the way they approach veterinary care. The details are noticeably addressed. Our pets do their best to tell us how they're feeling and the entire crew at The Pet Doctor is listening. I'm not some psycho pet owner. I just believe that we owe our pets the best and this is where they get that.

Dr. Callaway is amazing. A top notch doctor who really cares for her patients. I have worked along side this doctor in the past and I highly respect and trust her. The Pet Doctor is very lucky to have her. The facility is amazing as well. I also have to say that this is a very caring clinic who also impressed me by their donation of a service dog to United Services for Children, a school for children with special needs. I would highly recommend them for your pets care. They will be treated like family.
