I was very disappointed when I took my dog in to get neutered. We went in to get our dog evaluated. They told us that it would cost us around $175 as our dog was just under 50lbs. The day came and we dropped our dog off to get the procedure. When it was all done, we were called to pickup our dog. When we got there we were told it would be $300 plus!
They said the increase was because our dog was over 50lbs. I asked how much our dog weighed. They said 51lbs. One freaken pound and they doubled the price! I feel like they were dishonest and not up front with what the real cost would be. I do not recommend going here. Please do your research and go to a more honest vet clinic.

Was grateful they were able to get my sick pup in on a Saturday for a first time visit. Were there 3 hours for a visit that definitely didn't need to take that long. Just very slow processes on simple things. Had to call back 4 days later to get another med. they took ALL day to call back. I could've gotten my dog those meds that day. But she had to wait til next day.
In PAIN. Now 9 days later we try and get her back in because she's still having issues and they say, we're not taking new patients. Ok. but you did? Sooo umm what? We are new to the area but we won't be new to this vet. Unrelated to the service. Snapped some pics of expired licenses while in there too.

We had our pet bunny spayed here and were send home with some pain medication and a cone for her to wear that would prevent picking at the incision. We were told that if she was not eating normally by the morning, to bring her back in. That was the case so we returned the next morning. They gave us some critical care to force feed her and directed us to feed her 7 ml a day.
Come the next morning her conditions were worsening. It was Sunday, so A Caring Vet was closed. We were forced to find an emergency vet elsewhere. After the emergency vet evaluated our bunny's current condition, we were informed that A Caring Vet had not prescribed her strong enough pain medication to ease our bunny's pain and our bunny needed to be feed closers to 80 ml of critical care a day to receive all the nutrients she needs.
We were also informed that a cone should almost never be used on a bunny as it will cause stress levels to rise doing more harm than good. We were told that a bunny with the correct pain medication dosage will usually not pick at the incision. If you have a bunny, I strongly recommend you take him/her elsewhere. While A Caring Vet will attend to bunnies, they do not seem knowledgeable in the proper post operative care that a bunny requires.

I will never have a bad thing to say about A Caring Vet. I am overjoyed that there is an honest, kind, and considerate establishment for me to take my fur babies to. I have seen every one of the doctors and they are all my favorite. The staff is exceptionally trained well and you can tell they have such a love for All animals. Please I ask all of you who love this place as much as I do to, to voice yourself. It is though our voice that these small and amazing businesses stay open.

I took my pup to a caring vet on a Saturday. He had been dealing with a cough for a few days. Other experiences I have had with vets have been let's run tests and see what it could be. At a caring vet Dr peacock listened to me and my thoughts along with doing a great exam on cosmo. She gave him a few meds and we were on our way no expensive tests! I would highly recommend this office.

We have had great care with them. We have a princess almost 10 y/o chihuahua, who is completely part of out family. She was hurt, with absolutely no idea how, and they took great care to help us get her the right treatment and medication combo needed to get her well and back to her tail wagging, fun loving dog!

They were so sweet to my sisters kitty who I took in to get her second shots. The previous vet I went to didn't do the best job at recording her shots on the records they sent over and these guys did such a good job at getting clarification on what happened at the other vets office and what needed to be done. They explained everything very clearly and made sure I agreed to everything before giving my sister cat any shots. Which might seem like a no brained but was much appreciated as I haven't had that at some vets. I would recommend taking your pet here!

I love this office. Everybody here is so nice and helpful. They were so reassuring on an emergency visit with one of my puppies and so informative on a scheduled visit with my other puppy. They got me in very quickly, same day in both instances, and hardly no waiting at my appointment time. They answered all of my questions and gave me specific follow up information. It was so very helpful.

I've tried calling them a few times and texting them, no one ever answers. The vet we usually go to was booked months out and I needed to find an alternative. I had gone here one other time, it was ok but over priced. However, I needed to take my dog in for an ear infection so I was willing to try them again. The lack of response to phone calls and texts has lead me to not even waste my time trying to book an appointment here.

I've been to many veterinary clinics in the last 20 years. This clinic is by far the BEST Veterinary Clinic I've been to! They didn't try to charge usf or any unnecessary tests or procedures. They gave us two different options to do for my fur baby. Everything was fairly priced, the paperwork was easy to understand, and the level of care, I've seen so far, is way ABOVE where I was expecting!
I will make sure EVERYONE knows your clinic is the best place to take their animals to and feel comfortable & safe with your service, pricing, and care! I'm so grateful to have found YOU!!! You really are A Caring Vet!!! Thank you!!!

This used to be a terrific vet. Dr. Hansen has always been so-so, but the other vets made up for him. Since December 2019 though, theyve lost all their good techs, leads and front desk people. About six months ago they made a habit of charging for an exam with every visit, whether or not an exam occurred. Its sad. We used to love coming here, where everyone knew our pet and we were excited to visit . Now, everyone there is a stranger with little experience and the focus is on maximizing billings over patient care.

I have been to A Caring Vet more times than I can count (having 3 cats and a dog) and I have always found them to be eager to help and very thorough. They've answered my many questions, listened to me gushing about my animals and how cute they are, and they always show genuine concern. My dog had surgery to have some lumps removed and they took such good care of her and gave me the tip to use an old tshirt to keep her from licking her stitches, not a cone. Saved my life!
Her scar is almost invisible now. My cats don't like the visit so much but they are always very careful and you can tell they are cat people because they are so good to them. I would trust them with my animals and after reading the other reviews am kind of perplexed about how someone could have a bad experience there. 4 stars because sometimes the wait can be long, but I wouldn't trade them!

We took our dog today to have an infected paw looked at. They were going to "clip the hair" and "clean the paw" but they didn't because the dog was "too anxious." So no attention given there. Paw was bleeding and oozing when we left the office. They charged me $200+ dollars and I left with a bleeding dog and 2 prescriptions. We will not be back. 0/10 would. not. recommend. Waited over a week to get this nothing appointment, paid a fortune for ZERO care. Recommend anywhere else.

I took my French bulldog because he was having discharge from his nose and it looked like it was getting infected. They didn't had appointments available but told me that I could go drop him off and they will see him when the doctor has a chance. Long story short, my dog didn't liked it so they called and ask me to go be present during the exam. That Vet couldn't picked b a better name for his office because he is the most caring vet I've ever know!

When I brought my elderly dog in, I knew they prognosis was going to be bad--I unfortunately had to put my pup to rest. The doctor and the rest of the staff were incredibly compassionate and patient as this was an obviously an emotional time for me. They explained and made me options clear to me for what to expect when it comes to putting a dog down.
Post appointment they even sent me a card with sweet messages of condolences. Overall, they made one of the hardest times, easier to deal with with their service. I'd recommend them to anyone looking for a safe place to send their pets.

They took the time to answer questions and brought up other things I might have questions about. Dr. Hansen took the time to talk to my dog and pet him before beginning the exam so it was a pleasant experience rather than traumatizing one since he is an anxious dog. The vet tech was amazing also. They are very upfront with pricing. I was provided an estimate for the visit as well as an estimate for my next follow up visit.

They have helped me through a pretty crappy time, both of my ferrets had to be put down in the span of a month "they were very old" and the vets and nurses were kind, caring, and they did not make me feel awkward for crying. some vets seem like they just want your money but these guys clearly care about animals and their owners

The staff is so nice and understanding here. We recently had to put down our dog due to heart failure. I have never been so upset in my life. The vet tech and the dr assisting both were so calming and reassuring. They both hugged me and let me cry while I went through this awful process. I am so thankful for their compassion and kindness. Two days later they sent me some flowers which honestly meant the world to me. Thank you so much.

Took my 18 month old puppy here for the first time this week and we loved it here. We moved from California a few months ago and tried another vet that had great reviews but didn't give me the warm feeling I was looking for. Dr Peacock and the vet techs here made us so comfortable! This is the place I've been looking for

Absolutely love this vet clinic! Discovered A Caring Vet a few years back when our family dog needed attention and have been coming back ever since. Recently had to put our dog to sleep. The staff were compassionate and sympathetic. They made a difficult situation comforting, even sent a follow up sympathy card. Today's trip was for a follow up visit for daughter's pet guinea pig. Service was prompt and care given, excellent once again. Highly recommend A Caring Vet. They live up to their name!

After calling 4 different vets today and being told that they couldn’t see my dog until tomorrow, he has an open wound, I called A Caring Vet and they told me I could come in and they would fit us in, we would just have to wait. They were so good to us and the staff were very kind and caring, they listened to my concerns and answered all of my questions. I will definitely be taking Odie back to them.

My pug lenny is always getting into things and eating things he shouldn't be. I had to bring him in to get a goiter drained. Then he got chicken pox. Then he pooped out a stick and has 3 more growths all over his body. I'm surprised at the amount of attention the staff gave us each time. Thank you!!

Dr Hansen really is a caring vet. My husband brought our dog here years ago when another vet in town wanted to charge him over $400 to take a fox tail out of the dogs ear. Dr. Hansen approach and prices were a lot more reasonable. We ended up returning anytime we needed veterinary care up until when the dog passed away. He was always very honest and straightforward with what could be done and reasonable options for lowering prices or numbers of procedures.
He was honest about outcome and did everything possible to keep the dogs calm instead of insisting on having her in the table where she would be frightened. The staff treats the animals and their owners very well. I feel very comfortable coming here and will return whenever we have any more veterinary needs.

As a pet owner it is ver important to find the right veterinarian. The name of location, simply sums it up, they were very caring and attentive to my needs. The doctors there are very friendly and take their time to answer all questions. Great experience overall, worth every penny. What's best of all Khloe my Yorkshire came out a happy camper. I definitely recommend this place.

I have such mixed feelings about this vet. The staff was very nice but we have had a lot of issues. We took our very sick dog in & they ran tests to figure out what was wrong, came to the 100% conclusion that she had a blockage in her intestine & said exploratory surgery was necessary. We of course did the surgery because we were told by the vet that it was for sure the case and would fix the issue.
Well after a foot long incision was made, no blockage was found & they decided it was an infection- this was $1400 later and a great deal of pain and suffering to my sweet pup. I got a second opinion later & was told an ultrasound would have showed this rather than cutting her open (also a biopsy wasn't taken while they were inside of her). Well 5 weeks later she became even more sick (vomiting blood as well as bloody diarrhea) & I took her to another vet because I wasn't going to put her through hell again.
Long story short, my dog left this vet with a huge and painful incision (which didn't fix the issue clearly because it came back with a vengeance) as well as LICE, which she passed to our other dog and we are having to spend hundreds to treat this now.

Thank you for getting us in same day on a Saturday before Christmas! They did a great job figuring out what was wrong and the vet even pulled in the other vet for a second opinion just in case. They communicated with me the entire time about procedures and cost. They didn't do anything without discussing it with me first. The problem was luckily not as severe as we had thought it might be. And our kitty is home resting happily. Thank you!

We took our cat here after it got really sick for several weeks. They took a few looks at him and said he just had an infection, and gave us some antibiotic pills to shove down his throat (this is impossible to do to cats by the way) and he'd be fine. Well, he was so sick we couldn't get him to take any, and the vet was NOT very personable about it all, so we went elsewhere.
The second vet checked our cat all over thoroughly and found out his glands were all swollen (first vet didn't do this.) Turns out he had Feline Aids, which is fatal and contagious to our other cat, and he had to be put down. Not only were they totally wrong, and not very nice to us when we were in there with our cat paying $200 to get it treated for the wrong disease, they blew off my followup calls and they send me texts on my cat's birthday wishing him a happy birthday and telling us it's time to bring him in again. even though he's been put down. I recommend going elsewhere. Avoid if you can.

I love this place. It was the first time I had been there (my vet was booked up for a few days) and everyone was so fantastic!! My cat was sick and they just fit us in. They Were so cute with him and took such great care of him. They explained everything to me on my level of knowledge. After about 24 years of a different vet, I think I've found a new, even better one!!! Yay!!

I cannot express how impressed I am with this facility. Dr. Hansen is by far the most caring veterinarian I have been to. He actually takes his time with my dogs and gets to know them and makes sure they are as calm as possible. The whole staff is so nice and helpful, and have been so comforting in times of high stress. Roxanne, and Wayne always give the best care to my Sadie who has high anxiety at the vet, and makes her feel better.
And Tracy is so helpful in answering questions and helping me out, especially the times I have called up in a frantic psychotic state from some type of problem my dogs or cat is having. I also love that they have interns because not only are they contributing to the education of future vets and vet techs, but they are setting an amazing standard for them as they continue. I recommend them to everyone. If I could give 10 as a rating I would. Thank you to A Caring Vet for being so great!

Dr. Hansen really is A Caring Vet. He's taken care of my three dogs. The most recent time was an emergency. My chihuahua started coughing and having a hard time breathing, it was really scary. We rushed him to the vet and he was given oxygen and meds to calm him down, we found out he has a collapsed trachea. It's common in small dogs. I was really concerned and Dr. Hansen showed me the x ray of the collapsed trachea and explained exactly what was wrong and what my dog needed and that he could still live a good life. My dog is a happy, healthy boy. Great staff too!
