Vaccinations
Report
There are a variety of diseases which affect our pets and other animals. This makes proper vaccination vital in protecting them from the many types of illnesses they are susceptible to. It’s important to consult with us about the unique risks of living in our region. We will be happy to discuss the benefits of protecting your pet with vaccinations, as well as, provide you with information on the required vaccinations for your pet.
Microchipping
Report
Every year, thousands and thousands of pets go missing. Not knowing where your pet is or how to bring them back can be a helpless, hopeless feeling. It’s a tragedy that happens all too often. But there is a simple, safe, and effective way to ensure your pet’s safety and retrieval should they ever become lost. Microchipping is a standard procedure that implants a tiny chip underneath your pet’s fur. It is a painless and relatively fast procedure, and is completely safe. This microchip is registered with your pet’s vital information, and can be scanned by any veterinarian or animal shelter so that they can return your pet directly to you.
Exams and Consultations
Report
Our staff will get a chance to talk to you and see if you are having any trouble with your pet. We will also go over diet, preventative medicine, and exercise to ensure that your pet is as healthy as possible. Then, one of our veterinarians will do a complete physical examination on your pet. It is always good to have a baseline in case your pet ever becomes ill. We also want to monitor your pet’s weight, ensuring that your pet stays a healthy weight. It is much easier to start a diet when a pet is a pound overweight instead of fifteen! Our veterinarian will also look for any potential problems. Our goal is to catch any problems before they become major ones. The sooner that we are able to catch a problem, the easier it is to treat it and the more likely that your pet will make a full recovery!
Surgery
Report
We believe in utilizing the highest level of medical technology, and our surgeons are experienced and highly trained. We also realize that it can be stressful to have your pet undergo surgery. We want to assure you that your pet is in good hands, and that we will do everything to provide the best care possible. We will communicate with you about the things you need to know before, during, and after your pet’s surgery. It is our goal to make the entire process go smoothly, and to eliminate the stress and worry of surgical procedures.
Preventative Medicine
Report
Regular checkups allow us to establish a baseline in your pet’s health and make us aware of any changes that may indicate future problems. We highly recommend bringing your pet in for regular exams. Often times health problems that go undetected can become more serious issues when left untreated, so checkups are important even when your pet appears healthy.

Veterinarians are caring and communicate the needs of my pet very clearly. I received great advice and all of my concerns were addressed. Dr. Taylor makes sure that my senior dog has a treatment plan to keep him as healthy and happy as possible. I couldn't be more confident in the care he receives. Technicians are kind, friendly and very knowledgeable! Receptionists and office staff are kind and handle everything with a great attitude! They will take care of any needs your pet may have.

When you choose a vet for your pets, you want someone who will treat them as there own. That is how I feel when I walk in here. They have my babies best interest in mind and treat them like family. I'm always greeted with kindness and they are always punctual which is always nice. I recently had to say goodbye to my dog of 15 years and they helped me say goodbye and made the most awful day the best it could have possibly been.
You would have thought they knew my Winston as long as I had. If you want a compassionate vet with lots of knowledge and experience, that treats your pets like their own, then this is the place for you!

We had to put baby to sleep. The staff was amazing. They were not only there for him but for us. The staff was so kind and talked to us and explained everything along the way. They let us time any time we needed to say our goodbies. We brought him home for a burial and they put him in a cadaver bag carried him out so carefully and placed him gently in the car. I want to thank you all for making this difficult time easier on us.

This vet clinic is the worst! Because of COVID you are unable to go in to make decisions for your pet. They take your pet in, perform what they think needs to be done, and then charge an extravagant fee for it. I have taken my two outdoor kittens in twice now, and spent over $700 for a couple vaccinations and ear cleanings. We won't be back.

I took my dog here for an injury, even though we are not regular patients. They were able to see him the same day, and the staff was very friendly. You can tell that they truly care about the animals they treat. I am so pleased with them that I think they will just have to be our PCP for our dog, Ralph. Also, Martha was very kind and deserves a raise.

This is the best vet I have ever been too. About two weeks ago we lost our dog to cancer and everyone in that office was so sweet. The other day I received a card in the mail and it was from them. Every single person in the office signed it and it was just so very sweet. If we ever decide to get another dog they will definitely be the vet we choose.

We are new to the Shelbyville area and knew that we would eventually need to find a vet for our Shorkie, Dutch. However, he had other plans when he jumped off the chair and hurt his leg. That had us scrambling looking for a vet that would take us last minute. After calling two other vets and feeling frustrated that no one would help, East Shelby told us to bring him on in.
We were so grateful for that and thankfully Dutch was just fine. He was quickly back to his wild, crazy self. Once there we found a wonderful, caring vet. Dr. Taylor and staff were absolutely awesome. My husband and I had to laugh when the lady that we assumed was the "receptionist" as she was the one that greeted us at the desk and had us fill out paperwork.she then walked into the room later in her lab coat and introduced herself as the vet.
Talk about small town feel! Loved it. She was so attentive to all of Dutch's needs and helped us to understand more fully the need for more intensive dental care.no other vet had ever done that. We were so grateful to them and are excited that we now have our Shelbyville vet!

Dr. Taylor and her staff are "ACES". We had our first visit last week. After recently moving to Shelbyville, we needed a vet for our Puggle's annual check up and shots, along with that both our dogs needed nail trims. Everyone is so friendly and helpful. This was the best vet experience we have ever had. Awesomeness. Thank you all.

We have been bringing our cats here for 7 years and couldn't ask for a better vet. We live in Louisville and every once in a while I think I should find a vet closer to home, but then we go in for an appointment and I'm reminded of why we drive to ESAC. Both Doctors are fantastic. We primarily see Dr. Belcher and she is so warm and caring toward the pets, but also able to joke around with us about the crazy things they do.

Dr. Taylor, thanks for making my life easy when it comes to bringing Luke in to the see you! Although, I think he may have a crush! I am convinced it's a crush...or those treats are doggone divine! But how could any four-legged creature resist? In all seriousness, thanks for providing Luke and me the finest. most complete pet care available... with a lot of love. I have seen a lot of vets in the past and your genuine love and care is truly rare.
