This is the best vet in the area. I can't even say enough good things Dr. Werger and the entire Mountaintop Animal Hospital staff. Our puppy got a cut on his leg and our normal vet couldn't get us in until 3 days later to look at it so we would of had to go to the local emergency animal hospital which could be hours wait and ridiculously expensive. Dr. Werger took us right in even though they were so busy and was able to fix our puppy right up.
He saved us hours of our time and a lot of money! These people truly care about the well being of animals and will go out of their way to make sure your pet receives the best care. We will only be going to Dr. Werger and the Mountaintop Animal Hospital from now on. Thank you so much for taking good care of our baby!

Was referred here by my local vet when I was having some problems with my cat. She needed an x-ray and ultrasound of her mouth/throat and my vet didn't have those services at the moment. Told them what was wrong and that I was referred, and they did the x-ray but couldn't do the ultrasound because "we weren't going to be using that machine today or this week".
They then looked at the x-ray and my cats mouth and determined she "needed" surgery to remove some teeth and that should fix her issue of not being able to eat. Dr. Spiece even said she felt something in her throat/chest area. Fast forward a couple weeks later and she was still having problems so I took her for another opinion and that vet read the SAME x-ray correctly and determined she had a mass in her throat and at this point I had to put her to sleep since she was too weak for surgery with all the weight she lost.
Staff was nice and friendly, however I would take my pet elsewhere if you have the chance. If they do the ultrasound and read the x-ray correctly who knows what could have happened (could have even been the same result, but at least I wouldn't of had to put her through a surgery she didn't need plus money spent on it). Just my experience with this vet.

Critical: Responsiveness Called to make a appointment to get my dog in and they aren't accepting new patients. The joys of being in the military and having to transfer. The next time I'm going to say its not convenient at this time and you can check back in a few weeks. At least Sierra was very polite on the phone.

The front desk staff seem to have a negative attitude. I like the doctors but just trying to get any of them to call you seems impossible. Due to my being sick they wouldn't even try to work with me. The staff kept telling me that the meds they have at the vet are better than what I can get at any other OTC store. I was just asking for help getting Prescription flea medication and they didn't seem to want to help.
They just kept telling me to use the other stuff that's over the counter. I told him I have tried them all and none of them seem to be working any longer. They don't want me back and I don't want to go back.

Took my 5 year old cat who had a UTI was fine when I too him, brought him home and he died the next day. Another vet said he was over medicated and should have been watched for a day or two by the vet. Employee with red hair is very mean and un caring. I paid 450.00 for them to kill my cat. Karen the vet and owner is money hungry and as sympathetic as a wet dish towel. Avoid this place cause a UTI won't kill a cat unless the vet is in a rush and neglects your animal. I have reported her to the SPCA for animal cruelty.

I took my dog here for what seemed to be a skin rash. The staff didn't seem friendly or polite at all. I didnt feel comfortable with the visit. Nothing personable or welcoming about this place. I was referred to this place after asking about a good vet in the local area. I find it strange that almost all the other vets in the area keep their facebook, social mrdua and business oage up to date with pics, information, staff, etc. This one doesnt do that. It may be personal preference but i think its nice when you're able to see those things for a vet office.

My dog receives a heartworm dose every month,12 months a year. I provide this faithfully since my dog is a very important member of my family. I was told by the person at the front desk they would not sell me the heartworm medication since they only showed only one 6 months supply purchased. I informed them that my other dog had passed away and I was using the remainder of his supply. She still would not sell me the heartworm medication. I will now find to a more friendly clinic, even if I have the test done again.

Our cat Pipsqueak has been seeing Karen since she was a little kitten. Because Pipsqueak was the runt of the litter, she had special needs and we weren't sure if she was gonna make it. Thanks to Karen and the rest of the amazing staff at Mountaintop Animal Hospital, our little girl is 16 years old and is going strong! We're saddened that Pipsqueak is no longer under Karen's care since we moved to Tennessee, but we want to thank her for taking such good care of our beloved cat!

I wouldn't even think about going anywhere else. Mercedes always loved it there, and so do Lola, and our newest addition, Zoey. Great people! Kind and caring staff without a doubt!! Even a few years back, when I found out that Mercedes was very sick... When she passed away, the staff was so understanding and so very kind. Thanks to all of you!!!!!

We had to put our dog Buff down last Thursday. Dr. Spiece and staff couldn't have been more caring and sympathetic. I've had Buff since 2002. This was one of the hardest decisions I ever had to make, but it was time. Today I received a card from all the staff that brought a tear to my eye. Thank you Dr. Spiece and all your staff.
