From the moment you walk in to Whittington Veterinary Clinic it is obvious that Dr. Paul Whittington, Dr. Casi Boudreaux, and team have an immense passion for veterinary medicine. Dr. Paul Whittington bought Prejean Veterinary Clinic in April 2009 and formed Whittington Veterinary Clinic. Prejean Veterinary Clinic was established by Dr. Clyde Prejean in 1969. Dr. Whittington plans on keeping Dr. Prejean's small town caring nature while providing big town services and facilities.
Dr. Paul and Dr. Casi were both raised in the surrounding area and are known for their young, energetic, ethical, and compassionate hearts. They leave no question unanswered and sincerely love their role as veterinarians. Regardless of your situation, we will work to assist you at every turn, keeping you informed every step of the way.
Our clinic offers a complete small animal veterinary hospital including in-house blood work, radiographs, ultrasounds, and surgical suite just to name a few. We also have the ability to work with all of your large animal needs in our new state of the art, large animal clinic. This lets our customers to bring their horses, sheep, pigs, goats, or cattle to the clinic where we have full service working pens, a hydraulic flip chute, and numerous cow and horse stalls.

DVM Small Breed Dr. Casi loves being a vet 'because she loves being able to give animals a voice and nourishing a healthier relationship between the pet and their family. Dr. Casi Alleman is a native of Scott, Louisiana. She attended UL Lafayette and graduated from LSU School of Veterinary Medicine in 2008.

Brilliant in every way! Small town service paired with big city technology! Drive through COVERED AREA for big rig keeps your large animals safe and dry. A tech was immediately at my window offering to unload and check me in. Dr. Paul conducted a thorough pre-purchase exam on a horse. He takes his time and I never felt rushed. He explained X-rays in great detail and recommended teeth floating.
He then stayed late to do power tool teeth floating and showed me the points on the teeth and cheek ulcers. They handled the horse so well, that he was relaxed throughout the entire visit. The efficient front desk staff stayed late to check me out and never rushed me even though it was well past 5 on a Friday. The whole place runs like a well-greased and friendly machine!
The staff is genuinely concerned and accommodating. We are incredibly lucky to have Dr. Paul Whittington and his entire staff in Acadiana. I'd put them up against the best vets in Colorado and California where I always visited the top clinics. Bravo!

We just moved to Abbeville from Arizona where we had an am amazing vet for our 8 cats and dog. I doubted that we would ever find a veterinarian as good as Dr. Saul in Flagstaff. I saw Dr. Whittington with our dog, Ollie-gator as a new patient yesterday, Dr. Saul was as patient, thorough and easy to talk to as Dr. Saul times 10! We are so happy to have found a vet that I know will take care of our herd.

My 3 yr old bloodhound (Lola) normally gets extremely anxious when going to the vet, but when we walked in the front door, she was calm as can be, and absolutely LOVED all the attention she got from the staff! I know every pet is different, but for this kind of peace when going to the vet, Whittington will be my choice for life! Thanks guys, keep up the great work!

Our first visit to Whittington Vet Clinic was very pleasant. Our animal companion Molly was nervous and a bit protective of us yet the staff remained super sweet and calm. They informed us of all options in regards to preventatives and alternate locations for surgery services in the case we might not be able to afford their pricing. While we appreciate the alternative options, Whittington is easily affordable, has a cozy and uplifting interior with professional and hospitable staff that give every bit of attention a client could hope for. Very satisfied with our visit and look forward to the next!

So far, this place is amazing! Dr. Casi and the staff are the best. Moving and finding another Vet for my fury blind guy who was use to having a vet/friend since birth has been a tough transition. But they made him and myself feel welcomed and they were concerned with making sure he wasn't stressed. Can't wait to bring him back for his next visit.

This clinic is amazing! They have an awesome staff from the front desk to the veterinarians. I just started taking my baby there in Feb '21 and care and love she was shown was amazing. Unfortunately on 7/15/21, my baby (11 yrs 4 mths old) was having breathing issues, not eating, just not acting like herself. We decided as a family that she needed to go to the Rainbow bridge.
I contacted the clinic and told them what was going on and asked if we could bring her in. With all the respect and kindness that the staff gave us when we got there was amazing. They told us to take our time and when we were ready to let them know. With the sincerity of the staff and Dr. Casey we recieved, we knew that she was left in good hands. When and if I ever get another pet, I will be returning to Whittington Veterinary Clinic.

Dr Casey and the staff here are amazing. Their caring and kind nature sets you at ease and you know immediately that your pet is in good hands. My dog Beaux always hated going to the vet, but since moving back to Louisiana and choosing this clinic, he loves going! He recently had to have surgery and he received excellent care here..

Last week we lost our sweet Noodles to a horrible accident. My regular vet recommended Whittington due to the nature of her injuries. I groom dogs and I have always heard wonderful things about the staff at Whittington, but they went above and beyond my expectations. We recently lost a poodle who fifteen years old and a chihuahua who was ten years old, and then tragically due to her injuries we had to put Noodles to sleep.
The staff was absolutely amazing especially Alisha and Dr. Paul. I can not express how much I appreciate the compassion that you guys showed me and my family. Truly amazing people!

Literally the BEST vet I've ever been to! They are so compassionate and caring, and they TRULY want the best for your animal! Dr. Casi always has the best advice for me to help take care of my baby. Since their opening, the Whittington staff treated my little dog Patch with the personal care, kindness and love rarely seen these days. And when my dog became ill, they cared for her (and I suppose for us too) with the tenderness of family, up through her final days. My wife and I will never forget that and now take or new dog there. We cannot give more than five, but the staff at Whittington Vet Clinic deserves ten stars!

I can honestly say I was very pleased with the way my fur baby was taken care of. I brought her in to get spayed and they did a wonderful job. They took care of her as she was their own.
