At Home Veterinary Services

At Home Veterinary Services were there for me in a very difficult time. I had an 18 year old cat with multiple health issues. I utilized their quality of life assessment (very thorough and very informative), acupuncture for my cat and, ultimately, in home euthanasia. Every step of the way they were informative, collaborative, kind and understanding.

I appreciated the extra time they were able to spend caring for and getting to know my precious cat, and also their patience in explaining their findings to myself and my husband. They definitely helped ease everyone's pain in a very difficult time.

The people working here were outstanding! We had to wait in our car while our cat received care but they stayed in contact with us over the phone through the whole process. They were excellent at being thorough and explained every detail to us and asked for our opinion when it came to types of medicine based on what we thought we could best do for our cat.

They were all so sweet and make recommendations about our cats health and really, genuinely showed a love for animals and what they do. 100% worth the drive out there to see them again!

When it was time to let our little princess go the emergency vets head up to 24-Hour waits in your car we called at home veterinary services for an assessment and euthanasia painful as it was they were a joy to work with

I used to be ride or die for them and appreciated the care they gave my dog towards the end of his life. I recommended then to friends all the time. And then the pandemic hit and they stopped seeing patients, and then it was ok we will see them as a drive thru but you have to wait 2 months for an appt, and then it was ok well we are feline only. After 10+ years of being a client I was just left out on my own with a dog that is literally eating himself alive and no vet to help me because every other vet clinic in the metro area is not taking new patients or can't see us for months. Even the emergency clinics won't take us. So my loyalty and thousands of dollars got me. nothing. LOL.

We have been a client for close to a year now. We had a special need for in home services and they accepted us as new clients even though they were not accepting new patients at the time. We have always received exceptional service from Angie, who handles all of the appointment requests etc. Dr Mesher is very knowledgeable and shows so much compassion to my furbaby, she treats him as if he was her own. I feel very confident in the care that we receive from this clinic and I highly recommend them.

Fantastic service. Very caring. Dr. Posey and Rachel were timely and truly cared for our dog. I love that they come to the house, which is so much less traumatic for our dog. Appreciate their caring service. 100 stars.

At Home Veterinary Services just came and performed the best exam EVER on my Percy! Good news, he just needed some antibiotics and mild steroids, as I suspected. The vet and tech were terrific, and the cost was honestly about the same as going in to my regular clinic, but without the stress. She actually had trouble listening to his lungs because he was purring so loudly! They took their time and clearly really cared about my boys (the tech was playing with my younger kitty). Strongly recommended!

Dr Posey and Rachel were on time. My cat has bladder issues. I’m unable to ambulate very far and messing with a cage isn’t fun. Complete work up. Very good at handling my baby. I look forward to the follow up appointment in 2.5 wks. They drew blood, unable to tap her bladder, gave her antibiotic and pain shots. Very satisfied

These folks get it. They understand the care you want both in caring for your pet and when it is time to say good-bye. We were referred to them by our pet sitter. The hardest day of our life with our sweet baby girl was made a little easier with their gentle care and kind words. They even sent us a card later that expressed their empathy and sadness at us losing our sweet girl Lab/Blue Heeler mix.

Nothing stops the pain that occurs that day, but they handled it gracefully and didn't rush the process.They even leave the home to let you say good-bye without them present. They use a stretcher, and cover your pet with a nice blanket, to take the loved pet to their vehicle. We may be checking into their in-home vet care soon, since our other pup doesn't do well when we take him out to the other vet.

I am so thankful for the compassionate care provided by At Home Veterinary Services. I was faced with the most horrible decision when my beloved cat Yeti was diagnosed with a fatal and incredibly painful oral cancer. I knew I had to help him end his suffering, and I did not want to subject him to the trauma of a car ride and vet office visit. So I chose At Home Veterinary Services, and I am very highly satisfied with their professional service and their humane personalities.

From the first email contact with Angie, to the actual home visit, all services and information were delivered efficiently, professionally, and most importantly, kindly. At the home visit, Dr. Tisha Posey and Rachel Long, CVT, could not have been more awesome. They were incredibly warm, informative, kind, and patient. And excellent at their jobs. I am so, so grateful.

They made a horribly sad day go as smoothly and as humanely as possible. I never wanted to say goodbye to my boy, but it was necessary. It was the best thing I could do. I highly, strongly recommend At Home Veterinary Services. I thank their staff from the bottom of my broken heart.

Highly recommend this company and service. 2nd time I have had them see / treat my kitty. The doc is great and her and the assistant handle her super gently. Super convenient and very happy with their service.

Dr. Posey was incredible and extremely professional when she came to my home to euthanize my little kitty cat, Snowflake. She made sure I knew everything she was going to do ahead of time, and made sure Snowflake was in a comfortable place in the home for the process. She took me step by step as to what was going on and ensured I was as ready as I could possibly be in the moment.

Her and her assistant were very gentle with Snowflake and gave me as much time as I needed with her. I would very much recommend At Home Veterinary Services to anyone. They were amazing and I can't thank them enough for making this difficult chapter in life so comforting and easy.

My kitty always got stressed on vet visits. That was understandable and okay when she was young, but after age 15, I no longer wanted to put her through it. That's when I met Heather and Jenn of AHVS. These ladies are WONDERFUL. Their genuine care for my cat and me as well made an impression from the first visit. Last week, at the age of nearly 18, it was time for me to let go as my sweet kitty's body was failing to cancer and old age. Heather and Jenn were there for both of us in a truly sad and difficult time. Their compassion and support was truly amazing. Thank you.

I'm so appreciative of At Home Veterinary Services. My pets get such good care. My questions are answered completely and quickly at visits, as well as via phone and email. The vets and vet techs are knowledgeable and caring. Recently, my dog collapsed at the end of a run. I was able to get him an appointment later that day-- on a Sunday. He received a thorough evaluation and tests were run. Dr. Dillon spent 40 minutes with me on the phone explaining the results on a Friday night. 40 minutes! I am incredibly grateful for everyone there!

We recently had to make the hard decision to put our beloved 18 year old cat to sleep. We wanted to make it as comfortable as possible for our kitty and wanted his final moments to be at home. Dr. Heather Dillon and her assistant Kathy came to our house and were as compassionate and sympathetic as anyone could possibly hope for, they were exactly the right people to help us through.

They spent some time with us just talking, and we were able to put our complete trust in them. They were so kind to us and our cat, they made his passing so humane and easy for him. Even though it was a difficult thing to do, we knew we had made the right decision and the experience could not have been better. We truly appreciate their kindness and compassion.

The care I receive from At Home Vet is almost too difficult to put into words. I have never experienced such warmth, such thorough care, such empathy, such kindness, such presence and such responsiveness from any vet in the 20 plus years I have used vet services for my little ones. Taking the stress out of having to transport my three cats to the vet, and feeling like the level of interaction I receive is so much more personal with a house call, are both invaluable services.

My experiences with Dr. Heather Dillon and Louise Mesher, as well as with some of the vet techs, have been nothing short of incredible. They simply go above and beyond in every manner. Dr. Dillon goes out of her way to call me when I need follow up and am worried about the results of a blood panel or test, even if it means calling me late upon my request. I am utterly grateful for your services and for you. You truly are part of my cats' family.

My older dogs have mobility problems so getting them to the vet now is impossible. At home veterinary services was a godsend. They are so compassionate and caring they make it difficult situation as easy as possible.

I cannot thank Dr. Posey and Katie enough for helping my beautiful Ranger. My best friend left us lovingly and peacefully on 12/21/2015. They were so compassionate, took as much time as we needed, helped my boy pass in the most loving and calm way I ever dreamed possible. Ranger was the sweetest German Shepherd in the world. He was loved by everyone he met.

He was such a nervous guy and absolutely hated going to the vet. When Dr. Posey came into his life he instantly took to her. He was never nervous about his care again (except he would never enjoy a good nail trim). I can't say enough good about the care he received and how wonderful everyone I had contact with during Ranger's journey were. Thank you from the bottom of my broken heart Dr. Posey, Katie, Jenn, Ryan and Angie...you have been more than awesome to us and our boy.

We can't thank you enough for your compassion, all the ways you tried to help Ranger until he decided it was time to rest, but I really appreciate how much you saved my boy from so much stress by coming to our home where he felt comfortable, secure and loved. What a wonderful service to provide! Thank you again. You are forever in my heart.

We would like to thank you so very much for the loving care you provided while helping Bob leave this world. Your support, compassion and gentle kindness were so very appreciated and it was so beautiful to see Bob go with peace and dignity. We are so grateful to have found you and so very glad you were part of our lives at a time when we needed someone who understood and respected our wishes and decisions. You are both amazing people and our beloved animals are so very lucky for the care and expertise you bring to your work.

We are so very happy that we asked Louise Mesher to come to our home to treat our beloved cat Sushi. We have come to think the world of her! She is a real vet, who takes her profession seriously, and shows a true compassion for animals. The service we have had has been so thorough, and so humane. Louise is a very dedicated doctor, who had trouble sleeping because she couldn't stop trying to find a solution to our cat's problem.

She and her assistant, Jennifer, were so kind and friendly while treating Sushi, that it kept her quite calm during some unpleasant procedures. She was very encouraging when giving us instructions on how to continue treatment ourselves. It has been easy to communicate with her whenever we have had questions, and to arrange for follow-up appointments.

We feel that our costs have not been unreasonable, especially when compared to treatment at a clinic, requiring overnight stays. We have been recommending Louise to our friends and family, as the most comforting way to have a beloved pet taken care of. We think it has been the best way to go, for our cat, and for us.

Unfortunately for all of the other Vets out there in the world, you have set a new standard for us with respect to Vet care and yes, we will travel 2600+ miles for our pets to receive your care.
