Our two ridgeback puppies George and June were shopping for a new vet after a terrible experience at Germantown veterinary clinic. (George and June were given an incorrect vaccine by a vet without a doctor present and without getting check up after our Germantown vet told us to monitor swollen lymph nodes - Germantown vet administered the wrong vaccine after getting a birthday wrong - see my google review for Germantown Vet Clinic). Fox Chapel Animal Hospital was perfect.
The opposite of Germantown Vet Clinic in every way. George and June met Dr. Chris and received a thorough exam before their vaccine. Unlike Germantown vet, Dr. Chris at Fox Chapel took many notes during our near 30 minute discussion about everything from feeding to toenails to playing in the heat. Instead of pushing for us to do treatment and services for the dogs - at times Dr. Chris said that the best treatment was to let it heal on its own.
That showed honesty and straightforwardness that puts the health of the animals over profits - a completely different feeling than Germantown Vet Clinic. When we asked about Lepto vaccine and Lyme's disease, Dr. Chris first concern was about how many dogs have a reaction to the Lepto vaccine - educating us - and also letting us know that they reduce the risk while not guaranteeing against it. Dr. Chris and the rest of the staff accommodated George and June and reacted to the information that we provided about recent vomiting, a skin issue, and when to administer vaccines.
After hearing about recent vomiting Dr. Chris immediately performed a complete physical exam - which was not scheduled. Extremely patient with all of our questions. On a Friday afternoon. They took us early - our appointment was at 530 - we were seen at 520 and spoke until 610. The patience, friendliness, knowledge, professionalism, and honesty from a veterinarian is an impressive combination and one that George and June will be happy with for years to come.
After our experience with Germantown Vet Clinic we felt that George and June had not had a health check by a professional in several weeks - during a time when they are just 2-3 month old puppies. Thank you Fox Chapel Animal Hospital for taking care of George and June with such thorough care - you could not have been more perfect at just the right time.

If you are looking for knowledgeable vets who love animals, this is your place! I was nervous finding a vet when I moved to MD because I have pit bull and have had issues with vets being scared of him in the past, even though he is a sweet baby. All the staff here are amazing and so knowledgable. They answers all your questions and thoroughly explain treatment plans and preventive measures you can take to keep your animals healthy.

My 6 year old bichon was crying in agony and I was a total mess. He has not once been sick or even had low energy. I brought him here in hopes we can find out what was wrong and Dr Cris was soooooooo amazing. He was informative and so CARING! He went above and beyond for my dog that was hurting and I cannot thank him enough. He was so personable and put my mind at total ease.
I've been to other veterinarians for check ups and the service was sub par. However, here at Fox Chapel everything went great, especially being such an unfortunate situation. Marley is feeling much better and I am happy we found the source and so quickly! Front desk was amazing as well

My sister and I have been going to this animal hospital for 7 years now! We brought our now senior dog to this vet when she was about 1 year old and they couldn't have been anymore amazing then they are now. When our dog got Lyme disease it was very scary and we had no clue what to do and where to bring her. My sister was looking for a vet that was close by and closed a bit later due to her working hours and that's when we found fox chapel.
Our dogs limbs were swollen and we could barely pick her up without letting out loud cries of pain. Once we brought her in, Dr. Armie was so helpful and very reassuring about everything. This was a long time ago but the doctors helped us so much in setting up our wellness plans and doing their best in explaining everything to us down to the T! I am forever grateful because they truly helped my sister and I when we had no clue what to do since minnie was our first dog at the time.
We eventually got a cat a few years after getting our dog, and we also take her here too! They always answer our questions and any concerns we have for our animals and always give us suggestions and recommendations.

We initially went with a groupon for our dog who was sick. Our pitbull DeeOhGhee had lymphoma and sadly he passed. Dr. Armie and Dr. Stan Escano are both wonderful and very knowledgeable vets! They both were there went we had to put our baby boy to sleep gave us time to say goodbye and gave us time after as we mourned. We then brought our cats to them as well. Months down the line our very nice friends gave us our new baby girl chocolate lab named Lady Alexandra ovechkin, they are all wonderful and so sweet.
All the staff here are here because they love animals! It's so nice and they have cute dogs themselves! They are beyond nice and wonderful they make you feel like family! Love it so much and always recommend family, my uncle takes his dog here as well! Pictures are of our dogs there and cats (not there they are terrors and spawns of satan at vets) (which they are awesome and very nice to the cats )

This is the best vet I've ever been to! Dctor Armie Escano is amazing and i can't ever thank her enough, she saved my dog life! she truly cares for the animals when everyone else turned their backs on my dog because i didn't have the money to pay for surgery, she didn't, she was truly concern for my dog, if it wasn't for her my dog would have died that same day. she is truly amazing person and the staff is amazing and so kind as well and i highly recommend this vet they are so kind and so heartwarming. i'm forever grateful to have found this place!

A friend recommended Fox Chapel and I'm SO glad they did! Everyone on staff is friendly, caring, and knowledgable. Both Dr. Armie and Dr. Cris saw my senior dog and made him feel very comfortable during visits for his exam, procedure, and follow-up. I really can't say enough good things about this team!

Recently my four year old cat collapsed and was in severe pain and unable to walk. My cat had developed a Fetal Aortic Thromboembolism, a clot in her rear leg. As soon as we arrived we were escorted to an examination room. Dr. Chris and Dr. Armie were both on site at the time. They were so thorough and wonderful to us and our cat. They quickly alleviated her pain, and began her treatment.
Two days later we were able to bring her home. The whole staff is wonderful there. We were allowed to visit her and spend time with her in the back for as long as we wanted. They were very quick to notify us by phone of her condition and any changes. If you are in need of any emergency care or veterinarian care please don't hesitate to go to this hospital. The doctors there go above and beyond and are absolutely wonderful! Thank you to Dr. Chris and Dr. Armie and all of the staff at Fox Chapel Animal Hospital!

Everyone on staff are friendly and kind and they really do care. Dr. Armie Escano I would recommend her very highly she kind to cat shadow she answers all of my questions concerning the surgery every step of the way ; I like that about a doctor. They even call me to find out how she was doing. I thought that was very nice of them.

Easily one of the best vet experiences I've had. Usually a vet's office gives off a similar vibe to a doctor's office and it isn't very comfortable. This place has a lot of personality and is very warm and welcoming. Staff is knowledgeable and helpful and the vet was one of the sweetest animal lovers I've met. Definitely recommended.

I called Fox Chapel on a Sunday trying to find a vet locally that offered urgent appointments. I was worried about having to spend a ridiculous amount of money but knew my dog needed to be seen. They offered me an appointment within 45 minutes, saying I may need to wait but they would fit me in. Not only was there no wait, but the staff and vet were all amazing!
The cost of the visit was extremely reasonable, for once I did not feel like someone was trying to add on all these extra unneeded items to raise the cost of care. The vet even brought up some things that our current vet has not regarding her known heart murmur. For these reasons I am considering changing my vet to them now! Many thanks for the great care!!
