Diagnostic and Therapeutic Services: Our hospital is equipped to provide diagnostic and therapeutic services to care for your pets' complete health care needs.

Surgical Services: LVH provides routine and specialty surgical services for your pet's needs. We maintain the highest standards of equipment and technique to minimize risks of complications. Surgical procedures that require a specialist are done at LVH by one of the board certified surgeons from Veterinary Surgical Specialists. This makes top surgeons available to you without the need for a referral to a different hospital.

Anesthesia: We utilize the safest available anesthetics and equipment to provide an extra margin of safety, especially for our older or high-risk patients and our smaller dogs and cats. Using the most modern equipment, the patient's vital signs are monitored during all anesthetic procedures. We routinely monitor their blood pressure, EKG, heartrate, temperature, respiratory rate, O2 (pulse oximetry) and CO2 levels.

Ultrasound and Echocardiography: We have an on-site ultrasound for advanced diagnostic capablities and echocardiography, which can avoid long delays in referral appointments with specialists.

I cannot say enough about how well Dr. Heather and her staff take care of all animals, as well as how much they truly care about the animals and their families. I have sent numerous friends to Lakeland Veterinary Hospital, and they are always amazed about how well their animals are cared for. Some of them were last minute additions because they could not get into their regular vet due to vets being so overwhelmed during the covid crisis.

One one occasion they not only saw the dog but saved his life by getting him the urgent care he needed. My own experience was an emergency C-section. Not only did the pups and mom survive but we never felt like we were inconveniencing them at all. However, after being a tech for over 30 years, I know this alters everyone's day - rescheduling patients, moving staff around to help with the surgery, other doctors and techs fitting in the animals with medical issues that could not wait to be seen. An emergency like this throws the whole clinic off. Again, they handled it flawlessly and we never knew what was happening in the background. If I could give them 10 stars I would!

It's been difficult to find veterinarians in the TC who were available for surgery for my dog's chipped tooth. They were able to schedule me for a surgery four weeks out (her normal vet was booked for another 4 months!) It is a drive from TC but staff were very friendly and accommodating to my little anxious noodle of a dog. Thank you for taking wonderful care of Pepper!

My dog was brought here because she was limping and couldn't walk well. The veterinarian suspected it was arthritis and prescribed her pain medicine. She told us to follow-up with them if she did not improve. We called about a week later because the pain killers did not help, and we suspected something else was at play. The receptionist told us the vet would get back to us and she never did. My dog passed away a few weeks later. Absolutely terrible. I wouldn't take your pets here if you care about them or their well-being.

Heather and her team are amazing! They handled my 9 week old shepinois puppy with such ease and professionalism, made her feel comfortable (so much so, that I think she might just LIKE the vet rather than being afraid!). They know just what to do to keep my pup healthy and to take care of any issues. and everyone is just so sweet to the pups. This was a wonderful experience and we are happy to have found such a caring team to help keep our pup in good health! Thanks all!

Highly recommend. The Doctors and staff have been great as they took care of our dog into his older years and to the eventual goodbye. Every step of the way the team here were caring, professional, and top notch. You can find Vets with bigger and fancier locations, but you can't find one that does the job better than the team here.

I've been taking my furry family here for over 10 years. The care my kids have received is beyond exceptional. They explain procedures, treatment options, medications, etc. so well, and make sure you understand everything completely. They don't perform any unnecessary tests or x-rays, are conservative with their vaccines, and they spend all the time necessary to take care of your pet.

You will never feel rushed. The entire staff is completely dedicated, and you can tell they love what they do. I live up north now, but make the 3.5 hour drive to make sure my kids get the best care. I recommend them to everyone who has furry friends. They're the best!

Every single staff member was kind, patient and caring with our nervous dog. They took time letting her get comfortable, and answering our questions. By the end of our appointment our shy puppy was having so much fun she didn't want to leave!

Our dog was going to a different vet clinic before this one with extreme itching. The other vets told us it was allergies and wanted us to spend tons of money to figure it out. We switched to this vet hospital and as soon as Dr. Heather looked at her, she knew exactly what it was and it was a simple fix. She had too much yeast on her skin which was causing the itching. She gave us some creams to put on our dog and her itching was cured. They are all very knowledgeable at this clinic. 10/10

I love this place! They are caring, respectful and definitely love their patients. They are great at educating pet parents, and are direct yet compassionate when delivering hard news. Lakeland Veterinary Hospital has been my choice for more than 25 years, and will be for as long as I have pets.

The vet and vet tech were so good and nice to my dog. I like that they didn't push any drugs/tests/vaccines and left it up to me to make a responsible informed decision.

I am so thankful that I was able to find such a great vet for my dog Daisy! The staff is so friendly and helpful, they go the extra mile. Daisy split her nail open and they were able to fit me in and get her all bandaged up and feeling better. It's so great because they always call to follow up and make sure she is doing well. Thank you Lakeland vet!

I have used Lakeland Vet for 20+ years. Dr Heather, who started last year, is wonderful. The clinic staff is always friendly, efficient and the best. We recently had to put our 18 yr old dog to sleep and they each offered comfort during this ordeal. We also receive a card with signatures of all the staff. They really care about each and every pet that ones there. That's the same kind of care we got from the previous vet also, and that makes us know that they will do whatever they can to fix whatever is wrong with your pet.
