Dr.Marsha Cashwell
Founder
In 1980, Dr. Cashwell graduated from the Auburn University School of Veterinary Medicine. She practiced at a hospital in Jacksonville, Florida, then Fayetteville, North Carolina, before returning to practice near her home town of Hurtsboro. In 1983, Dr Cashwell opened Central Animal Hospital on Old Opelika Road. In 1991 the practice was renamed and moved to our present location. The new facility earned Dr. Cashwell an Honorable Mention for Hospital Design in a nationwide competition
When she's not working, she enjoys: riding and playing with her horses and dogs, cheering on her son, Cash, playing soccer, attending plays at the theater with her daughter Erin (especially those Erin is in!) and sailing with her husband, Jim.

My little boy has been a patient at Companion Animal Hospital since he was 5 months old. the staff is awesome and for the most part, seems very concerned and compassinate.
Dr. Cashwell is wonderful with my extra active and hyper little one. When ever I have a problem or a concern, everyone is eager to help.

I have an Aussie/Lab mix who had one really bad vet experience as a puppy that scarred him. Ever since, he’s always feared the vet and I’ve dreaded taking him. Companion Animal Hospital absolutely changed that. He is still nervous sometimes about being touched with the stethoscope but we have NEVER had positive vet experiences until we came here! Lu loves Dr. Cashwell (war eagle!) and the vet techs are incredible! Everyone is so patient with him even when he gets anxious. I highly recommend!

I am so thankful to this practice and all they do for the animals adopted from Russell County. They treat them just as special as any long time client and take excellent care of all the rescued doggies I have been to them with. Thank you so much from Doobie this week .She is doing great after her spay this week! She acted like nothing had even happened.

Hands down, best Vet Clinic I've ever been too!! Took my 2 babies for their 1 year check-ups and annual vaccines today. 1 cat is a social butterfly and the other is a shy, hermit crab. The staff went above and beyond to ensure both kitties were comfortable and happy (as they could be) during the exam. I was impressed with how thorough the exams were and how friendly Dr. Davis and Amanda were. They were very patient, which isn't always easy when you have nervous kitties. Will definitely be my permanent vet clinic from now on!
