They helped me with my cat who needed to be put down and with neutering my kittens. Very patient with my questions and helpful. Prices are reasonable, not as much as some vets in Elk Grove charge. Service is 5 stars. So glad there's a local vet I can trust so I don't have to cry out of guilt after listening to the meows coming from the carrier for 20 minutes.

This vet was highly recommended to us but so far I have been disappointed. The first instance I called ahead and made an appointment for my 3 dogs so they could get health checks. They were almost an hour late. Then they wouldn't take my 2 year old Great Dane because she's wary of people, even though I had discussed it with the receptionist when I made the appointment AND bought a sturdy muzzle, and picked up tranquilizers from them for her to take in advance of the appointment.
After all that they decided they wouldn't take her! It was incredibly inconvenient to be told I would have to find another vet for one of my three dogs after making specific arrangements regarding my dog. I tried to be understanding, maybe the two little old lady receptionists aren't comfortable with big dogs. Whatever. The second time, my dog got an ear hematoma in the middle of the night.
I called them the next morning (Friday) to schedule the soonest available appointment. They said they could take him Monday at 9, and that it shouldn't be more than $200, mayyybe $250. Great! Monday at 8:20 they call to cancel because they won't have a vet in the office. ok. They reschedule for Wednesday. If I could have afforded any of the nearby emergency hospitals I would have taken him elsewhere at this point but I'm a single mom and it's the holidays. but I digress.
On Wednesday, they also want me to make an extra trip to pick up a sedative for this dog, a 60 lb sweet as sugar Aussie mix. Ok, whatever, I just want to get my dog help. I pick up the meds and arrive back at the vet 15 min early by accident, as I had to bring my 6 month old daughter and it can be hard to get out of the house on time with a baby, I figured it would be better to be early than to be late and throw off their whole schedule.
The receptionist actually criticized me for being early when I called to let them know I had arrived, so I said it was no problem to wait. 15 min later at my designated appointment time, someone else was ahead of me and they were running late. I said no problem and waited 15 min more. 30 min waiting total, but I was early so I tried to be patient.
Then the nurse walks out another dog to return to its owner and they STAND AND CHAT for no less than 15 more min about the dog getting older and needing chondroitin, blah blah blah, during which time my daughter starts to cry inconsolably. Now, I understand an after appointment summary but she could have easily done a phone follow up, especially considering that at this point, after 45 min of waiting to DROP OFF MY DOG, you could hear my daughter screaming from outside the car.
I asked the woman chatting if she could take my dog now, or perhaps have been more considerate of the fact that I spent 45 min sitting in a car with a sick dog and a screaming 6 month old. The receptionist came out and threatened not to help my dog! No apologies for their lack of consideration or lateness! And to top it all off their quote was $650-$750, nowhere near the $250 I was originally quoted. I was treated poorly, rescheduled, and misquoted. I will certainly be finding another vet.

I have been taking my dogs past and present to Dr Bailey and staff Thalia and Margo since moving here in 1990. The care I have received has always been excellent including many teary goodbyes that were met in turn with compassion and empathy. But our most recent situation, dr Bailey saved my little Boston Terriers age 4 life. We brought him in without an appointment in severe pain and found out his stomach had twisted which is a deadly situation.
Surgery would have to be done in Sacramento. The Dr called for us to find out the cost, which was $4,000-$7000. This was not an option for us which faced us with a difficult decision. She saw our pain and said she was willing to try and do the surgery, but no promises. We agreed. She then talked to Dr. Eaton who also works there on different days.
They decided to try to turn the dog and try to manipulate the stomach back into place. So about an hour of turning and stomach massage she got in back in position. Luckily no other organs suffered any damage. Our little dog is doing great now thanks to a vet and staff that go the extra mile.

I've been taking my cats and dogs here for years. They always take the best care of them and are very friendly and courteous. They know them by name, are easy to get a hold of and easy to schedule appointments with. Wait time is minimal and they're always sure to be quick and careful so that my animals feel at ease. Thank you for providing a great veterinary experience even when the vets isn't the place you want to end up. My animals don't know it, but they're very thankful for the care they receive.

I came here after moving to Galt a few years ago. Staff is very nice and knowledgeable. Anytime there has been something with my cats I didn't understand the doctors/vets and tech explain it very well. I took both my adult cats here through the end of the lives. Now that I have two new kittens they will be coming here as well.

This is a bit hard to find, but I was really really pleased with the exam, explanations, time spent with my new cats and with me. The vet even gave the kittens two of their meds I didn't feel comfortable giving. I didn't even tell her. She read me as well as my new kittens. The kittens were gotten from a reputable pound. They had FLEAS, and upper respiratory infections with one kitten having oozing eyes. ? Worms ( I insisted on a dewormer), no extra tests pushed, and the price was quite reasonable.
No bad words from them about the place I got them. Everybody helped and were so nice and calm. I love this place!!! And I have been to 5 desperate vets since coming to CA. Best hands down!!

My husband decided to take our pets to this vet instead of the one I usually go to. While the vet services are ok, the front desk help is terrible. I walked in to the office to pick up preordered meds for my dogs, wasn't greeted at all, stood at the front counter until someone noticed me, only to be told they were helping someone else. I told them I would wait.
Little did I know that I would be waiting in the front for almost 40 minutes, without being acknowledged. My husband was in the area and finally popped in to see what was taking me so long, and let the front desk lady know that she had been ignoring me. I finally left and let him pick up the meds. Even though my pets got good care when they were there, the front desk people don't seem to have the same regard for their human counterparts. I won't go back. There are plenty of other good vets in the area that offer good customer service, too.

I just want to say how wonderful they were with my dotty (chihuahua rescue) not only did they make me feel comfortable with leavIng her to get fixed. But over the weekend Dottie tore her spot open, when i walked in Monday morning they said we will take care of it, they kept her all day to watch her free of charge. And when we picked miss Dottie up that night she was all better!
Great customer service and they took all my phone calls and questions with a friendly tone!! And Thelya (might have mispelled) was the sweetest lady ever! Her persona and all around way with me and dotty was great!!

We have only been using Dry Creek Vet for about a year but they have to be the nicest people around, . We lost our Vet a few years ago to an unexpected death and thought we would never find another one to replace her. Well we have found a group of ladles at Dry Creek Vet that can't be beat. They will always greet you with a friendly hello and warm smile.
I had a rebate coming to me from a product I had purchased and they kept dragging their heels but thanks to Margo who went about and beyond I got that rebate. Thank you Dry Creek Vet for taking care of our fur babies and making us happy once again to find a vet and staff we can trust and feel comfortable with. I HIGHLY recommend going to ANY other vet! My dog was perfectly healthy until I had her spayed here. Ever since then, she leaks urine! I've had her tested a few different times for UTI, blood test etc. and all results show its because the vet didn't know what she was doing when she spayed my baby! On top of that, when she was in the surgery, I got several phone calls from the vet with a severe attitude towards myself, she tried to pressure me into spending $200 on pain medicine, which I could not afford, and I informed her of this and she responded by hanging up on me!
I was in tears thinking that something was going to happen to my dog because the vet had a problem with me! For all I know, she messed up my poor baby on purpose : I would never go here again even if she was the last vet on earth!

Staff is nice and friendly, but really question their professional judgement and advice. We now take our pets to Cherokee vet in Lodi. Great staff that really care about your pets and their owners. They are very reasonable and provide great service. They are sincere and truthful and do not put the pet and their owners thru unnecessary suffering and grief.

Dry Creek Vet has a beautiful atmosphere w/ friendly employees. Dr. Bailey is highly educated and shares information with those who are unaware of diseases / consequences that may occur to our beloved pets. The staff are very compassionate and informative. The prices are equivalent and affordable, especially during this tough economical time. My sincere recommendations to Dry Creek Vet Hospital.
