They have very rude staff. I am very upset with their service. I have been bringing my puppy in for months now! With the same continuous symptoms of being tired, dehydrated and having no appetite. What do they do? They push her symptoms to the side and say she is fine and just a picky eater. What 10 month puppy is a picky eater and just tired all the time!?
Well I ended up spending over $1000 dollars within one month of coming in with the same symptoms and then telling me she is fine! I am disgusted with how they don't actually listen to you at all! They obviously just seem to care about profit over pet. Never coming back here

The drs here are good, but the staff tends to be rude and this place is rlly expensive. If you wanna go to a vet that feels like an expensive and exclusive club, go to them. If you're looking for a friendly and enjoyable experience definitely go elsewhere. I asked the front desk for some records on my cat and she literally said they were a few years old so the records are irrelevant? I didn't ask you for your opinion, i asked you to send my cats medical records to my new vet. Miserable.

We have been going to North Paws as well as West Paws (recently closed) for over 16 years. Dr. Paradise has treated my very old and very young dogs over the years. We have always had 3 dogs. I have nothing but positive things to say. The care and compassion has truly been and remains remarkable. I will never ever forget calling Dr Paradise when it came time to euthanize our Corgi.
I was sitting on the backseat and our Corgi had finally fell asleep on me and was so sound asleep, I asked Dr Paradise if he could come to our car to do the euthanasia and he accepted no problem. Truly an exceptional person. Their vet techs are awesome. They have always been extremely accommodating in times of emergencies even when incredibly busy.
I have never felt like I was pushed to do unnecessary tests like at multiple other vets. I also find their rates very fair. They are very busy and one has to plan ahead to schedule an appointment. We wouldn't go anywhere else. They unfortunately no longer see emergencies after hours. Needless to say, I highly recommend them.

We have been going to North Paws for over 5 years now. The staff are knowledgeable and friendly. We had our dear cat sick for some time and they explained all treatment options with pricing to allow us to make the right choices for our family pet. When the time came to put her to sleep the staff was compassionate and caring. We now have two new kittens and just went for our initial visit. The care from start to finish was excellent! I would definitely recommend North Paws!

I've been taking my four legged family members to North Paws for years. the staff is professional and friendly. Dr. Dyer is the best ever. He really cares about his patients and always has the time to explain in terms we understand what's wrong if anything with our four legged family members. North paws is second to none and I would not consider going to any other vet. Ann M Rotondi

I have always had very positive experiences with NorthPaws. I've had three different dogs I have brought here. I started with Dr. Mark Paradise, the owner and he truly had a true love for animals. I remember one time, I was laid off my job and he charged me a very small fee for an infection my dog had. Yesterday, I took my 15 year old Vizsla for his annual check up. Dr. Connolly is very thorough. No complaints, just good things to say about this place.

NorthPaws rocks!! I took my chihuahua here for a wellness check as well as to update vaccines. The whole process was simple, our tech Rhea made sure to answer allllll of my random curiosities and Dr. Vasquez was so patient and gentle. In a world of employees who don't plainly don't care, NorthPaws was a very professional breath of fresh air. Also not too expensive for basic care. Thank you NorthPaws, as long as I live in RI this will be Molly's vet.

We absolutely LOVE North Paws, they staff is kind, compassionate and does truly care about the pets we see. We take our new puppy Buddy the care and kindness they provide is unparalleled. Buddy was a rescue who had multiple health issues, he treated so kindly, thoroughly & carefully and he is a thriving happy (spoiled) dog now! We have seen Dr.
Mark Paradise, Danielle Paradise and Dr. Fourtier, all of whom are just amazing! I couldn't and wouldn't dream of taking Buddy anywhere else. To add, sadly, 2 years ago we had to put last dog to rest down due to a rare back disorder Dr. Danielle Paradise diagnosed and she was with us every single step of the way, she went way above and beyond anything I could ever even image.
She was so kind and caring and with us when we had to put our big guy to rest. I will forever be in her debt for the kindness and compassion she showed us at such a difficult time. So for us, North Paws is the ONLY place we trust! And a long overdue THANK YOU TO ALL THE Dr's and STAFF.

This is the best veterinary hospital center in New England. Everyone is soooo kind to Zoe, my Bichon Frise, who is eight years old. Helpful, thorough, kind, gentle. Need I say more? Dr. Paradise is the perfect vet. He must be a wonderful father. And the office reminds you of appointments and when shots are due! Their newsletter is fun and interesting, too. Thanks to all the doctors and professional staff for making North Paws a wonderful place for our animals. You are as important as a pediatrician.

Absolutely the BEST OF THE BEST!I recently found this vet a bit over a year ago and they are like a dream come true! They even helped to get my dog from my car to get him into the office since he is reluctant to get out of the car. They are the most caring vet facility in the state of Rhode Island I am positive that they are the best and likewise the only facility that offers top notch care while treating your aging dog with utmost dignity and respect.
They treated my dog as if it was their own. They are very fairly priced not highly expensive like other vet facilities. They have a state of the art emergency after hours appointment with angelic caring staff. My Turbo loves them because he senses their professionalism and their caring.I drive 45 minutes to get here because it really is paradise. The reception area is comfortable and my senior dog prefers a comfy plush nicely cushioned environment.By the way if you have an emergency the way they fit you right in very quickly is very facilitative and they will not put you on hold if it is an emergency. North paws is paradise for dogs!

We recently moved to RI from the west coast, and hadn't found a vet yet. Last night, my dog was acting pretty ill, so I knew we had to take her somewhere. What a blessing this place was. First- they were open, and are open emergency hours. Second- someone always answers the phone. Third- I called at 6:30p, and "emergency hours" start after 7. The gal was kind enough to offer me their last non-emergency appointment of the evening....
She totally could have told me that I had to pay the emergency rate. What a nice honest bunch of people. It is sad that we needed an emergency to find our vet- but such a blessing that we stumbled upon such a wonderful place.

Kind, compassionate, and thorough. The facility is not only clean but bright and cheerful. My family has been taking our dogs there since we moved to Smithfield over 10 years ago. They have a private entrance/exit for people who are there to put their pets to sleep -which shows true compassion. I recently brought my cat there for the first time and was treated extremely well by the tech and Dr. Connolly.
My cat was given a thorough exam, however, it was difficult to diagnosis the cause of her symptoms. I had a lot of options and a lot to think about, but they made the process so easy for me. They took the time to come up with a variety of options and spelled out the cost for all/some and then gave a series of recommendations. I liked that I was given honest options and control.
My kitty is doing much better! After a week the tech called to inquire about my cat and check in. I will definitely be bringing both my cats here in the future for check-ups, vaccinations, etc.

I really like this place. My cat Tsunami is not by any stretch an easy patient (he usually has to be sedated even for a check-up), but the staff here are kind, gentle, and respectful regardless. I had a positive experience with Dr. Connolly when my cat suddenly got sick and needed fluids, and had a very positive experience with vet tech Chelsie. Chelsie listened closely to what I described, took notes on everything, and asked relevant questions -- She clearly was processing what I was saying and paying attention to the details, in spite of Tsunami being a complete brat.
I've been meaning to write this review for a while, but I was reminded of it by an interaction I had today. I sent NorthPaws a message on their website at 11:48 this morning saying that I was moving this weekend, and provided my new address. Less than 20 minutes later I had a response from Beth thanking me for the update, letting me know she'd update it in the system, and wishing me good luck with the move.
Wish it were that easy to update my address everywhere else. I also love the phone call check-ins they do when your pet is ill, the email appointment reminders (and happy birthday messages for Tsunami), and the beautiful building.

Went to see vet as a secondary opinion for my Golden's "bad knee." Walking in my dog felt (or appeared) comfortable with the setting. Friendly staff and clean space. Met with Dr. Paradise, whom was very kind to both my dog and myself. Right off the bat he knew my dogs acl (or ccl) was torn. Where at the other vet they were going to put him under for X-rays.
In explaining the injury he drew a picture. After going through the options he made it clear that surgery was not the only way to fix this and many ppl choose not to. Especially in my case where my dog does not seem to be in much pain. He was very reassuring with my decision. I have already changed vets and will be going to North Paws with all my animals. Prices may be more, but worth it at the end of the day.

We recently lost our beloved cat, Mimi. It was a very difficult ordeal, but the staff at North Paws went the extra mile to make sure Mimi was taken care of and to assist with her euthanasia. As stressful as the situation was, we were treated wonderful. Today, we received a sympathy card with our cat's paw prints included. Very heartfelt and such a wonderful thing to do. We will forever be touched by the caring and kindness of the staff at North Paws. Thank you!

Dr.Dyer and Dr.Servasio have always been so caring to my Budgie Banana. I won't go anywhere else, I couldn't ask for a more understanding and patient staff as well. It's hard to feel comfortable having a small bird at the vet; but I can tell that everyone there cares about my bird and his well being. It's nice to know that every animal is treated with the same respect and love! In the future I will be bringing my dog for visits!
