Exclusively Cats Veterinary Hospital is a full-service veterinary facility that offers advanced medical care, including internal medicine, surgery, behavioral counseling, dentistry, and radioactive iodine treatment. The staff of Exclusively Cats Veterinary Hospital believes in providing each patient with gentle, compassionate medical care coupled with superior customer service. Your companion will always be given our absolute best, whether he or she is hospitalized for extended treatments or just stopping by to check a body weight.
At ECVH, we do everything we can to help cat owners and their cats enjoy a long and healthy relationship. As soon as you bring your kitten home, we recommend that you set up an appointment for a health exam and the vaccinations needed to provide protection from diseases such as rabies and distemper. It is important to make sure that your new cat is checked for viral diseases like Feline Leukemia, or parasites such as fleas before introducing him or her to any pets that you already have. We recommend that any healthy kitten who will not be bred should have a spay or neuter surgery performed after three months of age in order to prevent unwanted pregnancies. This surgery will also help prevent behavioral issues and certain cancers.
We recommend that you maintain a regular schedule of annual wellness exams with us as your kitten grows. At each appointment, we will review your cat's current diet and medications and make personalized recommendations for vaccinations and parasite preventive measures. Additionally, we discuss aspects of your cat's behavior and litterbox usage and our doctors perform a thorough physical exam including examination of your cat's skin, eyes, ears and mouth for signs of disease. A dental examination is crucial, as many cat owners are not able to provide dental care for their pets at home. Without regular routine dental cleanings (prophylaxis) , cats can suffer from loose or missing teeth, tooth abscesses and infections that could lead to serious eating problems and health disorders.
In addition to annual wellness visits, we recommend that you call us to schedule a medical visit if you ever notice any unusual behaviors or symptoms such as vomiting, diarrhea, poor appetite or weight loss, limping, difficulty breathing, or litter box issues such as urinating or defecating outside the box, using the litterbox frequently or vocalizing while using the litterbox. Our extensive in-house x-ray, ultrasound, video otoscopy and laboratory services allow us to efficiently and economically diagnose and treat a wide range of cat illnesses. In addition to spay and neuter surgeries, we perform other types of cat surgery including dental surgery and root canal therapy, bladder stone removal, foreign object removal, mass removals and more.
Our veterinary practice also provides geriatric cat care for senior feline companions. Ours is one of the few veterinary hospitals in eastern Michigan that can provide radioactive iodine 131 treatments. Radioactive iodine 131 treatment (also known as I131 or Radioiodine therapy) is an alternative to daily medication or surgery that effectively cures feline hyperthyroidism. While your cat recuperates from the procedure in our radioactive iodine facility, our staff will closely monitor it and provide plenty of loving attention.
If you are planning a vacation, remodeling your house or otherwise concerned that your cat needs observation or medication that you cannot provide due to your schedule, our boarding services are a great option. Your cat will have a comfortable bed, regular exercise time and lots of attention. For those cats that cannot be groomed at a regular grooming facility, our clinic also offers gentle cat grooming under anesthesia to help maintain your cat's beautiful coat.

Take your cats here! If you are reading reviews then I assume you are looking for recommendations and giving consideration to bringing your cat to Exclusively Cats. As a responsible pet owner who loved and adored my cat, I did the same thing. I spent days scrolling through reviews and I can absolutely assure you that you and your cat will be in the best of hands when you are at eCats. You will not regret taking your furbaby there. My cat was ill and eCats was my third opinion and I wish they had been my first. The previous 2 vets were dismissive because Whiskas was a senior (17 years old) and I was told by the previous Veterinarians that I have to expect a decline in health as they age and those other Veterinarians told me to go get ultrasounds elsewhere (they couldn't provide that) if I was that concerned and then come back when I got the results. Every place I called that could do ultrasounds had at least a 3 month wait. My little girl could not wait 3 months. eCats got me in within 1 week of calling and didn't even need an ultrasoundu to diagnose her illness. They spent over an hour with me during that first consultation and we had a game plan before I left the office. Because of her age and heart murmur putting her under anesthesia and doing biopsies was not an option but based on her symptoms and their years of knowledge and expertise they suspected small cell intestinal lymphoma and treated her based on that diagnosis and within 2 weeks of treatment her symptoms were gone. She was back to her happy and healthy self again with no issues. Everyone in the office (Doctors, Vet Technicians, and Office Management/Reception) was always so kind and attentive and showed a sincere and genuine care for her well being. That kindness and attentiveness helped tremendously towards alleviating the stress and anxiety of both myself and my cat as we underwent the treatment. Do not think twice about bringing your cat here. It'll be the best thing you can do for him/her.

My heartfelt thanks to Exclusively Cats for saving my little baby girls life. Extremely caring and concerned. The front office staff is the very best. They always seem to have the time to see my cats, no matter what the issue. You don't have to talk to an answering machine and hope for a call back because they always pick up the phone. I could drive a few miles to see my local vet, but instead I drive 50 miles for the unique care received at Exclusively Cats. If you love your pet and want the very best, then this is the place!

This place was great! My vet recommended I get a second opinion here for my cat's lameness because she hadn't responded to the meds the vet gave her. So I called for a consult and they got me in two days later. The office was quiet, clean, comfortable, and more like an office for human healthcare than any veterinary office I've ever been to. They kept my cat for several hours for examination, and the vet phoned me at home several times with updates and diagnoses.
Ultimately they suggested a course of meds that included an injectible medication that they administered the first dose of while she was there. The next day the improvement in her gait, after months of struggling, was remarkable. I believe that their model of providing cats-only care by vets with a special interest in felines made a huge difference in helping my cat feel better fast.

I have been taking my cats here for a couple years now and we always have had a positive experience here. All of the staff is friendly and the doctors are both caring and give great feedback. I can't fully express how meaningful it is to have such a comfortable and professional place to look over the health of my pets.

I took my cats here today for the first time and was very impressed! All the staff were super friendly and helpful, and Dr. Brooks was very thorough with the exam. I moved to Waterford recently and was referred here by a friend. I am so grateful to have such a high quality and cat-centric veterinary clinic in my neighborhood!

All of the staff was extremely friendly, and the doctor who saw my cat was very open with me and gave me plenty of options to help him. She taught me new things about my cat that my old vet never told me. They also made sure to be very thorough on how to properly care for my cat. Everyone made it seem like they had both his health and my best interest in mind when making any suggestions. Overall a great experience!

My otherwise healthy 10-year-old rescue cat, Merlin, was recently diagnosed with a serious dental issue requiring the removal of all his teeth except for the small incisors in front. While he did not appear to be in any obvious discomfort, Dr. Bailey's thorough explanation and x-ray evidence convinced me to go ahead with the procedure. I would not have believed Merlin could be any happier and engaging than he was before the surgery, but he is!
Already perfectly content with "wet" cat food, he was back to his blissfully active self within a day or two. I am even more convinced that it was the best thing for Merlin. I have taken my cats to Steve Bailey since 1990 and I continue to be grateful for his expertise and the extraordinary, compassionate care he and his wonderful staff have always shown my precious furry friends.

Took my cat here for the first time today for a routine check-up and vaccinations. I've never been so impressed with a veterinary office before. My cat was very thoroughly checked over and they spent time with me going over her history, past vet records, preventative medication, and anything else I could think of. After the exam I went to pay the bill and was surprised with a gift bag from the office, including a cat nip toy that my cat hasn't stopped playing with since we got home. I will definitely be recommending Exclusively Cats to anyone looking for a vet that really cares.

Fantastic office! I brought my cat here after going to my regular vet and spending a lot of money for an inconclusive diagnosis. Dr. Demos was thorough and gave me a diagnosis and medication that helped my cat within 24 hours. I will never take my cats any place else. Dr. Bailey and Dr. Demos are awesome and so is the entire staff! I received follow up calls to check in to see how my cat was doing. It's just such a great office! Highly recommended!

I've been going to Exclusively Cats for 21 years and would never go anywhere else. I've had 38 cats through those years and everyone at Ecats has been nothing but caring and helpful....it's a very clean and quiet place which is great for the cats. And just about any problem my cats have had was taken care of..and the compassion they all show when I've had to let my cats go to the Rainbow Bridge has been nothing but wonderful...I would recommend Exclusively Cats with 100% confidence to anyone who has cats...

This place is amazing... After months and months of no answers at my other vet as to why my 9 month old siamese cat had blood in her urine I was told by a co worker to go to Exclusively Cats boy am I glad I did! That day at my first appointment Dr. Brooks found bladder stones in my cat and got them out asap. Their was a few complications with a stone but Dr. Brooks and Dr. Bailey and staff were just amazing, they kept me well informed the whole time, very professional, very caring and attentive to Isis as well as very knowledgeable.
I can't thank them enough for what they did, if it wasn't for them I don't think Isis would be here because my other vet had no idea what was wrong and just kept putting her on antibiotics. Isis is doing great and I will ALWAYS take her to Exclusively Cats it is well worth the hour drive I have to make to get there. I HIGHLY recommend this place to every cat owner.
