Dr. Hany Michael, the Medical Director of Town and Country Animal Hospital, started his journey in January of 2022 with aspirations to offer something to clients that others did not by making them the “cornerstone” of his dream and operation.
Dr. Michael loves what he does and is excited to continue to grow with his hospital as well as grow a great relationship with his clients.
Dr. Michael obtained his undergrad and doctorate degrees at the Cairo University in Egypt in 2002 and later completed the United States/Canadian licensing process through AVMA/CAVMA after moving to Canada in 2012 and then to the U.S. in 2017.
Dr. Michael grew up in Cairo, Egypt with his parents and two siblings. When he was younger, Dr. Michael enjoyed playing soccer and doing anything outdoors. When asked why he wanted to be a veterinarian, Dr. Michael says, “Besides my passion for all pets, it was just God’s plan for me.”

Honestly, 5 starts is an understatement. Greatest veterinary care I've ever seen. My 2 year old frenchie broke his leg and needed surgery. The entire staff was extremely helpful is making a very stressful situation, a lot less stressful. Specifically Karina and Doctor Michael. They were helpful, informative, and maintained constant communication with me while my little guy was under their care. I can not speak highly enough of them. Would recommended this place to anyone looking for the best care available for their little family members. Thank you guys again!

Beyond impressed with Dr. Hany Michael and staff. I've honestly never met such a caring doctor. To not knowing me and my dog, Dr. Michael went out of his way to make me feel so comfortable and at ease. I have a 13-year-old beagle and have a lot of experience with veterinarians. I never leave reviews but I must say Dr. Michael is by far one of the best. Thanks again.

I don't think I can say thank you enough to Dr. Michael and his caring staff. The care and service I get is above and beyond, Dr. Michael was so caring through the toughest moments of having to say goodbye to my 16 years old Rocky. They are genuinely care for your pets and take time answer any questions or concerns that you may have. I love this place and I highly recommend it to anyone who is looking for quality care for their pets. Wouldn't go anywhere else.

I just want to start with how impressed I was with this place. Everyone was so nice, Dr. Seco and the front desk members were great. I would definitely recommend this Vet to everyone. I brought my dog in with Kidney Failure and Dr. Seco and the team really tried to help him. Even though my baby boy lost his battle, he spent his last days in great hands of people who really wanted to help him.
I regret not finding this place sooner. Not all vet appointments are routine and you can tell a lot about a person by their compassion. They felt my pain, my animals pain and sympathized with our family during this devastating time. The practice really strived on not just making my dog comfortable, they wanted to cure the incurable and for that I will always be so very grateful.

I cannot say enough good things about the vets or the girls that work there. I had to transfer my fur baby's record from another veteran. To say that task was easy it was not. Anabel went above and beyond what she had to do to get the paperwork for me. She was an absolute angel to work with and when I met her even more of an angel. The girls at the desk are so pleasant and answer any questions you have.
You don't like you are bothering any one. Dr. Michael was as nice as could be, answered every question I had and I did not feel like I was being rushed out. The office is amazing. It looks like a waiting room that would be in every doctors office. It's bright, open and very clean. I'm so glad I transferred my baby here. I feel she will get attention and loving care when I bring her in.

The staff at this vet is AMAZING especially Anabelle. I called last minute (like the day before)to board our 92 pound old English sheepdog and she did everything to accommodate us and was very helpful and friendly. I would definitely recommend this vet to anyone looking for a good place. Dr. Shaffer was great and thorough with our RUFFO and just got new customers to include our 3 other furbabies. Thank you Town and Country Animal Hospital for the perfessionalism, attentiveness, and great customer service to our needs.

Our pets have been taken care of by Dr. Shaffer and the staff at Town and Country Animal Hospital for several years. I have a bulldog that requires treatment on a monthly basis to ensure her good health. We are usually seen at the time of our appointment with minimal wait. We are treated professionally and with care. Dr. Shaffer always takes the time to meet with us and explain treatment plans and answer any questions that we have.
Not only is Dr. Shaffer a great vet but the vet techs are helpful and caring and the ladies at the front desk do a great job handling the paperwork. Don't hesitate to bring your pet here.

We have trusted doctors and staff for the care of our labrador Luigi for many years. They have always been caring and compassionate and that's very important to us pet parents. We now have a 6 months Maltese "CoCo" who is a patient of Dr Cerda and a client of Sandra the new groomer. When we visit the clinic we are confident that he is in good hands. Dr Cerda is very knowledgeable and Sandra was great with my "difficult to handle Coco" I recommend doctors and staff. Everyone is attentive and caring and the clinic is very clean.

Outstanding veterinary care! I have taken my furry friends to Town and Country Animal Hospital for over a decade. Can never thank the entire staff enough for the professional care and kindness they have always demonstrated to me and my beloved pets. They outdid themselves after Ruby my Belgium Malinois was hit by a car and suffered third degree burns on shoulder and dislocated hip.
I thought Ruby would never run again. The care she recieved led her to have a miraculous recovery. Today Ruby is like nothing ever happened to her and runs faster than she did beforehand! Ruby is always happy to visit everyone when she goes in for her checkups. When I leave on vacation, I can enjoy my trip knowing they are safe and cared for. By far they are the best veterinary hospital I have ever been to. They are best!

I love Town and Country animal hospital 💖 I've been taking my cats there for many, many years even when I lived in another county. I'm grateful to Dr. Shaffer for recently diagnosing my older cats with thyroid disease. Both cats had lost alot of weight & were throwing up daily. I was very sad thinking they were terminally ill. After the diagnosis, Dr. Shaffer put both elderly cats on thyroid meds.
They've gained weight, stopped throwing up & behave like youngsters. Quarterly bloodwork is done at Town & Country to check their thyroid levels & see if the dosage needs adjustment. Also, thanks to Kris (office manager) for her kindness when I was very distraught thinking my cats were terminally ill. No matter how far I may live I will always take my babies to Town and Country 🙂

Thank you is not enough. Town and Country Animal Hospital is absolutely the best vet office we have ever been to. From the moment you walk in you know your pet will be in great hands. We have been seeing the vets at T&C for over six years. From routine appointments, emergency surgeries, late night phone calls and text messages, we can not say enough about the care given to our pets. Been coming to this place since the day I got my dog. They have a great staff and are always eager to help. The setup is very clean, both owner and pet friendly. The boarding services are also very helpful if you're in need of housing your best friend for a few days. No appointment, no problem, they also accept walk-ins! If you're looking for a good vet, that treats your pet like theirs, then you've found the place.

We tried quite a few vets before we found Town & Country. Reed Hall has hired a staff of animal lovers from top to bottom. I've never met such awesome animal people. My dog actually likes going there! They show great compassion and provide great care. I can't say enough good about T&C - in fact I just told a neighbor today that he needs to take his new puppy there.

After several years of using the services of Town &and Country Animal Hospital, 13475 SW 136th St, Miami, we took our Bichon for routine dental and to have a wart removed from each hind foot. When we picked her up she had severe pain when her right side was touched. About 5 days later a larger blister broke behind her front leg and within days spread to her hind leg.
When we took her back it was discovered that she had been burned badly. Although she recovered from the wart surgery in a week, the treatment for the burn lasted for over six weeks. She required antibiotic for 4 weeks and was forced to wear a collar 24/7 for almost seven weeks to prevent licking or chewing. She was a miserable little dog for a very long time due to the negligence of the staff attending her that day.
We were told that the device to warm the animals during surgery and in recovery is not meant to touch the skin. Their lack of supervision resulted in this horrible and disfiguring wound on our dog. It does not appear that she will ever have hair over this scar. The vet and the nurse that were responsible for our dog that day were Dr. Catalina Kesseru and Alejandro.
We were appalled that our trust was so violated and that our dog was so mishandled. Although a wonderful vet, Dr. Lori Wendland who treated the wound was as caring and compassionate as one could ever hope to experience, neither Dr. Kesseru or Alejandro ever spoke to us about how this happened, nor did Dr. Mordaunt, the principal of the clinic, ever bother to inquire as to how the dog was doing or to offer any kind of an apology.

Our Roscoe has been coming here since he was adopted in 2016 and I honestly couldn’t think of one negative comment if I tried! From last minute appointments to emergency walk-ins, they have treated us with the upmost respect and given us the best care possible. They are some of the most caring individuals I have ever met & trust them wholeheartedly.

We drive from Miami Lakes to Town & Country because we appreciate the quality of care, time, and attention we receive from the entire staff there. Dr. Childs is a godsend; she helped us through a very difficult time when we lost our six year old cat to cancer earlier this year, and we are taking the rest of our cats to her for checkups and evaluation.
We trust her implicitly, and her willingness to take the time to explain things in detail means the world. The rest of the staff is equally as stellar. We will take our pets to Town and Country whenever possible, cannot recommend this facility enough.

I love this vet, two of my dogs are seen by them and they are amazing! They helped me when I found a stray dog and she turned out to have heart worms...she is now my big baby and is doing 100% good! Dr. Kessaru is the best as well as the other vets that have seen my dogs. They help you by letting you pay your big bills little by little and they are great when you freak out because your 79 pound dog ripped her stitches out and you think the worse lol, they saw her right away and everything was great!

This is the BEST vet I have ever had and I've had many. They are so wonderful with my pets. If you need an appointment, they can usually even get you in the same day you call. All the receptionists are so sweet and friendly. The vets and techs are awesome. I especially recommend Dr Catalina Kesseru. I have moved a lot and therefore have had to find a lot of vets and she is by far the BEST!
She is so kind, listens to you and involves you in your pet's care. She is truly amazing. I'm moving to broward soon and will continue to drive all the way down to bring my babies to her. They make you and your pets feel like family. My older pets have had multiple surgeries there and they always take the best care of them. I would highly recommend them to anyone!

This place gets an A++ in my grade book! The facility is beautiful. The staff was super friendly and professional. The doctor was extremely gentle and sweet with our beloved pain in the butt dog and was very thorough explaining our dog's issues. She ran tests that nobody had ever taken the time to do before, all to try to understand his issues and the underlying cause of them, as opposed to just treating his symptoms.
The whole time she made sure to tell us the approximate costs of everything and the course of action she would take and why. All at reasonable but average prices. We had him groomed too and they left him perfect. No nicks, cuts, irritation, or bald spots. Plus, he was happy when we picked him up!

My fiancé and I had a big scare we found out that our puppy had contracted a very serious virus. When we noticed the irregularity with her behavior we immediately took her in. The staff and the doctors at TCAH acted swiftly diagnosing her and immediately provided her with medical attention. Our girl was under their care for roughly 5 days. During her stay I was provided with insightful updates on her condition.
I can't thank the doctors and the staff enough for without them our little girl would probably not be home today. The Town and Country Animal Hospital provided us with the best and utmost care possible ensuring the safe return of our pup. So I'm happy to share that Laila's recovery is at 80%! Thanks to awesome Vets/Staff at Town & Country Animal Hospital. Her Scratching is down 100% she is back to her normal scratching, her skin is clear to about 80%, and her Paw licking is down to about 50%. They have helped Laila in three weeks after struggling for a year with Banfield with no results!
We ended up switching Banfield's mind year thinking maybe it would help. I would never ever recommend any Banfield Hospitals!!! However I'm really liking this change. Town & Country animal has a similar wellness plan as well. I just got her nails cut, not to mention they have grooming too. This place seems to be a total package. Glad we made the move and Laila is too!

We have been with TCAH for 35 years, 8 pets ago. Through all the years we have been shown nothing but the utmost in care, compassion and just overall kindness. We just recently lost our beloved BamBam and I felt peace with him going quietly in my arms after hundreds of hugs, a little whimper and he was silent. Dr. Mordaunt and Kris were with me..We miss him badly but will always remember how well he was taken care of in his short life and how humanly he passed. Thank you all.
