Veterinary Surgery
Report
Whether it is an elective procedure or an emergency surgery, we do everything possible to keep your pet safe. Before a procedure your pet will be examined by the doctor, have an intravenous catheter placed and have pre-operative blood tests performed. Pain medication is given both before and after the procedure. We utilize a heated surgery table for your pet’s comfort and well-being. In addition to using a monitor that alerts us to changes in your pet’s body temperature, heart rate and blood oxygen level, a veterinary assistant constantly monitors and assesses your pet and records their vitals during their procedure. We monitor them after the procedure as well, until they are awake and alert enough to be fed breakfast.
Pet Vaccinations
Report
All veterinarians vaccinate pets. But not all veterinarians do it in the same way. If you prefer the short version of this discussion, we strongly recommend vaccinating your pets and we administer the safest vaccines in the most intelligent way possible. We know it saves lives. We also perform vaccine titers.

I have been going to Kindness for many years. The Doctors and staff are very nice and caring. Today, unfortunately I had to drop off my 3 year old pup who was sick. I had to go to work. Dr Lovelace was the attending Vet who was caring for my fur baby. Dr Lovelace called me to keep me posted on what his plans were for testing and treatment. I was very impressed with the time he took for any of my concerns. He was very detail oriented. I would recommend Kindness Animal Hospital for your pets total health needs.

Update: The owner below states I yelled at an employee. I never yelled at anyone. Was I upset about my cat? Yes. But I didn't yell. There is a difference. And I got multiple emails from multiple third parties. Not just one about a free trial on insurance. For instance, another was from the company they contract with to provide home delivery of prescription food and meds.
As I stated to the owner that day, in this day and age of stolen identities and all other cyber security issues, a business should never disclose a person's information to a third party without permission. And they never called the day after the procedure to see how my cat is doing. I think this is a great example of failure to provide a proper level of care.
No matter how bad the relationship is, you would think they would still care for my cat. Original review: I should have stuck with my gut after my first visit at this clinic but I let the office manager/owner talk me into giving them a second chance. Brought another cat in, then let them due the dental today. I have never had a pet have a medical procedure and not have the vet call me after.
They quoted me an estimated max and the bill is over 2 times the max (I foolishly said they could go over never expecting them to be double). My cat has significant bleeding (though has sutures) and they can't explain why. Never go against your gut. I won't be back

I have been going here since 2018. The doctors and staff are all wonderful, I trust them with my pets, and recommend them to anyone looking for a vet. Prices are comparable to other clinics, but the great treatment is priceless. The clinic is clean, directions for medicines and procedures are clear, and they are great at following up after a visit.

You can tell the staff here care about the animals and enjoy what they do. I have one cat in particular who tends to be pretty skittish. Despite the usually anxiety of being in a new place, he really warmed up to they staff and the experience was over all positive for him. Pricing for procedures is posted on their website so you can have an idea of what it will cost before you arrive. Any questions you have are answered promptly and professionally.

Dr. Loveless and the staff at Kindness Animal Hospital were very kind and caring with our cat, Sadie Rose. Sadie hates to go to the vet and it is usually a very stressful ordeal. However thanks to the staff's patience and compassion, she remained calm and did not freak out. I highly recommend Kindness Animal Hospital! You can tell they truly love animals.

This was my first visit and all the staff from front desk to the doctors were above expectations. Our boxer/pit mix is insane energy and no one acted put out or frustrated when he wouldn't cooperate. We had to take him in for a small mass and they gave many options for treatment and never pressured towards a direction. I would happily return for more care for our pets.

This was our first visit to Kindness and from the moment we walked in and were greeted by Tonya and Sheryl we had a feeling we found our new vet! Our vet tech Lisa was so sweet and listened to all of our concerns - our shy girl was immediately so comfortable with her. We have an older frenchie with a laundry list of issues. We have had a few vets throughout the last few years, and I've brought up the same concerns to them and was blown off time after time.
Not with Dr. Harl! She addressed every single one of my concerns and took her time with us. She saw the eye issue I brought up, (that 5 other docs said didn't exist), she noticed very subtle pain cues in our very stoic dogs' back that others have missed. I never felt rushed and after just one visit, I trust her and the Kindness team with the care of our ol' lady - we are truly so grateful!

Kindness Animal Hospital was clean and welcoming for pets and the employees were friendly and addressed me right away. The best part was that my dog had something wrong with her eye, and Dr. Harl was able to address it with eye drops (less than $30) instead of doing surgery ($100s more) in addition to causing more discomfort to my dog.

New to Tulsa and needed a vet for my two kitties. I did a Google search and after looking at my final selections I chose to call kindness animal hospital and I'm so glad I did from the first phone call everyone was so sweet and nice and upon our visit it was the same. Very clean and I liked they were the ONLY website that was upfront with their prices, a big plus for me.

The staff is knowledgeable, gentle, patient, and they all really care. Plus they are great with my dog too! On a serious note, I drive over 30 min. to take my pups here, even though I live right next door to another vet. I trust them with my dogs and I know they do what they do because they love working with animals, it's clear in how they interact with the dogs.
I would also like to mention, I am a struggling college student and when my dog had to go on expensive and permanent medication, they helped me figure out a rebate program to help cover some of the costs. I wouldn't go anywhere else.

the kindness and compassion everyone had for my sweet and loving Lucy was extraordinary. the compassion they showed to me while I was a total wreck hearing the bad news and trying to find a way to afford it all was unimaginable. they truly helped me, comforted me, and understood me. I've never received such compassion from anywhere I've ever been, and I'll continue to go to kindness animal hospital with Lucy and my other babies.

Dr. Seibert was able to see Rocko on a busy Saturday on short notice, he was throwing up and had diarrhea and we were very worried.
Dr. Seibert and the techs and front office were extremely nice and very patient with Rocko. Thank you Dr. and staff Rocko is feeling a lot better 24hrs. later with the meds you prescribed.

I have nothing but positive things to say about the entire staff at Kindness Animal Hospital. Our sweet dog, Max, took a drastic and unexpected turn for the worse and we had to make the devastating decision to let our sweet dog go. During one of our worst days, I felt nothing but compassion and support from the staff. They were so respectful and considerate making those last few minutes minutes that I am so thankful for and will never forget. Thank you for going above and beyond with the kindness you showed to us.

WOW! Can't say much more about this place. By far the the best vet in Tulsa. Everyone there is so nice and compassionate. They go out of there way to make sure my dog is treated the way he should be. If you need an affordable, reliable veterinarian in Tulsa or surrounding areas I would give them a call for sure!!!

Dr. Hall and the staff of Kindness Animal Hospital are beyond compare....and trust me, we had others to compare. Our pup was injured beyond repair before we ever went to Kindness, and we eventually had to make the unfortunate call that pet owners dread.
Dr. Hall and the staff were extremely professional, and respectful, giving us all the options, time, and support that could be asked for.
They did not try to nickle and dime like other vets, considering only the options that made sense, and didn not try to rush us in and out like a typical vet and doctors office. When the time came, they handled our case with the utmost respect, and dignity, beyond anything I had experienced or would have expected from another Vet.
Kindness is our new vet, and we will not go anywhere else in the forseeable future! Thank you so much.

SERIOUSLY THE BEST PLACE TO TAKE YOUR FUR BABIES!!! The doctors and ladies there are absolutely the BEST!!! I think the best part is that my animals LOVE going to the vet and they get so excited when I tell them where we are going. They are all angels!!! Office hours are amazing. Kayla who does the grooming is exceptional!!!! Def would recommend you taking your babies to Kindness!

You will find Kindness Animal Hospital to be a treasure if you care for your pets. Dr. Hurst and her staff work well in concert truly living up to the name Kindness.
Dr. Hurst is really more than a vet; she is a ‘pet whisperer’. One thing you will notice right from the beginning is that she immediately tunes in to the animal she is caring for.
Her listening, visual and perception skills seem to allow her to feel and sense what the pet is experiencing. Her recommendations for tests and treatment are science based and she and her staff take the time to explain all options before moving forward. Their billing practices are transparent and compared to many others more than reasonable. We are very fortunate to have Dr. Hurst in Tulsa and we highly recommend her to anyone who values their pets.

I had no money and no job to pay for a diagnosis on my very sick Yorkshire. He had a large tumor like growth appear on his cheek and began bleeding from inside the mouth. The vet here was extremely compassionate as we decided that he didn’t have long. We were going to bring him back in a few days time to pay to put him down. Although he passed before we could do that, I highly recommend this business. Thank you

You will be so glad you took your beloved pets to Kindness Animal Hospital. The whole staff is on their toes and the doctors are great. I have been taking my dogs to Dr. Hurst for many years now, always first rate care. The hospital is clean, the way a hospital is suppose to be!! There should be no smell of dogs and/or cats, or hair all over, or a bunch of barking dogs or anything else that would disrupt the care and treatment of your pet. I can recommend this hospital 100%.

I had a cat with a terminal disease who went downhill very quickly in a day. As my regular Vet had already closed, I called Kindness 45 minutes before they closed on a Friday before a three day holiday weekend needing to have my buddy of 10 years euthanized. They were able to accommodate me even though I'm not a client of theirs. The compassion and care that they provided was very impressive. There is nothing better than knowing that you have entrusted your pet's final moments to people who so obviously love animals. I would highly recommend them.

We originally chose Kindness Animal Hospital for it's location to where we lived. We have since moved much further away but continue to take our sweet Fiona cat to Dr. Nickle (even having to sit through Fiona yell about being in the car for a half hour) because she's the best! She very caring and fun and always explains every option for care. The rest of the staff is great as well and always very professional and upbeat. We will continue to use Kindness for any aninal need we have!

We just rescued a little dog named Buttons. We called Kindness because they were close to home , but after watching all the staff with Buttons, proximity no longer matters, even if you are across town, the drive is a very small price to pay for the quality of care they show their patients! Thank you Dr Hurst and staff for taking care of our girl!

My first experience at Kindness was not a pleasant one since the result was that I had to make the decision to have my young cat euthanized due to an incurable illness.
However, the vets and staff were amazing and empathetic, understanding the difficulty of the situation. Then, a couple of days later, I received a handwritten note from Dr Hall sympathizing the loss we experienced. One more observation: The hospital does not smell like so many vet's offices. It is clean and airy. Overall a very positive experience.

Dr.Hurst and crew are wonderful. My little man was run over by a truck mothers day weekend and Dr.Hurst and Cathi stabilized him for the weekend and had him in surgery the following Monday even though she already had a full schedule. She repaired his pelvis, which was broken in two places. She checked on him daily. If not for her I would have had to put him to sleep. There are no words to express my gratitude to the staff at kindness, they kept my family together.

I see you have all positive reviews and for good reason! My dog needs some TLC work and so I tried out a new veterinarian this time.. wow! Why was I stuck at Woodland Animal South for so long? Almost 6 years wasted at that place. Kindness Animal Hospital is my new go-to! I didn't wait a hour past my appt to see the veterinarian (like 5 min and she was in here!), their prices are affordable, AND the vet works with me, my dog, and insurance-- all without trying to up-sell us! Thank you Kindness Animal Hospital! My first appointment here will have me referring everyone I know!

They have taken wonderful care of our cat and our dog. We had an emergency when our dog was a puppy and we were new dog parents. Not only did they walk us through getting her to an emergency clinic, they called over the weekend to check on her. I wouldn't trust anyone else with my animals. We moved to midtown last year and still drive thirty minutes to get our veterinary care because we couldn't think of changing veterinarians.
They were also wonderful when first got our puppy and I was afraid every little thing might make her sick or something. They always talked us down and were never impatient or annoyed. Everyone there is wonderful.

There are no words to describe how amazing Dr. Hurst, Dr. Nickel and the staff at Kindness are. Kindness truly describes them. After going through a few vets in Tulsa, we found Dr. Hurst and so glad we did. She’s very intelligent and is very thorough with her care. Our springer spaniel got the best and most loving care, including an ACL repair, all the way to the end. And they cared for our whole family with the utmost compassion through everything. I would never consider another vet, period. Dr. Hurst is the best!
