Greater Annapolis Veterinary Hospital is one of the few veterinary hospitals in the Annapolis area that is fully accredited by the American Animal Hospital Association (AAHA). In fact, only 14% of the small animal hospitals in the United States and Canada have this accreditation. AAHA is a voluntary organization of veterinary hospitals that is committed to providing a high quality of veterinary care.
Member hospitals are held to a significantly higher standard of care than the state of Maryland requires. Greater Annapolis Veterinary Hospital has been accredited by AAHA since 1976. We maintain a staff of approximately 75 dedicated caregivers to ensure state-of-the-art professional, technical, nursing, administrative, and housekeeping services to benefit our patients and clients. We continuously try to live up to our motto: Always exceed client expectations!

Dr. Waltz attended to my dog's seemingly injured rear leg and determined after a through physical exam that an X-ray nor pain medications were needed in this instance. Dr. Waltz asked numerous questions and observed my dog walking for a considerable time before rendering her thoughts on his care. I appreciate her care and attention, and not being charged for needless procedures was a bonus compared to some other practices. By the way, my dog is doing fine so the doc's assessment was spot on.

I cannot say enough wonderful things about GAVH. The doctors, and all the staff are so kind, easy to talk to, and there is never any pressure from the vets with regards to my dogs care, and vaccines. MY 2 rescues Sophie and Jameson can be a little anxious and scared of everything, and the doctors and staff are always so patient and gentle with them that by the end of their visit my dogs are loving all over them.
I know when I walk into GAVH it is a judgment free zone, and I get the best advice for Sophie and Jameson' care, and Sophie and Jameson always get the royal treatment. We love our GAVH doctors and staff.

I highly recommend GAVH and have taken all of my pets here through the years. Dr. Eileen Manyin has taken great care of my current dog for 16 years and because of her expertise and care, I feel she has definitely helped my dog live a long and healthy, happy life! I know they are busy and it is sometimes hard to get an appointment, but that is proof of their reputation. Everyone wants to take their pets to GAVH because of the kind staff and excellent treatment.

I absolutely recommend GAVH. My family has used GAVH for all our fur kids (about 25 years). I currently live in Catonsville and gladly make the drive to Annapolis for my Husky. The doctors are so wonderful and professional. The techs are so personable and knowledgeable. The staff at check in are so kind and they always make me feel like my dog is one in a million.
I also love that at GAVH the doctors really look at your pet and listen to what’s going on. They don’t jump to the most expensive care so when that does come up, I know it’s serious. I trust GAVH explicitly with my current pups care and I did with my last dog all the way to the very end. On that note, the level of care and kindness the staff and doctor gave to me the day I needed to make the call to put my first dog down was something I will never forget or ever be able to thank them for.
To have my new little one at GAVH makes me so happy. I know Lukin is safe and in good hands! We even come in sometimes just for wellness visits! GAVH is the best of the best!!!

Just wonderful caring staff and doctors and techs. Our vet with the help of another one there discovered a genetic disorder in our puppy. We were so grateful that she got a consultation with another doctor there to agree on diagnosis. We also board our dog there and know they are well taken care of and loved while we are gone. We look forward to being able to be in the exam room again soon with our dog as Covid rules start to change. They have done an excellent job during this difficult time with Covid.

I highly recommend GAVH! They took my senior pitbull in for a last minute appointment when other area vets could not. Dr. Wiles and her team are compassionate, professional, and truly genuine people. Dr. Wiles explained the issue and treatment options in a way that was easy to understand, and I felt confident in the care plan we chose. Thank you, GAVH team!

Because of recurring ear infections our Yorkie Sammy has been suffering from, my local Vet advised that I seek support from a specialist, specifically a Veterinarian Dermatologist. After some research I scheduled an appointment with Dr. Woodburn at GAVH. The day after I my local Vet sent my pets medical records to GAVH, I received a phone call from Dr. Woodburn. Dr. Woodburn then proceeded to spend an hour on the phone with me discussing my pet symptoms, possible causes and treatments.
We have some great Vets at my local clinic but this level of support was truly outstanding. Yesterday Sammy, his older sister and I made the 2 hour drive to the clinic. The staff was great and Sammy seemed to make some new friends. Dr. Woodburn examined Sammy and continued the treatment that my local Vet had started. If you live in Annapolis, or every need a specialist, you cannot go wrong with GAVH and Dr. Woodburn. The headband started out as a bandana but Sammy decided to make some changes on all his own.

GAVH has taken care of my dogs since 2010. A puppy I rescued in Puerto Rico was born with demodex. If not for the doctors, specifically, Dr. Kelly Anderson, diagnosis and thoughtful solutions and medication, she would not have lived. She is 10 years old now. My 14 year old dog has been healthy and is showing signs of age. She has a lump that needs to be aspirated monthly.
They did not jump to the surgery route, they considered her age and decided surgery wasn't in her best interest. The doctors always do what's in the best interest of our girls, not for their bottom line. Appointments are on time, daytime emergencies are handled that day. Excellent quality dx and rx. Excellent communication with us parents. I've noticed some of their costs have come down. I highly recommend GAVH for quality care and compassionate doctors.

My husband and I loved this vet. We came here with our cats for three years before we had to move and always had a good experience, and were really sorry to leave. We mostly saw Dr. Keegan, who finally figured out a long term solution to our older cat's allergy problems (our previous vet couldn't think of anything but steroids), but everyone we saw there was always very good.
I was surprised by how considerate Dr. Daher was. She had to give us the bad news about one of our cats having liver cancer, and after he died and we came in for a checkup with our new cat a couple months later, we happened to be seeing her in the same exam room. She asked if we would prefer not to be seen in that exam room again. It didn't actually bother us, but I really appreciated how thoughtful she was.
They also sent a sweet sympathy card signed by the whole office when Myshkin died. You really can't go wrong with them - both in terms of the quality of their medical care, and their bedside manner.

We LOVE greater annapolis veterinary hospital!!! My mom has taken her boxer, rocky, here for years! I attended some of the visits over the years and really thought highly of the staff. My husband was active duty and we were stationed elsewhere. After coming home, we didn’t have a regular vet. This morning, one of our babies began peeing blood. Obviously alarmed, we called, and they got us in within hours.
We saw doctor Keegan, and she was incredible not only with our fur baby but with our human baby too; giving her a coloring book and stickers to keep her entertained and explaining things to her, in toddler language, too. We truly loved the care our fur baby received. We left incredibly happy. An hour or so later, she called us to let us know that we were accidentally charged for a lab that was supposed to be an estimate and that she’d refunded the amount but wanted to let us know and apologize.
I hadn’t even caught the mistake, so it felt good to know that everything was reviewed again even after the visit was over!!!
Overall, AMAZING experience and we have found our forever vet now that we are home for good!!
