Our clinic was founded in February 2020 by individuals who moved from Iowa, and it represents their labor of love. The name Lone Tree was chosen to honor the history of the Lone Tree Ferry, which was established in 1850 and symbolized connection and care, a mission that we strive to emulate daily.Our clinic provides a wide range of services, including routine medical care, surgical procedures, and comprehensive dental treatments. Our team is led by Dr. Emily Whitehouse, a veterinarian with over fifteen years of experience in treating both routine and complex cases. Dr. Whitehouse specializes in fear-free practices to ensure that every pet feels safe and comfortable during their visit.
Our clinic is designed with the well-being of your pet in mind, featuring a calm and kid-friendly waiting area, as well as thoughtful touches that reduce stress for your pets. Dr. Emily Whitehouse

Dr. Emily has wanted to be a veterinarian since the third grade, after her dad mentioned that she was pretty good with the family pets. She worked at veterinary clinics throughout her high school weekends in Ohio, before attending The Ohio State University for her undergraduate and veterinary school degrees. She moved to Southwestern Iowa in 2008 with her now-husband to practice mixed animal medicine. After four years, she headed into town to a predominately small animal clinic. She’s decided to start her own practice in Omaha after seven years, and she is SO excited to care for you and your pets! Dr. Emily and her husband have two dogs, three indoor cats, a bunch of barn cats (more show up every day, right?), and some chickens on their acreage. In her free time (ha!), she loves to garden/landscape (native plants only, please), read voraciously, prep for the apocalypse, and build furniture as a novice.

I love that Lone Tree has separate entrances for cats and dogs, it makes for a much less stressful experience for kitties. I also love all the work they do for TNR and the feral cats in our area, and they have the nicest digs for cats in their exam room! Steve is a big fan, as a failed feral cat turned healthy housecat.

Just left after taking our three cats in to see Dr. Emily. I can't say enough good things about our experience. The front desk staff was knowledgeable and professional. Dr. Emily was amazing with our animals and even though we had an incredibly spicy cat she handled him with care and grace. They took care of all of our needs and were transparent about every part of the process. We will be loyal customers going forward

Emily is amazing I've been bringing my dog to her for a few months now and just recently brought a litter of pups. I have always been happy with our visits and I will continue to use her as my primary vet moving forward. Her rates are very affordable and you can tell she absolutely loves and genuinely cares for animals! The way a vet cares about animals is top priority for me, even over expense, but she she is the best of both worlds and I know my fur babies are in great hands when in her care!

Great communication, excellent service. Can't put into words how awesome Dr. Emily and the staff are! My dog can be how to put it. a pain sometimes when around other animals, the staff is very accommodating for this and works with me on it. Staff also explains everything to me so that I clearly understand what is going on every step of the way, also very affordable!

This Animal Care Center is awesome! My fur baby needed surgery, my regular vet cannot do at this time. This place was recommended by a friend. Dr. Emily is wonderful. Explained the procedure and findings. The staff answered my calls for updates with kindness and understanding. Thank you for taking care of an important member of our family

I have been looking for a veterinarian forever since moving to Nebraska and I am so thrilled that I finally found one! Amazing prices, staff was wonderful and responsive.
