Dr. Shaw has a life-long love and respect for animals, which led to her career in veterinary medicine. She enjoys working with clients who include their animals as a part of the family. Dr. Shaw emphasizes providing the best possible care and forming long-lasting relationships with her clients. She graduated from Oregon State University College of Veterinary Medicine in 1999. In 2005, Dr. Shaw formed a partnership with then senior practitioner, Dr. Powell. She purchased the practice when Dr. Powell retired in 2006.

We drive a little farther than I would prefer to Southgate because I trust them with my kids 100%. The Dr.'s are fantastic and listen and understand the different physiology you might get with certain breeds like greyhounds. -Jen G. Jen and the amazing staff have been a part our family for years. She has taken great care of our three fur babies, two cats and one dog.

Since 2014, with three different senior cats, we've received patient, compassionate services. Most recently, Paige helped us when we had lab work done. Everyone from Dr. Stemper to the techs to reception is helpful and caring. I feel comfortable knowing that when GB is out of my sight, she is getting loving, supportive care. It is truly a care team.

I have been taking my pups to see Doc Kristin Shaw for many years. She is a gem. A very smart and and intuitive gem. I walk in with a list of all my questions and she answers all of them in detail. I appreciate her. I feel safe with her. My dogs are happy and safe with her. It doesn't get any better than that. My pets are my family and she understands that sentiment. Thank you Doc Shaw.

I recently took my dog back for a routine set of shots take in that I have an (XL BULLY) that's close to 100lbs not yet 2yrs old the vetanarian that seen my dog this visit not only did she offend me but was very rude I had the appointment set for shots not anything about the weight was a concern if anything my dog should be heavier being both parents are 130lb plus this lady talk very rude had a smart mouth just not a nice visit I have spent several thousand dollars getting care for my dog at this veterinarian clinic however I'm now looking for a new vet to care for my dog again an XL BULLY with parents both over 130lbs each and 100lbs is to large not at all this lady wanted me to trim my dogs weight never have I been so insulted and passed off all at the same time by someone who had never met are cared for my dog prior to that day the veterinarian that clipped my dogs ears was wonderful she really was five stars to her

Having mixed feelings about this place now Dr. Shaw was wonderful and very knowledgeable but seen a different person that apparently doesn't know about my dog breed and has a bad way of dealing with certain people my dog is a XL AMERICAN BULLY her parents are huge dogs with my dogs mother weighing 135 pounds the father 150 pounds my dog is 90 pounds and the woman wanted to argue with me saying my dog is overweight! Keeping in mind my dog is 24 inches tall she's saying it doesn't matter! It does matter I bought my dog for the purpose of a large muscular dog I am offended my dogs sister is 122 pounds! I bet her vet isn't saying she's to big
