I used to work there a long time ago. So I was familiar with them. They were very nice, and helped by discussing any changes in my cat's medication, after her blood work.

If you're looking for a vet in St. Petersburg area, look elsewhere. This vet is really only concerned with making money and not taking care of your pet. They take advantage of owners who are willing to do anything to help their pet. I took my dog in a handful of times since moving here and at first it seemed great. Then I went for vaccinations and they gave her one she didn't need and made me pay for it, the one I actually needed I also had to pay for.

They also told me to bring in a fecal sample which they didn't actually need and I had to pay for them to throw it away. On another instance I took my dog in because she was 'reverse sneezing' as they called it and said she was fine. Then, 4 days later she had pneumonia. All in all it cost over $1k for x-rays, and other random fees. Looking at the bills over the past several visits there is no rhyme or reason to the costs.

Sometimes the visit is $50 sometimes it's $70. Sometimes there's a random fee for something that is different on different visits and non-existent on others. Going back for a check in on the pneumonia and you best believe I won't be paying a cent. So glad I am moving out of town.

Thank you for your patience, help and support. My dog received love, treatment that will improve his health, and all questions I asked were answered. Above all, I got appointment the very same day. No other vet clinic have openings for new patients unless you wait for days (and my dog needed help). This is the only vet clinic who squeezed us in without making us wait, or making me wait in parking lot. The biggest thing I appreciate was me coming inside with my dog. I really don't like dropping off my puppy.so, thank you for that! Thank you! You made my worries go away.

I was having an issue getting one of my rescue cats seen for a skin infection at my regular vet. They were 2 months booking. I called Haines and they got us in after 2 days. The reception person was kind and very professional with the online app procedure. Dr Mosher and Christine were fantastic with my little guy. He has never been around anyone except for me and the vet that neutered him.

The three of them took to each other as they were long time friends. Very obvious they love their fur ball clients. After only one day, there is a tremendous improvement with my cats condition! I highly recommend Haines and will begin taking all 4 of my cats there.

Doctors are good and have always been kind. I've noticed prices creeping up lately but that's everywhere. My issue is that they have now decided to get rid of weekends. Most of us work during the week, can't take off for things like this, and therefore either need to find another clinic with weekend hours that can accommodate us or go without. When I inquired, the girl who answered the phone said "there wasn't a need for weekends, so we stopped it because of that." Really?

Because every time I went there on a Saturday the place was packed. Ah well. Unless I can figure out a way to get around that issue, getting here will be a challenge at best. Otherwise, I've had no issues here.

This wonderful animal hospital took great care of my sick dog. She was really suffering. Dr Pearl diagnosed her problem right away. Thank you, Doctor.

Both of my dogs are patients of Dr. Bode at Haines Road Animal Hospital! Dr Bode and the Haines Road staff have always been amazing! So caring, patient, and informative! The start of 2022 was very scary for my 1.5 yr old black lab/pit mix. he was being taken care of by a pet sitter and had eaten a rope while I was on vacation. He went in for emergency surgery on 12/29/21.

After the surgery and a scary infection during recovery, Monty is now back to his strong, happy, playful self! I cannot thank Dr. Bode and the team at Haines Road for saving Monty, and continuing to provide care for Monty and Pete! Would definitely recommend to anyone looking for the best care for their fur baby!

Excessively Expensive.$60 a visit and they don't tell you the price till you're there. The kit is a bunch of propaganda with info you can find on the internet. I found a stray cat and took it there on my only day off and there was no help unless I payed more money for other exams. The physical exam for $60 does not include them finding what the situation is with the animal, so there was no solution either.

I am just trying to help the animal I found. No one has that amount of money. As vets it should break your heart having people leave with a sick animal because they can't pay your ridiculous prices. Worse experience of my life. I cried out of anger. Some girl tells me "we are only trying to help". No you don't, you just care about a paycheck. There was no love or compassion for the cat.

The staff and professionals here are kind, compassionate, and efficient. They are genuinely concerned regarding the care and treatment of your furbabies! Me and JouJou always leave feeling relieved and cared about. They're really great for follow up as well. Take the one's that love you unconditionally to these fine folks. You will be glad you did!

Just called to try to schedule an appt for my senior cat because I saw their sign about examining senior cats. The girl on the phone said that special is over. Well, I didn't know it was a special and just wanted my senior cat checked. When asked what price it would be normally with no special she said I have no idea. She never even asked me if I would like to schedule an appointment.

30 years with Dr Vicente (14 Dobermans, 2 Great Danes, 2 beagles), couldn't ask for a kinder, more compassionate care-giver for my fur babies. Very thorough, very knowledgeable, great suggestions for treatments.

The staff is very professional and friendly. Dr. Johnson is an aweome vet! She genuinely cares about my dogs and takes very good care of them. I highly recommend Haines Road Animal Hospital.

I've been taking my pets to Haines Road for fifteen years, and for the most part have received excellent care. The vets are responsive and follow up with you personally, and all the staff are professional and compassionate. You do pay top dollar, but the quality is there. Unfortunately, the previous owner has retired and handed over management to a new vet, and the practice has gotten much more commercial.

Their refusal to talk to other pharmacies is a not-even-thinly veiled effort to steer clients to their own, very expensive online store. I'm sure I'll get the canned response about how this is "simplifying the experience" for everyone. But your very busy staff isn't being saved any time or trouble when they have to deal with irate clients who have to drive back to the clinic for a paper prescription to put in the mail like it's 1990, and that certainly isn't simplifying anything for the rest of us. You would save yourselves a lot of negative reviews if you would just change that one miserly policy.

Our dog has been going to Haines Rd for six years but we will be switching vets soon. We have been getting meds through Chewy pharmacy for a couple years to save money but recently Haines decided to become a DO NOT CONTACT clinic which means Chewy is no longer allowed to call/fax/email them to verify prescriptions. We now have to pick up a paper copy and use traditional mail to send it to Chewy.

This was obviously done to dissuade people from using less expensive pharmacies. They also did not give us a heads up that they were doing this so our pet went without their medicine for a period of time until we figured out why the orders kept getting cancelled. If you use online pharmacies, don't use this vet!

Moved down to Florida from New Jersey. Needed to find a vet for my 2 dogs. Was very lucky that I found Haines Road Animal Hospital. They always take me in for emergencies and regular appointments. Wait time is pretty short and everyone there is always super helpful. I've had horrible experiences with other vets. But never here.

I cannot thank them enough at Haines Road! I found them after my normal vet couldn't get me in for over a week, despite thinking my dog has kennel cough. Since then I have been using them as my primary. I just yesterday dropped off my 9.5 year old pug for a dental cleaning and removal of a fatty deposit. Within 2 hours of being dropped off he was done his surgery.

The doctor called me and let me know how it went, answered any questions and sent before and after photos. He is home and doing great! Very little pain if any that I can tell, so thank you Haines Road for doing your best with him!

I was extremely nervous about taking my elderly cat in as she hates being in the carrier, but the vet techs and vet were very understanding and handled my cat with love and lots of care! I did wait a bit to get called in, but I was a new patient and it looks like the office was very busy, so seems like they're very popular for a good reason. I expressed my concerns with traveling with my cat as I am moving out of state soon, and the vet gave me many options to ensure my kitty has the most comfortable trip imaginable. Would definitely trust them with my cat in the future!

I absolutely love Haines Road Animal Hospital. They always treat us with so much love. We have been going to them for over 10 years. They have seen three dogs of our dogs, two of which have past. One had to be put to sleep at the clinic and the love and care that was shown by Dr. Buso and the staff was so heartwarming. We are still patients with a new puppy and still love the care that we receive.

I highly recommend them. Plus as a Latina I love the fact that they speak Spanish and can serve the Spanish speaking community.
