Welcome Friends, Sunshine Animal Hospital opened in January, 1980 at the corner of Waters and Hanley Rds. We currently employ two veterinarians and sixteen lay team. The veterinarians and staff at our clinic are ready to provide your pet with cutting edge veterinary medical care. From wellness exams and vaccines to advanced diagnostics and complex surgical procedures, your pet will receive the highest quality care. Some advanced diagnostic services are available through our association with Blue Pearl Veterinary Partners.
We are open and seeing patients for all veterinary medical services. Social Distancing and face protection guidelines requested for those not fully vaccinated. We're here to help! Dr. Twilla is a 1999 Graduate of the University of Florida College of Veterinary Medicine. After completing a one-year internship at Florida Veterinary Specialists Dr. Twilla joined Sunshine Animal Hospital as Associate Veterinarian in 2000.
Your personal pet portal gives you full access to your pet's medical records and our online pharmacy for convenient home delivery of your pet's medications. You can also request refills to be picked up at the clinic, schedule veterinarian or boarding appointments, send us a message or ask a questions, even upload photos of your pet!

Four dogs we owned, and four dogs we took to Sunshine animal hospital. Thank you Doctor Twilia for everything. The assistants were always friendly and compassionate with our beloved dogs. I remember at least once we even boarded one of our dogs here because of how much we trusted them. When our dogs had to be put down, they even sent us personalized cards of their condolences afterwards. A great place to bring your pets for their care, the people here truly love animals

I've been taking my dog here for approximately 2 years now and I've had nothing but great experiences at every encounter. Front staff/technicians/Dr. Twila and Dr. Bodner both excellent! My most recent experience was nerve racking for me because I needed to get my dogs teeth cleaned but I was nervous about the anesthesia so I had a lot of questions and reservations. Dr. Bodner was super patient with me and helped me weigh out the pros and cons. I really get the vibe that this office has my dogs best interest in mind and that is huge! We have three resident cats and two porch cats that we take care of, all of which go to Sunshine. Every single person at Sunshine is so attentive, helpful, and kind. When we bring in our cats the techs fawn over them and give them pets and cuddles, and I'm never fearful when they may have to take a kitty into the back for tests or anything. I know they're in wonderful hands. 5/5 stars for Sunshine
