Please allow me to introduce myself. My name is Dr. Ryan Speltz. I am a 1999 Graduate of the University of Minnesota's Veterinary School. While gaining experience in general veterinary practice following graduation, I discovered my passion for enhanced and routine dental procedures. I enrolled in and completed the dental training series offered by the American Veterinary Dental Forum (AVDF) and have been a member of the American Veterinary Dental Society (AVDS) since 2001.I have devoted myself to fine-tuning my skills in advanced dental procedures at several Twin Cities clinics prior to joining the Skyline staff in the summer of 2003.
Kenneth Speltz and Stephen Brandjord. These doctors met as classmates at the University of Minnesota College of Veterinary Medicine from which they graduated in 1967. Both practitioners worked for local veterinary practices for 3 years before starting their own clinic together. Dr. Ken Speltz grew up in Rollingstone, Minnesota on a dairy farm.

We are located one mile North of Highway 694 on the West frontage road of Highway 65 (which is the continuation of Central Avenue) From the South: From Highway 694, take the Central Ave/Fridley /Highway 65 exit and go North approximately one mile. The highway goes through Moore Lake. Drive. Go left at this light and then make an immediate right onto the frontage road.

One of our mini schnauzer has health issues and had a bad tooth. Our old vet would not fix her tooth and told us there wasn't anything we could do. As things got worse we pushed our old dentist on the issue. He then recommended a animal hospital in the south metro. They estimated the surgery for the now multiple teeth would be thousands of dollars and fist visit would be in 60 days.
After pushing our old vet harder for options he told us to check Skyline Veterinary Hospital. Our first appointment the vet told us about the risks of the procedure and how it could be reduced with some meds. We followed his advice, staff were great to work with getting mens and 3 weeks latter they removed a bunch of teeth. Cost was reasonable, service was great, results were bringing our 14 yr old girl home. In a week our little girl is back to her old self. Not sure why I would go anywhere else.

I was referred here by All pet's for some dental work to be done on my cat. I was so nervous leaving her. The girl that took her made me very comfortable before I left. I just picked her up and she's tired, but doing really good otherwise. I would recommend them to anybody looking for a vet! Very nice people working there! Vets are wonderful!

I have two French bulldogs and have had a difficult time trusting other vets in the past for a variety of reasons. My visit with Dr. May and the other staff was the best I've ever had in 7 years owning a dog. I have also never seen my dog feel so comfortable in a vet clinic. Dr. May spent a lot of time with me in the office explaining and answering questions about vaccinations, procedures, and other treatment areas.
She then called me, personally, to assist with a prescription and check on my dog the day following a visit. There is nothing I would change! Thank you for taking such great care of Bruce!

Honestly, why is this place so highly rated. THIS PLACE IS TERRIBLE. I had such high hopes for this place. The receptionist who made our appointment was nice. Upon entering, it smells nice because the dozen of candles up front, but it's old as dust. The front desk was also fine, I'm assuming it was the same person on the phone. The doctor was the worst.
He came in and the first thing he said was "I here there's something wrong with your cat, are you feeding her treats?" I told her I'm feeding her temptations treats. He told me to stop that right away. No additional questions, just kept saying for me to stop feeding her and to change her food right away. He offered to give her a shot and give her some pills, and new food.
I felt uncomfortable with the shots and didn't want the new food, but agreed to the pills for nausea. He was insisting I do it all, but I declined. I felt as more that he was trying to sell me on stuff more than help me. Kenneth was so rough with my cat. After checking her, my cat walked a bit as curious kitties do, and he forcefully pushed her down onto the table. (He was finished all the checks - teeth, temp, and belly for pain, etc.) Honestly one of the worst, and most uncomfortable vet visits I have ever had. Basically spent $100 for 5 minutes of his time, 4 pills, and 2 cans of Royal Canin GI. I will never step foot in the establishment ever again.

Amazing Dr. Ryan Speltz! Professional but friendly. Knowledgeable but explains procedures in lay terms. Treats me and my dog like we are the only ones in the clinic. Total follow through. Excellent communication and people skills. The staff is amazing, too. They are a duplicate of Dr. Ryan's qualities.
