IF I COULD GIVE A 0 star I WOULD
While my friend had found a stray dog she was working with her and putting weight on her loving her life. Fast forward my friend brought her to the vet to get checked out. While there the vet stated she would take her MADE my friend sign a surrender form but wanted to just be updated how she’s doing because she did get attached to her. My friend forgot to state that she wanted to be updated so her and her boyfriend called the facility and the front desk girl tried telling us it was like violating hippa and that the vet wasn’t comfortable with it. A) it not violating hippa B) let’s talk about the negligence towards other pets? DO NOT BRING YOUR ANIMALS HERE AT ALL! I will be calling the board of veterinarian license and have that stripped. They better figure it out fast.

I am so thankful Springfield has the Emergency vet office. My family has had to use their services more than a few times. The experience was always top notch and as pleasant as it could be, given the circumstances.
Tonight, once again- we needed them and once again, they were stellar. They were busy but very well organized and the flow in and out was great. The ladies at the desk were fast, attentive, and friendly. Dr Archuleta was awesome! She was reassuring, informative and full of knowledge. I am very grateful to the whole Emergency vet team for helping out tonight

Took my dog there on Sunday after exhibiting signs of parvo and being told by a different vet that had seen him 2 days before that he had been exposed to parvo. Told the vet tech at Glenstone Emergency Vet Clinic that my dog had vomiting, diarrhea, not eating, lethargic symptoms. Told him he had possibly been exposed to parvo. Vet immediately ordered x-rays and testing for obstruction and ingestion of poisonous plant. NO PARVO TEST was done. Charged me almost $300 and didn't even check for the obvious explanation for the symptoms. Took my dog to a different vet on Monday & Parvo test was POSITIVE. I went back to Glenstone Emergency Vet yesterday and requested to speak to a supervisor or vet. No one was available. Said they would call me today. It is now 2 pm and no call. They don't answer their phone. This is malpractice & they don't care a bit. They are just after your money. My 6-month old puppy could have died due to them ignoring the most obvious possibility.

We brought our 12 week old Mini Dachshund puppy to the clinic after suspected toxicity. She was rushed to our regular vet at noon and upon arrival to her vet she was hyperthermic, vocalizing, seizing and completely limp. She had been at our regular Vet an hour away for 5 1/2 hours and she needed transferred for more extensive care after flushing fluids through her and giving propofal every 30-40 minutes. We prepared for transfer and left our vet to head to Springfield. We arrived at the Emergency Veterinary Clinic of SWMO with our puppy actively seizing, vocalizing and unconscious. They immediately took her back upon arrival to start working on her. The prognosis did not look good as it is rare for dogs to pull through the toxicity she presented with. We were met with professional, caring workers and doctor. She was expected yo stay the entire weekend and her outcome was very guarded. The next morning, our puppy was up and eating. That evening she came home. They saved our puppy. Their quick work and professionalism is to be highly noted. Leigh, one of the employees, showed us love, care and supported us through the whole process and she should be recognized. She was invested and made it her mission to do everything possible for not only us, but our puppy. Amazing clinic, amazing people, outstanding care. Thank you all!

The staff here was very friendly and as prompt as they could be with other emergencies going on! We were apologized to several times while the vets were in an emergency surgery. The vet technician we saw was very good with our sick boy. She took the time to get to know him and talk to him so he could get comfortable with her before taking his vitals.
The vet was very quick to give us a response on what she believed was wrong with him and treated him very quickly. We went home with some medicine and our boy is doing much better today! Pricing was not extreme or overpriced for an emergency visit. Would be comparable to an emergency visit with our normal vet.

Please, for the sake of your animals, never ever ever take your pet here unless it is an absolute emergency and cannot wait. my dog passed away after they took all my money. the experience before, during, and after care, was all horrible. zero compassion and sympathy while they were telling me my baby wasn't going to make it as far as the doctors go. the techs were ok but also seemed hateful that they had to work all weekend. it makes me sick that i had to take my dog here. they didn't even let me love on him before we left. i didn't get to say goodbye to my buddy because they didn't care. please don't go here unless you do not have any other choice.

DO NOT GO HERE I brought my dog here because it was the only location that would monitor him overnight. He was awake and playful beforehand. Not only did the give him the wrong dosing multiple times (he's was very tiny) they said it's the same dosing for every dog. When I went to pick him up the next day at around 8 he was given back to me stiff and not breathing.
They told me he was alive and they had just taken vitals. I went to check and they had taken them at 6 ( 2 hours ago). They told me he was just fine just couldn't see him breathing and to take him to our regular vet and they'd confirm he was just fine. Our regular vet told us he had been deceased for a long time and predicted he passed around 12 am. Completely unbelievable. Keep your pets alive and go to a different place.

My wife and I had a very positive experience with the staff at Emergency Veterinary Clinic this last weekend. We were staying at Table Rock Lake and our almost 16-year-old Miniature Pinscher, Shadow, took a turn for the worse. We thought we could wait until we returned to the Kansas City area and take her to our regular vet on Monday morning, but she declined rapidly Saturday evening.
It was clear she was suffering and we knew she would have to be put to sleep. We desperately search for a local veterinary hospital, but they were all closed on Saturday evening. We finally found Emergency Veterinary Clinic in Springfield Missouri and called them. They said that they were open through Monday morning and we could bring her there with no appointment.
We traveled the hour and fifteen minutes to their clinic with poor Shadow. The staff was very friendly and helpful. They took her immediately and examined her and confirmed that she was at the end of her life and should be put to sleep. I insisted that I wanted to hold Shadow while they did the procedure. The staff was very accommodating and caring, they let my wife and I have a few minutes to say our goodbyes.
Then the veterinarian administered the sedative as I held Shadow. She passed away peacefully. We wanted to bury her at our property at Table Rock Lake, so the staff carefully wrapped her and let us take her. I don't remember the names of the staff members that helped us but they were very professional and caring. The price was reasonable given the circumstances. I would highly recommend Emergency Veterinary Clinic in Springfield Missouri. Sorry for the long review, I'm still processing my grief and this was helpful.

We had a positive interaction with this facility. Everyone extremely nice, caring and helpful. Vet came in and apologized twice for having us wait 40 minutes due to an emergency surgery she had to do. Price wasn't bad and even though we didn't get good news about our pet the staff there was great. Would recommend.

The staff was super friendly and helpful. I had to put my dog down due to cancer a week ago and they went above and beyond during the process. I could tell that they genuinely cared. I had to go in on a Friday, Saturday, and Monday (All 3 times were after midnight) and they waived the emergency fee of $95 for Saturday and Monday. I asked for a little bit of his fur to be cut off after we put him down and when I picked him up after the cremation there was a little bag of it with his remains and they also gave me some of his paw prints without me even asking. I'll never forget that.

If I could give 0 stars I absolutely would. I will NEVER be returning back to this veterinary hospital. PLEASE READ MY STORY, it could save your animals life. On Saturday 2/12/22 my husband came home from work at 11:40pm, he noticed our ferret acting strange. Constantly Whimpering and he would try and bite when we touched his back end (he never would bite) we knew something wasn't right.
I called the clinic about midnight expressing my fears and she told me I should absolutely bring him in ASAP. I loaded him up and arrived at the clinic around 12:30am I walked in told the lady who met me at the front a few of my concerns before she led me to the room. I was handed a form, she told me she was taking him in the back so the vet could check him out and would return.
I had filled out two questions, my name and number before she returned and told me our ferret was fine. She said if I was worried I could take him to the sunshine vet hospital on Monday if my worries didn't subside. I was there a total of 15 minutes IF THAT! I loaded him up and headed home. I made him a comfy bed and hoped he was indeed fine. When we woke on Sunday morning 2/13/22 our ferret was DEAD!
I called the vet that morning and told them my experience and instead of their condolences she offered me the two options of disposing of his body. I went there for help, I knew something was wrong and in a total of 15 minutes they were confident in telling me to go home to let my ferret DIE! In no way do I feel like my ferret was helped in any kind of way.
I was there such a small amount of time they didn't charge me BUT this isn't about the money, it's the fact I went to get him help and they didn't do it. I gave my name and number so someone on top on the chain could call me so we can prevent this from happening to another family and I have yet to hear anything. DO NOT TAKE YOUR LITTLE LOVED ONES HERE!

We have a miniature australian shepard that at 9 pm on Saturday ate a small cat toy. We called our vet, which suggested we take him to an emergency clinic. This location was the only one open at the time. We walked in and were promptly greeted by a staff member who cared and immediately took our dog back for treatment. Meanwhile, we began filling out brief paperwork and placed a $300 deposit.
The vet soon came out, ~15 minutes after arriving, confirming the toy had been removed and our dog was doing well. Clear aftercare instructions were given, and our deposit was refunded minus the cost of care. Ultimately, we spent ~$120, which was much less than what our normal vet stated the expected care cost was, ~$400. All in all, the care was excellent and immediate.
The entire staff seemed to care for the well-being of our dog. The location was clean and welcoming. The cost of care was not only affordable but under the expected cost. I strongly recommend this location!

We had to take our cat here after a fall a few days after Christmas. The staff were all very friendly and treated my cat nicely. He had a dislocated shoulder and his humorous was broken in 2 places. The vet techs were kind and Dr Dave (I believe his name was) explained everything amazingly. Worth the trip to have my precious cat taken care of until he can get his surgery.

My senior dog Lucky had a life threatening emergency on Christmas day. All the staff we encountered were kind, knowledgeable and absolutely wonderful. I appreciated their prompt estimates of costs for treatments and allowing me to decide. I'm so thankful they were able to save my boy and I was pleasantly surprised to receive a partial refund for over payment.

I thought the people here were great. I feel like my dog receives better health care than I do LOL because I had to go to a clinic tonight for myself and I wasn't as big a priority as my dog was when we took her to this clinic on 12-27-21. Many people came in the room to help her and she wasn't even considered in emergency condition. It ended up being that she just got hurt and had a pulled muscle or something.
They took x-rays and did blood work after asking me if I wanted to instead of just doing them and charging me. The vet showed me the x-rays and explained everything to me and also explained what he found out in her blood work. The gave her 3 medicines to help her pain and gave me clear instructions verbally and also had the instructions on the medicine bags too so it wasn't hard to figure out. The medicines really helped, I can see such an improvement in her already. I am glad we took her here, I think she got really good care and I would recommend them.

I would avoid this place, specifically Marcy Diehl. Very little emotional intelligence, ethical issues at best, and you could make a case for fraud. Before she even seen my pet, she wanted a test for Parvo. Our puppy is vaccinated, vomited one time. No fever, diarrhea etc (very few parvo symptoms). Parvo test was negative, then proceeded to tell me that my dog is showing toxic symptoms of a drug ingestion/overdose.
We have went from Parvo to an acute drug overdose without even asking a question.wanted to go ahead and treat her for that. When I told her that the drug ingestion wasn't possible, she scoffed at me, told me in a very condescending, irritated tone and gestures (snatching papers up, looks etc) "I do this for a living and see it every day." After I was adamant that it wasn't possible, she told me "We can do a drug screen if you really think its necessary." After being basically accused, and knowing that this wasn't possible, I felt this test (as unnecessary as it was), was now necessary to rule it out and hopefully change course of treatment. or actually use some tests to diagnose what the issue might be.
After a period of time, "Dr" Diehl, marched in and said "SOOO. the drug screen was positive for THC" Again verrry condescending tone, and she flashed the test results in front of me. I caught the results and they were obviously NEGATIVE. 100% no doubt, negative. I confronted her and she continued down that path, telling me it was a positive test. She stormed out of the door, threw the test in the trash.
I immediately grabbed it and took a picture. I will stop there. Plenty more happened after that. From the BBB complaints and other online information, it doesn't look like it does much good to talk with the office manager "Gordon" I have plenty of undisputable documentation of her behavior, things (lies) she said and how she acted, along with photos and will be submitting everything to the State Licensing Board for review. This type of behavior needs accountability and after looking at reviews and other information online, it is definitely a trend that needs to be addressed.

We took our 16 year old cat here last Saturday to be cremated. The staff was so polite. It was a very positive experience given the circumstances. We were quoted 7-14 days to get his ashes back, and were called within 5. When we picked him up, the same exact service. Not only with us but observed it with other clients as well. Definitely recommend this place for emergency services. Thank you

I was pretty disappointed with the care my dog was given and the treatment I received. The techs were all friendly and helpful, but the Dr. Diehl was unfriendly, condescending, and impatient. She did not fully explain why she was recommending treatments or what they would entail. She did not seem to care about the main reason for our visit and seemed to just take a one size fits all approach, not listening to my real concerns.
When I asked her how long x-rays take, she impatiently told me there was no way to give me an estimate, which is really unhelpful. I don't need promises about how long things will take, but some kind of time frame would be nice. Or at least tell me in a kind way. She was unprofessional and not very helpful. Waste of time and money.

I'm a service connected vet 100% disabled. My little dog is sick. She is everything to me. I took her this place and waited. They didn't make me wait too long. I told them what was going on and they said they would be back with a what I need to do. They came back with me with a $450 estimate. I told them I didn't have the money and I couldn't really afford it.
They basically said okay and left the room. And they charged me $95 anyway. Didn't give me her temperature to know if she was okay with temperature. I figured for $95 I would have got something more than just a shuffle out the door. The girl was nice the lady was snarky and when I told her I couldn't, and started slapping things around for me to sign my stuff and everything. The place has terrible communication you know they just don't care. I honorably fought for my country and then I get treated like this it's sad.

I am grateful for them getting my dog in quickly. Dr Lea and the staff were very friendly and took great care of him. Critical patients come in all through the night and I felt they surveyed situations based on severity. ER clinics can cost and can take a long time to get your pet back home. As a pet owner, my pets are worth the money and time.
