Deerfield Veterinary Hospital - Edward B Caldwell

Everyone in this vet clinic is amazing. My dog has fear issues since having a bad experience at another vet and both Amanda (the vet tech) and Dr. Caldwell took extra time to help my dog feel more comfortable around them. They even allowed me to put the stain in her eye so we didn't have to push her into further uncomfortable situations. Then Amanda came out and played fetch with my dog to help make the whole experience fun for her instead of scary.

They also told me to bring her back for fun visits to help get her over her fear. They are knowledgeable, kind, patient, and allow a dialog instead of just giving instructions. They try and balance the best treatment for the animal with making the owner comfortable with the treatment plan as well. I am happy to trust both my dogs and cats care to them.

Very friendly staff. Seems to be very educated about large breed dogs. We took our 2 dogs here and they did great with them. If I could change one thing I would hope they would accept care credit. I have the care credit card with 5,000 limit but dies me no good if the don't accept it so that was the only bummer.

This is my first go raising a puppy solo, so I've never been through the vet process. The ladies that took care of Ace and I were INCREDIBLE. They answered all of my questions and made Ace so comfortable through vaccinations and nail clipping. So glad I brought him here out of all the vet clinics in Springfield!

Have been taking my cat here for 3 years now and they have always been the best! Very kind and easy to get ahold of if I've ever had any concerns. Best vet I've ever had the pleasure of having!

All the doctors are caring and very knowledgeable and no one tries to sell a product or a treatment that is unnecessary. They TRULY care about their clients, two-legged and four-legged! I highly recommend the business whenever I can.

The staff were amazing! Rachel and Dr. Roche took great care of our Archie. They made us feel comfortable and answered all of our questions about having a new pup. I am glad we chose Deerfield vet clinic!

After a very bad experience I came back and he has been fantastic with my cats. The lady who messed up is gone and I can tell he is passionate about what he does and I am glad I gave this vet a second chance!

We are new to Springfield, and our girl Ann Landers and our other girl Abigail Van Bruen are having issues with their mouths. We just choose Deerfield from a google search, and I am so glad we did. Our vet took the time to examine our girls and go over all he saw. He explained everything so well. And truly cares for my baby girls. Deerfield is also upfront with their prices so you know what to expect. So happy we found them! And by the way, they accept new clients!

I was so impressed and happy with the treatment we received. The front desk staff were very welcoming, they got us all checked in, and made walking in a good experience for our little puppy. Dr. Meagan was amazing with him as well, very gentle and encouraging. Anytime she had to do something unpleasant she followed it up with lots of praise and treats. We'll be transferring all of our pets to Deerfield's capable, caring hands!

I so appreciate Dr. Caldwell taking the time to thoroughly discuss my two cats' issues. He didn't seem rushed or like I needed to hurry with my questions. He genuinely cares about my pets. I love this clinic.

I have had confidence in Dr. Denise and Deerfield with my fur babies for almost thirty years. The personal care is so appreciated and it's very comforting to know that I can trust some of my most precious and loved family members to their care.

I can't say enough about the Vets, Vet Techs and Staff at Deerfield! They were there for us when we had to help our oldest kitty, George, cross the rainbow bridge. George loved Dr. Denise and Amanda and purred for them right up until the end. They consistently handle hard situations with grace and compassion. Yesterday my other kitty, Jucy, fancied himself a furry vacuum cleaner and swallowed a whole chicken bone like a penguin would swallow a fish!

The bone was about 2 inches long and I made a call to the hospital and Dr. Ned squeezed him in for emergency surgery on what turned out to be Foreign Body Friday. As I talked with the other customer in the lobby whose pup had needed the same surgery, I really took in how incredibly busy that day must have been for the hospital. Dr. Ned explained the procedure perfectly and I'm eternally grateful that he was able to help Jucy. Jordan got me all checked out and Amanda came out to walk me through aftercare.

Now Jucy is sleeping peacefully behind me with his cone of shame and it's all thanks to the amazing people at Deerfield. If you're looking for a vet hospital that truly embodies the science of healing, this is the place to go. Thank you everyone for saving my sweet boy!

I am thankful to have established care at Deerfield Veterinary Hospital. The ladies at the front desk were welcoming and kind, the Vet Tech was great with our puppy and I was extremely pleased with Dr. Denise's willingness to answer my questions and help us navigate the new world of being dog owners. We love Dr Sarah and Deerfield staff. We have been bringing Brady here since he was a new puppy and we love that the staff all know him by name. He enjoys coming to Deerfield which makes boarding him and vet visits so much more pleasant for us and our dog. It is convenient that they offer puppy play dates and boarding on top of veterinarian services. The same staff is taking care of him each time and he loves them all.
