Wandermere Animal Hospital At Wandermere Animal Hospital, we all have a deep love of animals, a compassionate concern for our clients, and strive to provide the best veterinary care possible. We are a small animal veterinary clinic, owned and operated by Dr. Carrie McCorkle and Dr. Sherry L. Moore. We have been located in the Wandermere West Shopping center since August of 2005.

At this site, you will find information about our practice philosophy and our services, you can learn about our staff, and we have an extensive Pet Medical Library for you to search for additional information.
Services
Diagnostic and Therapeutic Services: Our hospital is equipped to provide diagnostic and therapeutic services to care for your pets' complete health care needs. Surgical Services: Our state-of-the-art surgical suite provides for the performance of a wide variety of routine surgical procedures. We can also provide you with a referral to a nearby surgical specialist for complicated surgical procedures.
To allow ample time for all patients and scheduled surgical procedures, we operate primarily by appointment. Emergency cases shall always receive top priority, which is why occasional appointment delay is inevitable. Please realize that we make a sincere attempt to see each client on time. For your convenience, drop-off' appointments are available.
Chosing to end your pet's life can be a very difficult decision to make. At Wandermere Animal Hospital we strive to help our clients navigate through this process. Our doctors are more than willing to discuss quality of life and help you reach a decision for your pet's specific situation. We perform our euthanasias as humanely and peacefully as possible.
Microchips are a very popular means of permanantly identifying your pet and helping in the recovery process if they are to escape or get lost. The chips are sterile, inert, and tiny. This means that they are designed to be inserted under your pets skin and remain there for life. There are rarely any complications except that sometimes a chip can move under the skin and end up in spot that doesnt get read by the scanner. In these cases it is wise to place a second chip, but the old one does not need to be removed.

We could not ask for a better vet. We have a special needs bulldog and the staff at Wandermere has gone above and beyond for our bulldog. All of our dogs really. Dr Moore and Heather and staff are the only ones we trust or precious bulldog and two bostons with.

The only vet/hospital my girls have ever been to, staff and doctors are very knowledgeable, all 3 dogs go in tail wagging, weird I know. They are the best!

Because I've moved around a bit, I've had several different vets for my dogs - and Dr. Moore is far and away the best one I've ever had. She genuinely cares about them and their wellbeing/quality of life, and she's SO good about responding to questions, concerns, etc. The best vet I've ever been to, hands-down.

I had a terrible experience and I hope its not the norm for this establishment. I was trying to get my kitten spayed, they were not clear in how they schedule for a check up a week before the surgery so I had to reschedule. I was never given the estimate of cost until I arrived the morning of my rescheduled appointment. They also tried to reschedule my rescheduled appointment that very same morning. If you choose this clinic make sure you are prepared to ask all of the questions and them some so that your expectation dont become as shattered as mine were.

Friendly staff, treat your animals amazing. They explain everything to when it comes to your pets care and the best route to go. Been taking my babies there for over 5 years. They might not be cheap but the care is worth every penny.

I brought my puppy there because it was the closest animal hospital, they have covid regulations right now so we had to call when we got there (understandable), but when we called i told her my dog was bleeding a lot, it was an emergency and he had lost a lot of blood already, she told me i had to be put on hold, then hung up on me. I wasn't sure what to do so i waited, I called again when my dog was howling in pain, and she said "hopefully we can get someone out there in a little" i asked how long it would be, and she just kept saying "hopefully in a little".

I could see in the front window, she kept pointing at me and talking to the other person at the desk, but no one was coming out for my dog, after awhile of that we drove a block down the street to the Fairwood Animal Hospital instead and they got us in the doors as soon as we pulled up, they saved my dogs life. They also gave us cleaning wipes and spray to clean the blood from my car while we waited. They had amazing staff there too. Overall i'd say if you have an emergency don't waste your pets time here, go the extra block to Fairwood!

Dr Moore and the staff at Wandermere Animal Hospital took such wonderful care of my beloved Gabby up to his last breath. I love everyone there. They truly care about the animals they care for. And I’d like to thank them for the beautiful card we received. Your care and concern is so appreciated.

They are actually there for your pet. Other offices I have been to, I feel as if they are only there for the money. Wandermere Animal Hospital was great in each area. The front desk, the veterinarian, and the tech were wonderful with my dog. All so inviting for me and most importantly my pup. He LOVED it. Would recommend this place for sure.

I've been a client here for about 4 years. This clinic and Dr. Moore were highly recommended by another vet when I needed a new primary care clinic. My pets (5 in total) have always been treated compassionately here. What impresses me the most is that they use available online resources to assist them or confirm a diagnosis/treatment and share this info freely. In addition the techs here are also top-notch.

The staff and vets are awesome. Went in last night to have my cat checked out and they called last night and this morning to see how he was doing, can't ask for a better place. I definitely suggest this place.
