Services
Our Doctors perform routine surgeries Monday through Friday, generally in the morning, to allow our patients to recover and be discharged by the end of the day. Major surgeries are performed under general anesthesia either by use of inhalation (isoflurane) and/or injectable anesthetics. Sterile techniques are used for all surgical procedures.
Here are two heartbreakers, these two Newfoundlands were brought to Heart Arrow at just 8 weeks old. Unfortunately, they were diagnosed with Parvo right after they arrived in Spokane. After a long week of around the clock care, these two fluffy bears came through. Now over a year later they have become an amazing duo!
As the unofficial start to summer, Memorial Day is a great excuse to get outdoors. But whether you're partying, barbequing, or just soaking up some rays, it's important to keep your pet's safety in mind at all times. To prevent any Memorial Day mishaps, we've put together some tips to help protect animals during the "Dog Days" of the season.
Although St. Patrick's Day is a centuries-old holiday steeped in tradition and history, it's no secret that many people associate it with alcohol, shamrocks and the color green. We're all in favor of a festive celebration, but it's important not to press your luck when it comes to pet safety. Green beer (and all other alcoholic beverages) have become a big part of St. Paddy's Day celebrations.

I love this crew. My old, ornery dog was so great for them and I know that they have my best financial interests in mind while also taking exceptional care of my dog. They are kind and joyful and so loving towards us. I am immensely grateful for how much they care for our old grouch. The staff is mostly women which our mutt prefers and it has made such a difference in his care. I HIGHLY recommend this vet! We have been taking our new mutt puppy here for a few months and they are still an amazing crew--office and medical staff alike.

I should have written this review a long time ago, back when we had to say goodbye to our sweet Boxer momma Roxy, Heart Arrow came to our house and helped Roxy pass over in the comfort of our own living room, she was 11 and losing the ability to walk/hold her back end up. The following two years were even harder, our boy Boxer Cooper, son of Roxy, had been suffering from Megaesophagus for quite some time, and Heart Arrow helped us through it as much as possible, until we could no longer watch him suffer and waste away.
Once again, they came to our home and helped Cooper pass over. If we would have had to drop them off and walk away, I can't imagine the feeling of abandonment our dogs and guilt our family would have gone through. Instead we got to hold them, tell them how much we loved them and grieve unabashed. I can't say enough wonderful things about Heart Arrow, they treat our fur babies like their own, we now have Oscar the Boxer and Ollie the Cavalier King Charles Spaniel, both are treated with love and the utmost care at every visit. I highly recommend.

My visit today was to pick up the ashes of a little dog that I had to euthanize. The staff was very compassionate about the occasion. Lilly's ashes were in a beautiful little box. This is the second animal that I have had to put to sleep for their old age. These folks made the occasions bearable with dignity and grace.

These are great people! We have been going here over a year and I highly recommend them over the other local vets. they are honest and the place is clean! A little spendy at times, but isnt any vet? They always follow up after procedures and are super friendly! I think it's time they update their rundown sign on Sprague. you wouldn't know about this amazing place just by looking at that.

It really pains me to have to write a poor review of this place, but I feel like pet owners need to be warned. We adopted our dog in 2008 and Heart Arrow vet was our vet from day one. We didn't see them too often until he started aging, and every time we had to schedule an appointment with our dog they kept getting more and more dismissive about our concerns and changing behavior, and sent us on our way without helping my dog- and these appointments are costly.
This year our dog is turning 12, and we noticed a lot of things were starting to look bad for him. He had urine incontinence, he was weaker, he looked extremely bloated and was just not like himself at all. My family and I all agreed that we were going to give this place one last shot at helping our dog and us out before we left to another veterinarian clinic.
But when we got there, they again dismissed our concerns, did one urine sample, stated our dog was just gaining weight and sent us on our way saying our dog is perfectly fine. Long story short, we got a second opinion. Our dog was far from okay. Enlarged liver, and lesions on his spleen. Do not trust this clinic because they do not listen to your concerns and will empty your pocket before making a discovery. The same thing happened with our dog a few years back, but with them unable to find fleas and ignoring us showing them the flea bites and scabs he had all over his body.

I am disappointed we decided to come here with our newly adopted lab/mastiff mix puppy based on all the great reviews. We came for her for initial checkup and it went well, a few months later she scratched her eye on something and we returned for treatment. At the appointment the vet didn't have a assistant help at all and was surprised she didn't want to sit nicely while she poked and prodded her eye, at the follow up also with no assistance and a still hesitant dog she suggested I sedate her next time because she couldn't poke in my dogs eye without my dog trying to get away.
I think giving my animals pills to calm her is so excessive and having a assistant help restrain a 90lb 7 month old puppy should be a given. Going to try elsewhere in our future.
