My dog had only been boarded once before, when she was a puppy in early 2020 before Covid. It was not a positive experience so we were anxious when we dropped her off but our pet sitter, and none of our friends, could keep her. The staff was very friendly and welcoming, and my dog even let them pick her up which surprised me as my 14 pound dog is usually scared of strangers.
When we picked her up three days later, my dog seemed very happy and relaxed, unlike the previous experience. She obviously was well cared for and I was told she enjoyed playtime with other small female dogs.

They have always done a fantastic job being absolutely transparent with everything that is happening with my animals. From the good to the upsetting they always provide me with the information I need to make the best decisions on my animal's health. I've been going to swift creek for. 3 years now with different animals, And I am very happy I found this animal hospital. Highly recommend.

Everyone at Swift Creek was wonderful. I called the day before, with what I thought was an emergency, they put me at ease and answered all the questions. She was immediately seen. At the appointment, my pup and I were attended to with great care. My senior dog is recovering perfectly. I'm really lucky to have this veterinary hospital so close. I will forever be a customer of this wonderful vet!

I am new to the area along with my three rescue dogs, aged 15, 12, and 5. My 12 year old is a Great Pyrenees mix has suddenly declining mobility. The entire staff could not have been more accommodating and patient with my girl. And her Mom. I appreciated all options and likely causes were explored, along with the costs of those options, as opposed to "let's do a battery of tests".
My dogs are family but I can not see the reasoning of spending $300-600 to determine she is a senior whose time with me will soon end. I like them so much that I have encouraged my family, based in Chesterfield and Scott's Addition, to move their pets to Swift Creek.

My husband and I have two geriatric cats and rescued three kittens from outside which means we spend quite a few trips to the vet for care. We've seen Dr Powell, Dr Creasey, and the cat whisperer Dr Clarke. Each experience was great and they made my cats feel stress free as possible. The vet techs are very friendly as well.

My husband and I just got a corgi puppy and we needed to find a local vet for her. I came across Swift Creek and found many positive reviews, plus it's close to where we live. Our first visit went very smoothly and the vet was informative and answered all my questions! Our puppy did wonderful and the employees were super nice!

I've boarded my dogs with swift creek a few times, this was the first time since their restructure. It was a great experience! One of my pups is a difficult one, they handled him very well and didn't get annoyed when I called to check in a few times. The check in process was easy and they accommodated a last minute change before drop off flawlessly.

I'm super picky about vets, I have been super impressed by Dr Butterfield and Swift Creek as a whole. I have certain controversial ideas with dog ownership (delayed spaying until bone maturity, reduced chemicals, not using food from the 5 major brands, etc) and I have struggled with other vets in the area who have tried to make me feel guilty or even stupid for my views, despite me having veterinarian backed studies supporting me. Dr Butterfield was the opposite.
She said "my job is to give you all the info, let you make decisions, and back you up on your choices". She has taken time to talk through things thoroughly, and has a wonderful way with animals. The whole staff has been great at Swift Creek, kind and patient. I'm so happy to have found this practice!
