This is a bad place. Got the work done, paid the price. Was promised medical records, etc. That was last week. Nothing since. Non-working number. No way to contact them. Beware. Go to your local vet. I wish I had done so. Now I have to go and repeat the work done. Stay far away from Vetco or any of the "affordable" clinics. next time they come to town I will be out front with a big sign warning people away. This gives me a bad taste for Petco as well and I will tell them so.

7/19/14 petco Avon dr and vet tech we nice and helpful. Many of the customers in line do not control there dogs. Customers let them bark constantly and run around causing (dogs and people) problems. My biggest gripe was that when my dogs test for Lyme came out positive I was told to go to a full service vet to get a prescription for dioxicycline. They would not give a prescription to me. The whole purpose of the visit to petco was to elimate the high vet fees.

Beware of the Pet clinic at Petco, Boston Rd. It's LuvMyPet from Marlborough, MA who sends vets there and techs. I brought my white cat Snowball there Saturday Feb. 8, 2014 for his shots. After waiting a little while in line, we finally got to the table for the shots. The blonde haired woman, whom I thought was a Tech snatched Snowball out of his carrier, one hand at the scruff of his neck and the other at his back, dragging him out to give him the shots.

Then she put him back into the carrier roughly. The young male tech who was helping, tried to put the carrier back into the shopping cart, but tipped the carrier, backwards, frontwards etc. while Snowball was sliding back and forth. I had to take the carrier from him and do it myself. That poor cat was off his towels and on the back of the carrier scared to death.

I complained on my way out when I had to pay the bill. I also tried to call LuvMyPet, but they're not open on weekends. I left them a message and went onto their website to make a comment. On Feb. 10, 2014 I called LuvMyPet and spoke to a Matt about this mistreatment. He said that woman was a Veternarian and wouldn't mistreat any animals.

I said he was not there, I was. She was not gentle. He said he would follow through on my complaint. But you know how that works! Just posting this for people who bring their pets to Petco to beware of the people there giving the shots. Snowball is fine after all this, but he did throw up on the way home, probably from nerves. Snowball as most of you know, was traumatized during the June 1st, 2011 Tornado when that tree fell on my house and has been doing better with noise.

He went through so much being in the attic when the roof caved in and also in the house when the Belfor tree Co. removed that tree from the house. Snowball is doing fine now, but I'm not happy about the treatment he received. I brought him there last year and it was just great. A different woman and she was gentle, no problems. Dogs are probably okay there, it's different, they're on a leash. Love my cats and dogs and don't want anyone mistreating them.

Customers line up for service. On a recent visit to get my dog shots a customer came in and tried to cut to the head of the line. When I told her I wouldn't let her go ahead of me she got in my face, let her dog jump on me and hit me with the clipboard they give out. The customer behind me spoke up and told her to stop. The associate watched the whole thing and did nothing to help me at all. Less expensive but not worth the hassle

I brought my dog to Petco to get her shots yesterday. Luv My Pet sucks. My dog ended up getting a severe reaction to her shots. I had to bring to the vet. So much for Luv my Pet being a good place to go. I will NEVER bring my dog back there again. They didn't even care that my dog got a reaction and they were rude to us. Thank god my dog is okay.
